    Good news that the longest on this route and major Bhima river bridge is almost complete (and also the bridge on Bhagirathi nala). Work on Daund chord line doubling has also started. Good progress by railways.

      @@mohangohar7340 Yes sure. Next target in Maharashtra is to increase speed to 130kmph in all major routes. Hope the daund-wadi stretch gets a speed upgrade by this year end.

      The 1st criteria is the entire section is to be doubled & curve to be eliminate as being done in Satara Karad section
      Once doubled the the speed limit will be increased except the ghat section

    They did considerable work on the most difficult Ranjangaon road scissor crossing and now it seems to have stopped completely. God knows why??

      Tru. The rock cutting was done almost 18 months back between ranjan gaon sarola. But they never tried to lay tracks there. There must be some reason. They must be having some kind of fear regarding rock cutting section.

      @@sachinnewaskar1000 Thanks. Could be fear of flooding during rains or the land may be unstable (it may collapse) etc. There must be a major reason for this.

    Rajangaon Road se lekar doosra line ke liye poore second scissor cross loop line ko ukhad kar 5 km distance tak gradient maintain karne ke liye earth removal kar liya hai. yeh bada achievement hai is section par. thanks

      Thank you for the update. Ranjangaon road scissor crossing is the biggest in whole country (gradient wise) and it is very difficult to build a double line at this station (just like Pophlaj station in past). Railways are doing a very good job making a double line over there.

    I read somewhere that platform no 2 of Nagar station would be made into an island platform. There are railway quarters next to platform no 2 and they shall be demolished. But there are people living over there who are not happy/protesting. I don't know if there has been progress on this. Have these people be relocated etc. or is this going to cause delay?

      They have to be relocated, as Parli - Ahmednagar line is going to be completed in the following year, New platform will be necessary.

    Nice video, thanks for giving in depth coverage of daund manmad doubling progress, a lot of work is pending between ahmadnagar daund so it will take another 2years to complete entire daund manmad section

      Nagar station is so old/ancient/antique. Although it is a big junction, even railway stations of some villages are bigger than that of Nagar. It is neglect on part of railways to never upgrade Nagar station (this station is yet like it was in ancient British era).

    Most respected Chattrapati Shivaji Maharjji's Pune (also called as queen of the Deccan) is surrounded by steep mountain ranges and major rivers on all sides. There are steep ghats surrounding Pune (like the very steep Khandala Ghat, Khambataki Ghat, Sindawane ghat, Malshej, smaller ghats like Katraj ghat, steep mountain ranges between Pune-Satara- Mahabaleshwar etc.) and also major rivers like Bhima, Krishna etc. Thus geographically it is not easy to build railways or roads in and around Pune (as it is not a flat terrain).

      Hubali - Bangalore route var ghat section, land acquisition issue navte, Main reason Hubballi is SWR zone headquarter. So fast work was expected.

      All of the progress is only because of Modiji's government. Congress party did not do anything for 50 yrs after independence. There has been immense progress on this route in past few years. Thanks to Modiji's govt. Also it is not always the govt. Land issues are out of control of Govt. There were many land issues on this route as well as Pune-Miraj route.
