私の陸士時代、バートル・61式戦車・62式機関銃・旧式迷彩全てバリバリの現役選手でした。
陸曹になって初めて米軍のようにスタイリッシュな裾出しの新型迷彩に袖を通した時、【写ルンです。】で写真を撮りまくったのはいい思い出の一つ。
さすがにセイバーは退役し展示品でしたが、ナイキJは武山駐屯地の片隅で元気に稼働してました。
ナイキが北に向けて起きている日は助教仲間が、「今日も露助が悪さしてやがる（ソ連軍が領空侵犯してる。）」なんてね(笑)
旧式迷彩はあまり効果がないと言われていますが当時の体感では効果ありませんでしたか？（突然のコメント失礼します）

昼間は草木を利用した個人偽装と併用すればそこそこの効果はありました。
夜間、草むらや掩体（たこつぼ）に潜んでも、旧迷彩の若草色（薄い緑色）の部分に車両のヘッドライトや懐中電灯の光がたまたま当たった時に、うっすら又はもわっとと反射するんですね。
それで【居場所がバレる。】【発見できた。】と言うのはありました。
また生地自体も、柔軟性を出すために粗目に仕立てた混紡地の現在の戦闘服＆迷彩作業服と違い、綿100％の目の細かい仕立てだったので、光を透過せず、反射しやすかったです。
