I'm hoping that when J. None gets done with his military stint he comes back to VoicePlay full time again. This lineup is my dream VoicePlay lineup. The five of these guys just sound so great together.
@@st4rpt_603 They had tried to sign DeeJay Young and he wanted to but…he had literally just signed on with Hamilton. If you look at the picture they are using for FB and TH-cam, you’ll see DeeJay is in it. I suspect they are waiting for his contract with Hamilton to expire. I love this combo, but I don’t see it as being long term. So many of their older arrangements require a tenor higher than what Eli can do for any length of time, and they’d have to completely trash or rewrite all of those. DeeJay is a very high tenor who can carry those parts. So he’s my bet.

J None is amazing. He was part of the group until he was recruited by the US Navy to sing with them in 2021. We're all hoping he'll come back to the group full time when he gets out. This is my VoicePlay dream team line-up. I'm sure you can see why, lol.

Yet another reactor reduced to mush!!!😂 Patrons have been privy to it for a while now have started growing back brain cells so we’re able to watch it again and enjoy the rest of you having your brains ooze out your ears. Done by Miracle of Sound, the original is a bit slower in pace and no rap. To me it is the feel of a song they would sing sitting around in a tavern. This is what they would sing on the battlefield. They are both amazing, just different feels. Layne did the arrangement and Eli the amazing backgrounds. It was filmed, not green screen, but at a studio with immense (Full wall!) led screens. And while you were right about the chanting, you were wrong also. It was led with the percussion. They can indeed sing any genre. You might want to check out their non-verbal pieces. They did the theme song to the HALO game. The composer was on another reactors channel and was pretty darn impressed. If that’s not unusual enough for you they also did a classical orchestral piece from Peer Gynt: Hall of the Mountain King. When you watch again, listen to the outro - the music is the karaoke track - just the BGVs which could stand alone.
I think you got the desserts wrong. I think they should have been Baked Alaska and Bananas Foster, definitely pyrotechnics involved. If you're going to do Moana, let me suggest you do another twofer. Do it with the Little Mermaid Medley. Same featured artist, Rachel Potter, Earl is in Moana, J None is in Mermaid. You can judge how much the vocals have improved, but it is the technical differences that are telling about where they are as a group. OH, they did a mini of Your Man, you will love it!!

The craziest part to me is that Geoff is going so low, and sustaining it for so long. I’ve told everyone I’ve shown it to, to listen to it with headphones because you’ll for sure miss stuff specifically what Geoff is doing in the background if listening without headphones

So there is an old video "Love Yourself" that is just Geoff and Eli, and another "Death of a Batchelor" that is just Geoff and their old tenor1 Earl.
