SoD Phase 5 Paladin RET GEAR! Its Bad... REALLY BAD

- No Int on Marshals gear
No -10s HoJ Stun
Ret Head Option = 6700hp / 2400 Mana 13% Crit
Healing Option = 6400hp / 5700 Mana 13% Crit
FR Option = 6200 HP / 5400 Mana 175 FR... but NEED RAG
Yeah so... TLDR = +healing gear = Ret Gear
Ret Gear = WTF is Blizzard Thinking
There are 5 GEARING Options for Paladin Theoretically possible
1. Stam/Int/ +Healing
2. Str/Stam/Crit/Spell Power
3. Stam/Int/Spell Power
4. Str/Stam/Int/Spell Power
5. Str/Stam/Int/ +Healing
Blizzard has go with 2/5... and 1 of those 2 is by far the WORST ONE in SoD Possible.
The other (Stam/Int/+healing/Crit) is actually some of the best gear possible in SoD for Paladin PvP... for all builds.

The ZG set was just datamined. Its all stam int and holy spell power. Shockadin absolutely coming online.
They are doing this because shock and awe scaling. 1:1 int:SP is straight up broken. It basically doubles effective spell power off the normal " heres a bunch of stats and sp" gear. Very bad game design overall, but as a holy shock enjoyer, I'm VERY excited for the zg + 2p t2 holy for 20% HS crits.

Bro this is such a weird take. It’s like you are trying to decide between being a blizzard sh@T eater cos they suck at putting sensible stats on gear. And complaining about a “full” ret pally. Complaining about being mana starved due to bad gearing. Being a weird low damage wearing healer hybrid gear pally just feels bad. I’ve seen you and Ark 1v1 you mostly lose to his dps as it pushes you to stand and hard cast heal and you just mana war. You just spam heal and trade your mana as he dps’s and he waits for enough mana to dps. Diff is he could burst and kill and have fun. You prob mostly only win if the target doesn’t decide to disengage and leave. I know what is more fun to play.
1. Blizzard is confusing me because they are doing MANY things right in SoD but when they get it wrong its ????
2. In the Ark duels you really don't care if your Paladin Build loses to other paladins as the only time you will fight other paladins is in duels. So a well built paladin is designed to fight anything BUT Paladins. If you want to beat Paladins in duels you go Reckoning, Prot, or a better more well rounded Ret Build. Holy Shock is HORRIBLE to fight a din in a duel so I wanted to test it out vs a din that knew what his was doing and yup... it still sucks.
If I wanted to beat Ark in a duel for some reason I would just Respec Reckoning and win easy. Deep Holy Sucks because, while you can heal well, your counter attack windows are MEH. Reckoning is a different Beast.

Healidan ret is not it hoss. I agree int is so needed but the stacking plus healing at the cost of DPS stats is wack.

And also wear 3 piece holy pvp gear so thats another +20 stam another -10 sec on hoj
Then get -15 sec on hoj from talents
That would be a 25 sec hoj cd
And you also get int, strength and shit load of stam

Tier one ret has, I think 2 pieces that have any int at all. The holy set is int + Stam + healing.

@balitopic711 The gloves have 13 int, and the chest has 12 int. Every other piece of the ret set has no int. If you go on wowhead right now, tier 2 is up, and it unironically has zero int on the ret and prot sets. Nothing he said is wrong about gearing.
I'll be wearing t2 and ZG set personally
Full ZG set, 2 peice t2 ret for 20% judge dmg, 2 set t2 holy for 20% crit on holy shock, 1h truth bearer sword and earth and fire shield then all remaining offpieces crit int and spell damage gear. Looking at about 750 holy spell dmg with shock and awe active, and 54% crit chance on holy shock.
If there's no Defense tier.... I guess I"m stuck in Tier 1.

If you gear like a clown... yes. If Not they go for over a minute easy
Can you wear half of the gear with strength stam gear
And the other half int and spell gear?
I want to try this out this phase. Using strength stam neck, back, bracers, belt, rings
And all the rank 10 int gear

@@Drotord I Think Spell Int gear doen't exist... +healing Int gear does... and Str Spell gear does.
Mixing and Matching is better then having no int to be sure. Other then that... no idea... depends on to many factros which is better.
Of course you can. I don't know if they are considered parts of the same set. If so you can even get the 6-piece set by splitting 3/3. But even if not, you can do a 2/4 or 4/2 split and get double stamina bonus instead of AP. That is assuming you want to use 6 ranked pieces when you could probably also use others and mix and match.
And those stats are not final btw. In any case I don't see a huge problem. There are still enough options.
forget the pvp gear for ret. its trash. you're going to rock 2 piece of t2 Draconic gear for the 20% judgement dam and seals no longer get consumed, then you are going to uses 6 set of t2 Core-forged to keep the 6piece bonus from t1, you can properly seal twist. then get yourself ashkandi or Spinal Reaper and just blow shit up with twists and judgements. You do not need Sacred Shield or any of this other weird defensive stuff. Only defensive rune you should take for pvp is divine light. use R1 SoC for your twists to save mana if you must. Literally never run out of mana especially while using Spinal Reaper since it procs on pvp kills. Don't play like a traditional pally, We have some mobility and big dam, play that shit like a warrior and zug

@@pallytime2156 look man you take Divine Light, go holy tree all the way down to divine favor, rest of your points go to Ret tree. Take fanaticism instead of wrath. With aura mastery, divine light is a full heal crit for big HoT, can’t be interrupted and costs 0 mana. you lose Repentence sure but if you are soooo worried about mana, that’s the build you play as ret. You don’t need the hit from Prot tree bc of how much hit is on the PvE gear.
@@alexp2689 its strong but you have to also use a fap against stuns and shadowreflector to doge fear and deathcoil ( fearward does not save you from deathcoil)
