Nice vid... great player...you've got a bargain there. We knew he'd go eventually and he did great for us, but his head had been turned and his form was poor last season and the start of this one. I'm sure he'll do well for Palace though. Wish him all the best. Good luck Eddy on your adventures. On form, Edouard is an excellent player. Fast, strong, skillful, scores beautiful goals. Good free kick taker. Good at bringing others in to play. For whatever reason he felt his time was up at Celtic and then seemed to lose confidence (in both himself and his team mates). All the things he did so perfectly and easily became hard. Instead of slotting it off the inside of the post or dinking the keeper he held on to the ball too long or hit it straight at the keeper. Hopefully he finds his form again as he is an exceptional talent.

Hopefully he finds his form again down there. Last 18 months has been just as frustrating watching eddy as it has been with COVID. Hopefully he becomes happy again and starts playing well again

I think he needs to score more headed goals. He doesn't do that enough. For a big guy he doesn't throw his weight about enough. He needs to do more runs to the front post to get in front of the defender and to score more poacher's goals as well. Crystal palace have got themselves a bargain. Nothing ever bothers him. Edouard is very good at dribbling and creating chances for himself. He scores in big games and while at Celtic scores against AC Milan and Leipzig.
One underrated Edouard moment is when we played hearts at tynecastle in December 2019. The ball is passed to Edouard who’s about 25 yards out and 4 hearts players are instantly pressing him. He casually backheel’s it into the path of Forrest who lays it off to christie who sticks it in the net.

EPL is going to be a big step up for him. There's no Ross County or St Johnstone with weak defences to be exploited.
It will be interesting to see how he fits in with Wilf Zaha and Eze (when we get him back).
Actually spfl defenders are tougher than most in England and harder therefore for a player like edouard to perform as he is v agile and bases his game around it.howver ofc the quality is higher in england

eddy lack of ambition will be his downfall..same as Christie...the financial imbalance ..allows mid table premiership teams to offer players huge salaries...but that's all...both eddy and Christie will end up as forgotten has beens. in the years ahead

From watching these clips it is obvious that OE is a quality player. The fact that Palace have a French boss should make things easier for Eddy to settle in and feel comfortable. My own take on what happened at Celtic is that he got a bit bored. Not that playing in Scotland is easy, in fact playing for Celtic (and that other team whose name escapes) is hard work because all the other teams raise their game and if nothing else you have to work hard for every point. Eddy seemed to be the type of guy who wanted to use his skill rather than go chasing after every 50/50 ball.
I'm looking forward to watching MOTD to see Eddy play in front of his new team's Ultras. I'm sure he'll do well for them!

He was good against halliday and holt did nothing against rangers once they signed some decent players
His big problems are hesitation and taking too many touches, which you can get away with in Scotland, he's also useless in the air. He's very confident so sometimes tries to be too flashy. I don't know if he'll make a big impression.
