Hi. Nice video. Was in Seminyak. The beach was Dirty. Direct sewage water into the ocean. Bali is pretty BUT too many street dogs . I loved Nusa Dua.thanks for a informative video
That was great thank you, i have just come back from Suner & it was lovely a good community & retired people. We found it to be a bit expensive now with the new icon shopping & not so many markets unless you go on the beach front and get taken down the lane to the markets....hard to get a bargains especially when we can buy some price at kmart or online now.....However i was happy to pay as know how hard it is to make a living in Bail. Love your videos. 😊
hey thanks Matt , appreciate this! would you help make some guide for single mom with child to live in Bali? :) almost seems like Bali kind of caters for single young people -- well Im not young, but i look young : ) - also not into the club partying and all, but, can chill out at the beach clubs there - not into a very quiet paddy field either; just something balance with beautiful beach :) -- can't wait to hear more from your videos!
I was just in Ubud for a couple of weeks in July, and the traffic was crazy in the city centre. I currently live on the Sunshine Coast in Australia where there’s very little pollution (hardly any really), but the air quality in Ubud really hit me. I came prepared with gas masks for us to wear (I work with machinery) cause I thought we might need them and we definitely did! Petrol is all you can smell on those busy roads in Ubud.
I would disagree on Ungasan. We live there and we love it as it’s very close to most of the nicest beaches in Bali like Melasti or Pandawa. And with its connection thru Nusa Dua and the toll street your quick in Sanur or Denpasar. With the Sidewalk Mall it has an awesome supermarket and a great Cinema close by. So beaches and also connections are great in my opinion. Cheers Sascha
For surfing, is it mostly intermediate and advanced surfers that come to Canggu? I'm somewhere between beginner and intermediate and would prefer to live in Canggu being a digital nomad, but my trip is centred around getting better at surfing. Would Kuta be a better option because of the waves, then?
Hi! How could you not mention the water situation in Uluwatu? Good chance in 4 or less years (because of water shortage or predicted shortage). Main reason I have not moved there.
Ive been in Yogjakarta in Java, i loved it, BUT, the humidity and heat was very hard for me. Is Bali better to cope with that? Any tips where to go foor a bit cooler and less humid envoirement there? I would love to see Bali. Also im open for the same tips around Yogja.
I didn't understand why too many bule love Canggu so bad. But now yeah I understand. I'm such a loner person, so of course I don't really like Canggu. Too many villas n cafe have been built, but the infrastructure still so bad. I'm not a bikers , I always prefer to drive a car. So yeah its kinda hard to find a cafe in that area that has enough space for car parking. And I don't know why no one mention Nusa Dua, they are so well-known as the cleanest beach in Bali with beautiful white sand beach.. I think it's because Nusa Dua is too exclusive, it's the best place for 5 stars hotel only. Thank you for the update!
@@yourmatematt Yeah I think it's a bit hard to find cheap accommodation in Nusa Dua,, especially for now there is G20 event in that area , right.. All cafes n restaurant in Bali Collection nusadua is good, but very pricey. Maybe u can consider to go to Edelweis Park (Padang Bunga Kasna).. it's close to Besakih temple. The entry ticket is cheap , but you will get beautiful scenery with full of Edelweis flowers n Mountain Agung view. I think.. not many foreigners who make videos there.
@@yourmatematt There are actually public beaches in Nusa Dua with local warungs so you can stay in cheap hotels / guest houses nearby and go to the beach like the locals did. The wonderful thing about Bali is many places are hidden behind a street or gang so you will not notice if you miss a turn like Tanjung Benoa which is a continuous shoreline with Nusa Dua. The whole Nusa dua beach line stretches for miles and the reasons surfers don't go there is because there is no surfable waves and no sunset over the horizon as it is east facing. Tanjung Benoa has many cheap hotels as well which is just a left turn at the roundabout before entering Nusa Dua security check.
Sir, I can't thank you enough for making this wonderful video. I really appreciate it.

When i was visiting Bali in 2017, the western beaches were washed with tons of garbage from (i assume) Java. Does this still happen every year?
this is the best summary, thanks

@@alexlee2765 after making this video we actually found that! Nusa Dua is a much bigger area than we thought. We will do a whole video there soon
What do you mean traveling a long time ? From some places are you talking 2 or 3 hours ?
was wondering how is Uluwatu after 2 years now!
Canggu - one love ❤️
Sanur, no mention of new hospital and new mall? No this was done a year ago, but these were on the plans. then.
East Bali?
How do you make money there?
There are lots of ways - what are your skills?
Lovina?
Nothing really going on up there but would be very relaxing
Singaraja vs amed ?
Thanks .. very interesting
When you say a long way from anywhere, do you mean 2 hrs drive or 5 hrs drive? 😂
if u on budget try denpasar lol
Yes true! I should have included Denpasar!
I did. Spent a week there, very cheap, got to really interact with locals, great experience 👍
@@yourmatematt hi mate I have to ask is marijuana illegal in Bali? And are there venomous snakes etc there?
@@michaelcooke8665 yes and yes bro
@@yourmatematt indica sativa and vipers sounds good too me thanks mate do you live in Bali or just hang out there a lot?
Semjnyak, Canggu traffic is terrible. Go east
Sanur... Bit ageist.
I agree
@@yourmatematt You are actually looking a bit old for Bali yourself. It's a young persons destination, not really for the 40+ crowd .
any CASINO'S OVER THERE
Noooooo illegal
Lovina?
