The Obelisk Exodia combination is actually rather scary when it gets going.
Slifer Exodia would be something to be scared of because they both love draw power.
I'm working on a draw heavy egyptian gods deck. I'm trying to decide if I add exodia or insert some of the wicked gods and sacred beasts. Part of why I'm thinking exodia is I like spellcaster decks and known a decent chunk of the cards fairly well besides the new stuff.
With exodia and spellcasters you could even throw necross in and contract with exodia.
But lol localized storm and some ra strats for endless deck and lifepoints. Spellcasters like an old school endymion set up but modern engine for spell search and recycling to the max. Never run out of counters. Controlled deck thinning with banished mechanics and being able to use gy and banished zone as resources now. Plus extra deck abilities.
Goes from control deck to a stun deck with a generic floodgate creates from endless hand Traps counters and an endless deck. Huge life points and some other little stuff means I can cheat around walls.

If you think the God Cards are bad, their supposed "counter-parts"; the Wicked God, is hoo boy so bad. It's be interesting to see those in action tho, their design is pretty cool

@@rhymestyle Isn't it just a Dark magician deck but swap out like 2 cards for Slifer specifics? The main focus of this challenge is the egyption god cards but your deck makes it so the egyption god in question is just a pebble in the way of your dark magicians :/

I wish Doto played more Master Duel, always loved watching him winning with goofie decks, but then I remember that fun decks aren't allowed in Master Duel unless they adhere to at least some meta.
Well there's a casual queue now for this exact reason. Also, fun decks can climb, but running into the same decks every other duel gets incredibly tired.

Does it actually allow you to gain gems like ranked or not?
@@MrAxedead Sadly it doesn't. The casual queue is quick, but it doesn't progress your duelist level and you don't get gems off it

@@MrAxedead it's faster. Duel rooms basically needs you to wait for someone to actually join your room and stay, Casual Match is quick-match making like in ranked.
Not to mention that is probably the only way to make it an actual casual mode and not just rankless Ranked with meta decks farming gems on it.
I love how Rhyme adds the summon animations from Duel links in his Yu-gi-yo edits! I personally think Master Duel should have those kinds of animations, and not so much the "Card art with 'gif' style background" thing. At least in Duel links it feels like the quote 'signature' monsters are that much more prominent.
id love to see this idea revisted but with different decks. honestly your dark magician deck was...well just that it was just a dark magician deck that just had silfer in it really and personally its not all that interesting to watch when you make it so your opponent just cant use spell cards. that last duel was just you playing the game and your opponent just sitting there not able to do anything the whole duel
@@duelmasteryuya1205 He won because he knows how lame Rhyme plays, and was smart enough to run evenly matched. Maybe thats what him and Doto should do, load decks up with counters so Rhyme cant do his boring sweat plays
I would also like to add i dont have a issue with how he plays the game. If thats the kinda deck he likes playing with thats great. I totally get that satisfying feeling of blocking out your oppents. I just feeel when your making a video it can get a bit boring to see the guys oppenent not be able to do anything. Also again it was meant to be a god cards focused video but it didnt really feel like that

The dark magician thing felt kinda bad, just bc it was literally your normal dark magician deck, sub out a card for slifer. Kinda not really in the spirit of the challenge imo

As a fellow homie dropper I agree with Seereax and making them available to all. Unfortunately the people I would give them to (non meta decks that misplay) forfeit before I can homie drop them
I hope homie drops will be more common in the casual match ups bc in ranked, the decks I misplay with are hard to recover from

@@MegaMew204 with heroes, I ended up teaching in super poly and links in the extra deck with ba minimum hero monsters. I got borrel 4 link. Verte either for code talker plays or fusion destiny. I don't use link 4s often but they're a nice option late game

of the Egyptian Gods, Obelisk is the most practical one despite having very little support. least Konami could do is pair Obelisk up with the Blue Eyes archetype or any archetype that can help trigger Obelisk's effect

Sam (TeamSamuraiX1) has a wicked God deck, one he used against Rhymes' Sacred Beast (it had a pretty cool moment in it that I won't spoil).

Honestly I was a bigger fan of the wicked gods( eraser, dreadroot,and avatar) I just thought they were more interesting with how there effects actually played into how the were portrayed

To put things into perspective- If I tries beating the other Decks with my Duel Links(Galaxy Eyes) I would have a fair chance of winning. If I tried that with Dark Magician I would get massacred. This is not fair and Dark Magician is used in so mang other videos everyone was expecting something new, not *Dark Magician with like one Slifer*
Feels like seerax and doto were trying to make Egyptian god decks for content and entertainment and rhyme made an Egyptian god deck to win

Watching this video, I just realized there hasn't been a 2v2 mode or 4-way duel mode in Yu-Gi-Oh games in forever, if not ever. I wonder if Master duel might try to do that one day

@@rhymestyle I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh so I have no idea, but I do know you did less than 2,000 damage with Slifer across two games, and all that damage wasn't even needed, it was just done to flex... which was funny, but still, if you removed Slifer from your deck, what difference would it make?
@@nathanevans1382 Rhyme used the dark magician deck so that him and Deion can have a fair duel, if Rhyme used the poker card monsters, Deion would've swept the floor with bot rhyme and doto, not to mention sphere mode. Are you that dense?

Slifer is searchable and easily summonable if you play the kings, queens and jacks knight package

Hey there! Late to the video, but I just wanted to point out that SeeReax is correct in his suggestion that the Three Musketeers of Face Card Archetype has a high amount of synergy with Slifer. The core cards to make it function would be Jack's Knight, King's Knight and Queen's Knight, in addition to Joker's Straight and Thunderspeed Summon. There's a lot of other great options for things to add, but those are the basic requirements to have it work.
I play that archetype as my main deck on Master Duel, and with how much that archetype can swarm the field and recycle cards from the graveyard (especially with Joker's Knight, Joker's Straight and Joker's Wild), Slifer can easily dominate the field, especially if you add in cards like Honest for sneaky battle plays. I don't think the archetype was given it's support specifically with Slifer in mind, but given how much it synergizes, I'd say it's the best bet to build a Slider deck around.
