Timely video! I have been trying to juggle health, climbing the corporate ladder coupled with continuous learning and doing impact work via NGOs. It all comes at one big cost SLEEP. Hoping that once I complete my masters, I’d be able to prioritize sleep but the goal post keeps shifting.

      Good sleep is underrated!

I have two my MD where they hate giving up 7 days a week to their career. However, making 7 figures in one year! You can't complain with a life that pays your retirement in under 3 years.

50% taxes, and spending >50% of what’s left
Don’t believe you’re close to retiring in 3 years off 7 figures

@resa574 depends on lifestyle and how deep into the 7 figure range you are.

@@GrainMuncher Exactly, plus if a person has a greater than 50% burn rate. At the level of a MD, it just full risk if there are set backs such as layoffs or restructured orgs.
There are vps/eds that have worst burnt rates to the point they have a negative cashflow.
Its the life you choose to live. You want to flex that high profile life. If not, learn to manage your assets and gain back the time you want.
I learnt to keep your net margins high if you want to live easy after 40.
