It was driving me mad, at how I could reset my KDL-40WE663 Sony. The picture kept jumping back from Standard picture to Vivid & I didn't know how to stop it. Hopefully after your video to factory reset it, that it's fixed it to remain on standard I had it set at to begin with!

I just bought a Sony Bravia TV at a resale store - I can get some channels but not all. I do not have cable .I use Antennae. I put two antennae's in the cable hook and the UHF heok. Now I can get some channels but not enough to make the TV worth it. Should I do a factrry reset? KDL - V32XBR1 Thanks in advance for any suggestion. Do not have the remote. Will have to get a universal remote at Wal-Mart later tonight.

Thanks for your content man. Is there an option how to format the TV and reinstall the OS? I have an issue with the screen, because it starts to flicker when I start the TV by a device which supports colorprofile 422. No matter if it is an Apple TV 4K, PS5, PS4 Pro or XBOX Series X. The TV says its HDMI Ports 2 & 3 support colorprofiles up to 444. But almost everytime when I start it with the given devices in 422 the image goes on and off. So when I restart the TV by pressing and holding the ON/OFF button everything works fine. Is there something wrong with the hard- and or software? What can I do?
Commented on your last video but same thing here. I have a Sony XBR-49x830c which physically says Bravia on the top left frame of the TV. When I hold the ^ button on the remote the white light underneath pulsates like a button is being held, because it is. I then tap the power button and the TV won't turn off because (I'm assuming) another button is being pressed (^ on the remote like you said) in conjunction. So If I press the ^ button, tap the power button, and then let go of the ^ button then the TV just powers off. --- If I press the ^ button, and long press the power button, and then let go of the ^ button then the TV hard/soft resets and does the Sony splash screen and turns on just normal as if all I did was hold the power button but the TV itself which is normal, but the TV does not factory reset :/
There's actually a much easier way of doing this if you have a Sony Bravia TV: - Settings (scroll) -> General (scroll) - > factory reset. I was able to complete this in less than 2 minutes - & I'm completely unskilled when it comes to digital stuff! I was able to find 13 more channels on digital auto-tune after I'd done this reset, following Freeview doing one of those annoying transmitter tweaks which resulted in us losing a load of available channels.
Thanks after and update and Refresh of all Apps on my KDL-55EX720, my Browser did not work. I did the reset and got the browser (albeit it loads slow and partially). I did have to reset it again after I tried to open it a second time. Does anyone know if there is an Update to make the internet Browser work better??? Anyways, I am happy you showed us how to factory reset it. It even got Pandora to work! Great Man!! I'm not sure if it will work the next time, but good to know how to reset!!
