    I bought this scope for my 6.5 creedmore, over another IOR which I consider to be the best scope I have ever used. 20 yrs on a 338 and never a re-adjustment. The Cronus sighted in with 3 rounds and killed a mule deer at 267 yrds last week with a direct hit..yes I would buy another one....

      James T - Thanks James! You won’t be disappointed. The MOA BTR version is coming out after shot show from what I hear.

    Wow. Just found your channel when this video came up in my feed. Very well done! Great format, straight to the point and covers all the bases thoroughly. I just installed a Midas Tac on my 6.5 Creedmoor tonight, towards the lower end of the Athlon line but more within my budget. Hopefully it performs just as well. Subbed and on my way to your channel to watch more!

      Wonderful man I am glad you liked it! Ya I have used the lower end of the Athlon line all the way to the top end and so far they all have preformed very well. I think you will love your Midas, its a great scope. I just go in a Athlon Ares ETR that I am going to be doing a review on eventually once I have had time to play around with it. Let me know who you like the Midas and thanks again for watching!

      Joe Flowers - doing a 338 Lapua build and already have a tricked out AR10 in 6.5 CM. Really didn’t need two 6.5’s. So putting the funds into the 338.

      Joe Flowers - sorry bud one of our other subscribers bought the rifle. It is an XLR Element Chassis if your looking for one. The rear bag is just a cheap one off eBay and the front bag is actually a sand bag used for canopy tents...works prefect.

    I'm getting one for m high end, airguns. I can hit soda cans at 300 yards. Will be a perfect rat scope, I believe. i have a couple of weatherby high powers too. I like that 25 yard lo focus. I have a couple of the cheaper Athlons. This one will make up for the cost cutting in the cheao ones. The cheap ffp's are not bad at all. $389. This Cronus will be perfect. Thanks for the great review. No one has said anything bad about this. I can get this, plus another rifle for less than a nightforce.

    Hi, thanks for great and informational video. Question; I got the same scope and has I'll ready savage axis 2 precision. Looks your chaises are similar, which scope ring height are recommended. I'd like to very close to barrel for long range shooting. Thanks.

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video and review... I'm planning to purchase this scope also. Question... What magnification did you use to zero the scope/riffle at 100yds?

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas Jackson - thank bud, to be honest I don’t recall the power setting at the time of zero. This scope had already been zeros before this video. Probably between 10-20 power.

      I'm on the fence between this scope and the Steiner T5Xi 5-25x 56mm SCR Reticle. Do you have any experience with this scope?

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas Jackson - No I can’t say that I have much experience with Steiner’s. I have heard good things though. I don’t think your going to find much better glass than the Cronus. Glass aside, I would go off of which features you like better and price and for me a big factor was the Warrantee. I think each are priced about the same. I have seen a lot of good deals on Cronus scope out there for around $1200 from time to time. I also don’t think you would go wrong with Steiner.

    • @ImNoBSING
      @ImNoBSING 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thomas Jackson I was side by side with the Steiner 3-15x50 at the range with my Cronus and could not see a difference in image quality. But when I tried to take a picture of each reticle, it was very difficult to find the eyebox for the Steiner. Could not get a shot without shadows on the image whereas Cronus at x15 was easy.

    Jason, what calibre rifle were you shooting in the video?

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      James T - it is a 6.5 creedmore. I was shooting tuned handloads. This is a very accurate rifle but most of it is in my Ammo. I would not group that tight with factory ammo. The Bullets are Berger Target Hybrid 140g

      I’m building a Rem 700 in 6.5 creedmoor and the goal is to get out a 1000 yards, I’ve been hitting 500 just fine with my vortex diamondback 4-16 but I’m ready to take on the challenge of getting to 1000

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’d probably go with the Ares, used the extra money for reload equipment, ammo or something. They are both great scope and you won’t go wrong with either.
