This is such a good idea! I love that you could all know what to get each other, but still have room to play and surprise within that, and it’s a gift that keeps on giving all year! Love it so much! And they chose such good books for you as well, I mean you did for them too, I just think your haul was such a good mix of things. And I hope Gutsy Girl helps heal your inner child, that is so sweet. 😊 We could all do with more of that!
Yes, it is so fun!! I can't remember which sister had the idea to do this, but it was a winner! I haven't started any of these books yet (my January TBR is....abundant 😂) but hopefully after I finish a few of my current reads I can dive in!
This is so fun and such a great idea!! If I had sisters I would totally do this, haha. Eleanor Oliphant is a great choice, and I want to see the movie too!! I love your picks for your sisters and hope they love them! Also, I love Pango Books 😍 I haven’t read any of the ones you received but Sea of Tranquility has been on my TBR cart for a while and The Paris Apartment sounds right up my alley! And I had no idea SJM wrote a Catwoman book, haha how random
I'm still confused by the movie. I looked it up and it looks like it hasn't been made?? Looks like it was announced several years ago but so far nothing has happened with it. But hopefully they make it and hopefully they do it justice!! Ooh maybe we'll end up reading Sea of Tranquility at the same time!! I was so surprised when I saw SJM wrote the Catwoman story!! haha sounds super fun though!
Oh that's such an amazing idea to do with your sisters!! I might steal this idea if any of my in person friends are interested in doing it 😍 These are such great picks for your sisters! Some I recall from your videos 🥰 I didn't know about Pangobooks! I'll definitely check it out from when I want to buy some of my 5⭐ reads. I didn't expect any of the picks that your sisters chose for you. I can't wait to see what you think about them.
YES, steal away!!! It was so fun! Pangobooks is definitely a great book source! I've really enjoyed using that app. I look forward to jumping in to the books they picked!
This is such a fantastic idea! I love how much thought and care went into choosing books for your sisters-it really shows how well you know them (or at least hope you do! 😆). The Only One Left was such an entertaining read, and I Must Betray You was SO good-I couldn’t put it down. Also, I’ve read The Sea of Tranquility and The Glass Hotel, but somehow I’ve never gotten around to Station Eleven... I should probably fix that! Now I’m tempted to do a book exchange like this myself. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts as you read through your stack!
Haha, yes, I am so excited to hear how they like the ones I picked. And then I'll use that data for choosing this year's books too if I need to amend my lists based on their feedback. 🤣So glad to hear that you liked I Must Betray You as well! It was such a good book. I haven't yet read anything else by that author, but I've heard good things. What did you think of The Sea of Tranquility?
This is such a fun idea! Hands Free Mama sounds like a really good and very relevant book. I may have to check that one out. I once owned the first Spiderwick book but never ended up picking it up 😬
Right?? I definitely want to be connected and present. It can be tough when my phone is my brain (literally, my calendar, my notes, my grocery shopping, etc) but always looking for ways to better achieve connectedness in a world rapidly growing in technology.
This is such a brilliant idea! I love that you're doing this with your sisters 💛 I would love to do that with my mum and my sister! Curious to hear what you think about The Emotional Craft of Fiction -- adding it to my list!
I don't know which of my sisters had this idea, but it was a winner!! You should definitely do it too!! I'll let you know what I think of Emotional Craft. I'm looking forward to reading it.
This is so fun! Only one of my sisters reads as much as I do but she only really sticks to fantasy/romantasy so not sure this would work for us but I love the idea! I really want to get to Eleanor Oliphant- was supposed to read it for Neurovember.
Yes it can be more complicated if you like reading different types of things. I didn't participate in Neurovember last year but I hope to this year. Eleanor Oliphant would be a good pick for that!
This is such a fun idea and I hope y'all create it as a new Christmas tradition! :) As you read the books each month, you'll think of the sister who gifted it to you! :)

It was SO fun! Can't wait to pick all the books for 2025!
