The first time I went to see Tangled in theaters, during a scene where Flynn kept calling her Blondie, this little voice from the audience suddenly peeps out "Her name's Rapunzel, not Blondie!" and it was one of the most adorable things I'd ever heard :)
I was so obsessed with PotC 2 as a teen that I found the script online and memorized it. I can still recite Captain Jack's little spiel to Elizabeth, "you long to do what you want to do, because you want it. To act on selfish impulse..." Loved it.
I first saw tangled in 3d so when it got to the lantern scene it was amazing because all I could see was lanterns flying around me, Disney magic at its best 🌌🌌😊
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who cried at Big Hero Six!! The closer you got to number one, the more panicked I got that you weren't going to include Tangled in the top ten but of course you did
yh i cried a bit in big hero 6 too (like 3 times or something!!!) but i managed to keep it in a bit cuz i was watching it with my little bro and sis and their friend who didn't really seem fazed. but when i got home i did re watch a bunch of clips of it on youtube and got sad and exited then =) lol
The way you talked about Pocahontas gave me goosebumps, I really related to it too, especially because she loves nature, and believes that everything is alive and has a place and feelings. Also, the fact that gold isn't everything! I also love love love The Lion King, I saw it on Broadway and I cried after the opening scene because it was just so good!
I LOVE NEWSIES. Thank you for including it. It's one of those movies that I resist showing people because I know most of my friends aren't huge fans of musicals and if they hated it it would break my heart a little. A lot. A lottle.
Tuck Everlasting is seriously one of my favorite movies of all time. I remember saving my allowance to go see it at the theater and sitting in my seat sobbing by the end.
I took a 10-year-old from my schul to see "Big Hero 6". She is a very loving person, but, because of her autism, she sometimes doesn't connect with how other people are feeling well. Somewhere towards the end of the film, though, and I looked down to see her crying big tears for Hiro and Baymax. It felt like such a gift to be able to see her empathizing with the characters.
I watched tuck everlasting when I was little and couldnt remember the title but I completely fell in love with it, I have literally been looking for this film for twelve years and asking everyone i meet if they know it - thank you so so much!!!!
Carrie, you are such an inspirational person. I always thought that if I ever started TH-cam, I'd have a channel like yours (though I doubt I'd ever reach your standards!) You're such a down to earth, genuine person with such a bright view of the world. I'm so grateful that you one day decided to pick up a camera and film a video because you truly brighten up everyone's day.
Brave is my favourite (probably because I have the same hair as Merida, ginger and curly, and because I'm Scottish). Just like you with the lanterns scene I'm tangled the part when she is riding through the highlands and climbs the big rock xx can't wait to see you in April xx
I watched tuck everlasting (because of this) and I have literally cried so much today, thank you carrie!! "i will love you until the day I die!" which is never *sob*
YES YOU SAID NEWSIES!!! I'm so glad you love it too and wish more people knew about it!!! I couldn't actually see the Broadway show because I live in London but I listen to the soundtrack constantly; and the film or music will without a doubt pick me up and make me happy and determined when life can get a little bit crappy- definitely getting me through uni essays stress at the moment! As cheesy as it sounds it has made me try and "seize the day" and it's message just rocks! Also I may or may not be just a bit in love with Jack Kelly... 😃
I was astounded by everything you said because I just nodded my head in agreement all the way through. I totally agree about your favourite disney film being the one you're watching at that time! I was also so happy when you mentioned Pocahontas and Beauty and the Beast😀
My favorite Disney movie is Up! But sadly it's one of those movies I can only watch once because the first time was just too sad for me and i can't take the sadness again.
I AM SO GLAD NEWSIES WAS ON THERE! No one I know has seen Newsies and it breaks my heart because it's honestly my my favourite musical (film-wise, anyway) and it's so underrated!
Big Hero 6 is my new favorite movie, and I love tangled, 101 dalmatians and sleeping beauty. I saw Tuck Everlasting when I was around 15 I think. I have obsessed over that for so long, but had completely forgotten about it until you mentioned it just now, thanks!
THANK YOU CARRIE!! I saw tuck everlasting on sky movies on demand and thought I'd check out the trailer because you mentioned it. it turns out it's a film I'd seen and loved years and years ago and I never knew what it was called and I've never seen it since!! I think it might have been on channel 5 too when I saw it. as soon as I've finished typing this I'm going to watch it again. thank you again for that carrie!!!
Carrie! I adore The Newsies! I used to watch it every Saturday before swim practice! I am also going to see it this June at the DPAC in NC! It is going to be wonderful!
I am so glad that Newsies is on your list. Like you say, it's one of those Disney films that fell under the radar, but it's brilliant. My friend at school was totally in live with Jack Kelly. And knew the script and the songs off by heart. I will have to remind her of this at some point.
I can never choose what my favourite Disney movie is so I have a default: The Fox and the Hound. It was my favourite Disney movie when I was a little girl (I was riveted to the screen and it was the only time when I didn't wander off) and, though it makes me sob like no other movie can, I love it dearly and it holds a special place in my heart.
I love Disney so much that I wrote my dissertation on the music of Disney. It was super interesting! My absolute favourite Disney movie is Pocahontas. The scene at the end where she's running to see the boat leave makes me cry like a baby every. time. The underscoring + the emotion of the scene just URGH! Love it love it love it.
No, you are not! I was pretty disappointed when I finally saw it. After all that hype, I expected it to be mindblowingly good. In my opinion though, sadly, it was not.
Probably not... I feel like a lot of people who haven't seen are turned off by all the crazy raving about it. I saw it in theaters, but I really didn't have many expectations because the trailers didn't look good to me. I ended up loving it :3...but I understand how people can be annoyed by all the craze. It really is a bit overrated..
NEWSIES!!! That is one of the first movies I had ever seen in my life. Still love it, always have always will. The lyrics to every song and what happens are embedded into my brain. I have literally never met another person who has seen Newsies (besides my mum) and am sooo glad you've seen it!!!
I think my favourite Disney films are Pocahontas, Mulan, Tangled and Brave! I'm still so happy that I got to meet you yesterday! Your performance of On My Own was the best I have ever seen! :D xx
I absolutely love Beauty and the Beast, so much! I loved to read and imagine and come up with stories when I was little, but I went to a school where my class was full of kids who thought reading, or what I read, was lame, or boring, or stupid. I was never outright ridiculed for it, but it contributed to me becoming an unwilling introvert for many years. Belle helped me become ok with being myself about my books and shows and nerding out about them, and now I have friends who love it just as much as I do. And I learned that I could channel that love of stories and characters into acting. I hope I can play her someday. :)
I'm so glad you said Tuck Everlasting! Its so under rated! I'll be going to Disneyland for the first time in less than a month and I'm so excited I could cry! This video made me even more excited if thats possible.
Tangled is my absolute favorite and while I'm not sure that anything will beat it for me, the rest of my favorites change around a lot because what isn't there to love about Disney films? But Tangled makes me tear up every time, and then at Disney whenever I see something even remotely about Tangled I get teary, too. It's just so beautiful!
Newsies!!!!!!! I went to nyc for the first time JUST to watch Newsies. When I found out it was going to be on Broadway I had to see it even though I knew i couldn't afford it. But it was beautiful and wonderful and I love it so much.
Oh my gosh, I can't believe you did it! I have never been able to list my favourite Disney films, I name one and then I'm like 'oh no but...' then list about another ten before I go no I just can't do it I love them all, they are all my favourite. Well done Carrie, although I can't believe you missed lilo and stitch out!
So happy you mentioned Newsies, in relation to the Broadway adaptation I've always thought that you look like Katherine when you wear your Act I wig for Les Mis!
So happy you love Big Hero 6 as much as I do. None of my friends have seen it so I can't fangirl with them about it without spoiling anything! It's just so so good :)
I watched Aladdin for the first time in years and had forgotten what happened in it, now I've fallen in love with it. I just watch it on repeat day after day.
I was literally squealing a little at your #4-2. So good! I adore Newsies. For whatever reason, that's a movie that my mom and I can sit down and watch together at any time...which is rare because she normally has a very different (cough*horrible*cough) taste in movies and TV. But we will always have Newsies
I started trying to figure out my top 10 and wow, this really is difficult! Well done you as the massive Disney fangirl you are for being able to decide on 10 and then rank them too
I watched both Newsies and Tuck Everlasting in school (we also read the tuck book) and I feel in love with Newsies and it know what you mean about no one knowing what they are but im glad that its getting the credit it deserves!
I've seen both Newsies and Tuck Everlasting. So you're not the only one! I think I need to rewatch Tuck Everlasting, though, because I hardly remember it.
I have to say, The Hunchback of Notre Dame is probably my favorite Disney movie.
Same! :D
First time I watched that movie I swear to god I though I had pressed a button on the remote because it was so dark in the first 5 minutes!
Oh god I know! And the whole hellfire sequence is so incredibly dark but thats what makes it so good I think
The first time I went to see Tangled in theaters, during a scene where Flynn kept calling her Blondie, this little voice from the audience suddenly peeps out "Her name's Rapunzel, not Blondie!" and it was one of the most adorable things I'd ever heard :)
I was so shocked Lilo and Stitch didn't make it!
Same! I was sitting here, just waiting for it...
I saw on another comment, she forgot it!!! Aha :)
Will you, PLEASE, vlog while you're in Disney with Pete? PLEEEEEASE!
Please
I was so obsessed with PotC 2 as a teen that I found the script online and memorized it. I can still recite Captain Jack's little spiel to Elizabeth, "you long to do what you want to do, because you want it. To act on selfish impulse..." Loved it.
I first saw tangled in 3d so when it got to the lantern scene it was amazing because all I could see was lanterns flying around me, Disney magic at its best 🌌🌌😊
Newsies is, hands down, my favorite Disney movie for life. Now I need to see it again jfc.
Random little compliment; your eyebrows look really healthy and lovely in this video! Have a wonderful time at Disney xx.
how weird i was thinking the same exact thing when i was watching this video
I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who cried at Big Hero Six!!
The closer you got to number one, the more panicked I got that you weren't going to include Tangled in the top ten but of course you did
yh i cried a bit in big hero 6 too (like 3 times or something!!!) but i managed to keep it in a bit cuz i was watching it with my little bro and sis and their friend who didn't really seem fazed. but when i got home i did re watch a bunch of clips of it on youtube and got sad and exited then =) lol
I bawled within the first 10-20 minutes dont want to spoil it but honestly did not see that coming with the brother
I was trying really hard not to cry because I was on a plane surrounded by strangers when I watched it! Tears are acceptable, sobbing is not xD
I also cried 3 times haha, it's so sad though, my parents just laughed at me :-( I don't understand why everyone wasn't crying!!
I did too x
I could never ever ever choose just ten disney movies. They are all so perfect.
NEWSIES is my all time favourite musical! the songs and the way it is put to gether on stage is amazing!
TUCK EVERLASTING IS THE BOMB!! I am so happy someone else loves it just as much as i do!!
Never too old for a disney film
I LOVE NEWSIES. Thank you for including it. It's one of those movies that I resist showing people because I know most of my friends aren't huge fans of musicals and if they hated it it would break my heart a little. A lot. A lottle.

Tangled yesssss! I have watched that movie over 30 times since it came out and it still makes me cry :)
I watched tuck everlasting when I was little and couldnt remember the title but I completely fell in love with it, I have literally been looking for this film for twelve years and asking everyone i meet if they know it - thank you so so much!!!!
all the movies you said, "you've probably never seen." are some of my absolute favorites!
Carrie, you are such an inspirational person. I always thought that if I ever started TH-cam, I'd have a channel like yours (though I doubt I'd ever reach your standards!) You're such a down to earth, genuine person with such a bright view of the world. I love that artwork at the end! So funny that they put that name on the cup haha
OH MY GOD TUCK EVERLASTING!!!! LOVE that movie. It used to be on during my bus trips home from boarding school all the time.
Yes! Carrie, I'm so glad that both Newsies AND Tuck Everlasting made it on your list!!
I watched tuck everlasting (because of this) and I have literally cried so much today, thank you carrie!!
"i will love you until the day I die!" which is never *sob*
I LOVE the Newsies! Seize the Day and Carrying the Banner are SO great!
I LOVE TUCK EVERLASTING. I found it at goodwill on VHS last summer and proceeded to watch it a million times in one week.

NEWSIES IS AMAZING!! AND SO IS THE PRODUCTION!
Mulan is definitely my favourite, has been since I was little and I can still listen to I'll make a man out of you on repeat for absolutely ages.
Hope you have a wonderful time at Disney! ❤️ You are a massive inspiration to me Carrie so thank you for being here for all us hopefuls
My favorite Disney movie is Up! But sadly it's one of those movies I can only watch once because the first time was just too sad for me and i can't take the sadness again.

Hocus Pocus is FANTASTIC! I looooove that film!
Carrie! I adore The Newsies! I used to watch it every Saturday before swim practice! I am also going to see it this June at the DPAC in NC! It is going to be wonderful!
I love Newsies! I watched it as little girl who didn't speak English at all. And I still watch it like 20 years later whenever I'm feeling like it
I know it changes but I was actually really surprised that Lilo and Stitch didn't make that list. Like. Really surprised. Haha.
LILO AND STITCH I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT! I told you that list will be ever changing! XD xxx
***** a top ten is not enough, the list must be a top 20, there are so many movies!!
I was the same with Peter Pan. It's Peter Pan who doesn't love that movie
ME TOO!!
I am so glad that Newsies is on your list. Like you say, it's one of those Disney films that fell under the radar, but it's brilliant. My friend at school was totally in live with Jack Kelly. And knew the script and the songs off by heart. I will have to remind her of this at some point.

newsies is my FAVOURITE disney film ! its soooo underrated !!!

I can't believe I'm so excited to see someone else go to Disney World! Have a great time Carrie and Pete!
x
Am I the only person to not like Frozen?
No. I know lots of people who hate it :) xxx
I haven't seen it, probably the only person who hasn't.
I've never seen the entire thing, didn't really love the parts I saw. I'll stick with the classics!

Literally the best one imo
I'll just give my top 3:
1: Up
2: Mulan
3: The Emperors New Groove
