- They may be the happiest people we've ever met. For part 4 of our Egypt series we went far off into the desert by the Red Sea, and spent time with these incredibly kind people who have been living in the deserts for thousands of years. They've never lived in cities, have never experienced pollution, and spend every night by a fire under the stars. Not a bad life :)

Who are we?
Yes Theory are four friends from four different countries who constantly seek discomfort in order to grow. Ammar, Thomas, Matt and Derin met in Montreal, Canada in the summer of 2015 and bonded over their shared desire to live a life that challenged and excited them. Fast forward to a year later, the team is now based out of Los Angeles, making a show on Snapchat Discover.

Egypt is next for me, I'm 5 years with MDS and I didn't think I would make it long enough to go. We stayed with in a Bedouin camp in Jordan near Petra and we were treated very nicely, and I think it would be beautiful to experience that again.
If anyone reads this and can recommend unusual things to do in Egypt I would love to hear it, we are currently looking at our options and figuring out what we can do in the time we have, will be about 2 or 3 weeks. Also, we will be there over the Christmas holiday, unfortunately with my condition I can tolerate the cold much easier than I can tolerate the heat. I'm having trouble in Houston, so I can't imagine Cairo in the summer.
So, I've bingewatched all of your videos over the last couple days and realizing that Ammar is from Egypt just made me SO happy! My wife and I went to Cairo and Sahl Hasheesh like 6 months ago. Literally, it was one of the most life altering experiences and this just made me want to go back! Ugh...

This reminds me of an experience I had in the Moroccan Sahara desert, where there were locals/guides that were so friendly that they invited my friend and I into their private tent while they were about to break fast during Ramadan and shared their small amount of food with us, like curried soup and milk mixed with apple juice. You guys captured your desert trip beautifully and Matt was so curious about the Bedouins; it was great that Ammar could communicate directly with them. I'm always in love with your content, especially the travel videos. Much love from Singapore.

You guys are so humble and I love it when you show us those little segments of getting to know more about others and their cultures. You're all really kind and considerate and I feel like I like hearing Matt interviewing others this way, maybe it's his voice tone that helps or his kind gaze. I don't know but I wish there would be a future series with you all doing similar segments.

This was such an interesting video to watch! Last year I had the honour of spending the night in a Bedouin camp in Palestine as well as a six-hour long desert walk the next day, after watching the sunrise above Jordan. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience!!
