I love being black honestly!! I’m a Baton Rouge native Southern University bound 🤪!! but I love watching hbcu turn up and show out!! Makes me so happy and proud
As a former HU football player I’m proud to say I love my band. I spent many days in Moten Hall listening to them practice, I had no idea how hard they worked. Love to see the Alum and current students out there Get’en it. I am hating though because I didn’t get to play in the renovated stadium😀
I miss my home by the sea....I am a proud former Marching Pirate. So good to see the tradition and remind me of the great memories created with this band and with my Hamptonian family from 1997 to 2001. #saxomatic #marchingpirate
Let me say that coming from Nj in 1983 and going to texas to attend Prairie View A&M was a shock seeing how it goes down in the deep south. Amazing! With that being said just let me say it took the OLD ladies to show the YOUNG ladies how it is SUPPOSED TO BE DONE!
it was always a choice of watching the bands or go get in line for fish (if there was any left). lol. pops used to go have someone (usually me) stand in line halfway through 2nd quarter, that way you could enjoy the fish w/ white bread and texas pete hot sauce while watching the bands. nostalgia.
Man I love HBCUs, from Southern to Tuskegee to Hampton, Alabama State. No matter who you’re a fan of, nothing comes close to energy you feel from the crowds and bands. Nothing.
Soooo dope… can’t WAIT for Homecoming this year! Thank you to ALL members and band directors of THE MIGHTY HU FORCE for putting in all the extra time, hours, sweat, rehearsals, practices, games (in all kinds of weather when we students didn’t show up), ceremonies, commencements, etc. YOUR DEDICATION IS APPRECIATED FROM THIS ALUM!💙🤍💙🤍
Yes, that is correct. They didn't have to step in. It is part of homecoming at this HBCU. I have only attended Hampton's homecomings when I attended in the seventies. It is a tradition. If you noticed some of them were clearly aged well as dancers as well.
When you have the right seasonings and talent, you can do it ALL. Its called going after your passion, having balance and walking in discipline. But when you have no swag, coordination and can only focus on one thing at a time don't attempt what HBCUs make look easy- "it ain't for the weak". And WE ARE STRONG!
You people are so critical and jealous of everything we do. Why are you here, just to spread hate. You're a very small minded, human being. Try to do better and become a loving decent human being. 👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿👎🏿🙏🏿
@@robertleehorne904 when we get in our “who got the best band talk” I am usually quiet and our sister is an Aggie! But it’s all love. Glad we were able to experience it all. But your initial post had my cackling deep into my soul. ⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
This homecoming has Michael Booker written all over it which makes my heart so happy Virginia my forever love light skin man who are black especially Michael Booker non Latin descent Hampton Virginia
Mama leading the older women killed it ❤
The ladies came out and it was a WRAP! mic drop!
She looks like she is childfree to be honest 😂
The woman leading the older women who killed it, and she really did, I believe is Coach Brint.
So proud of our African roots!
Absolutely!!
Tyler Mac make way

Some of these kids ain't never seen they parents move like that! So proud!
They all came and gave what it was suppose to give black girls rock.
Blackwoman are a lot of problems...steming from the momma talking about how no good Blackmen are.
If you want to know the meaning of life it's dancing, singing, and celebrating with family and strangers
The alumni didn't come to play. They came with more heat then these young current students. They ate.
And every single moment is legendary! Love to see people having a good time!
My Home by the Sea really brought it. The collaboration of Past and Present was so nice to see💙⚓💙
My only regret in life is not attending an HBCU.
Mines too................ smmfh....
Facts not preparing to take SAT/ACT then walking on at Savannah State
Me too…🥹

7:44 what y'all came for
I can't stop watching!
7:44 Those finely aged ladies didn't come to play, they had something to prove lol
They need to invest more money into the band!

I LIKE HOW THEY DID THAT!
Once a band member always a band member

The Alumni didn’t come to play💙💙
We went hard back in our day ;) 1999 and 2001 were my favorite years marching with the force.
omg aint NOTHING BETTER than HBCU's...case in point....
ONE OF THE BEST TUNNELS I HAVE SEEN!!!!
The saxophone section definitely understood the assignment.
Heck,they all understood the assignment.🤗🤗
Awesome job everyone!!!!!!!
Walk girls teach some of these other ladies how it goes
I do not remember doing none of this when I was in the band at Hampton. This is so amazing and so now.
This was so beautiful to watch.
Beautiful viral moment for Hampton!

These women are the definition of fierce!!!!
This is so fun to watch, I can only imagine being there. 👍🏽
The Coach still got it after all of these years !!!!! YOU BETTER WORK OUT GIRL!
Boi that lady knows how to work a crowd!!!
I am sad I have always wanted my son to be in the marching band but my baby plays football instead starting Offensive Lineman
Alright get on down Alumni
That was beautiful👏👏👏👏👏💯🫶🏾❤️💕
I didn’t go to Hampton but I think I’m going to the next homecoming 😐
and take someone that is in highschool with you so they can experience it as well!

My favorite instrument was and still is the clarinet.
🤗🤗
Just cool. The love of an HBCU is truly infectious.
Not even 10 seconds in and I can tell this an elite HBCU drum line
amazing
I love this!
If I had went to college this is where I would have went. I hung out there after I got out of high school.
I loved H.I.! 😍

Low Down!!! No Splits?!?!?
They brought the vintage coooch back
I loved this Lol. Why were some of them not in uniform though? Were those alumni that had to step in?

So, even in MEAC, the bands cant play loud during action on the field? I thought it was just a CIAA thing.
💙⚓️💙⚓️💙
Cool
All well and good but it looks like fundraising is needed for some band uniforms...boosters where y'all at?

Yo grandma did the damn thing FRFR
She is like early 40s, but go ahead.
O
A hot mess. Wow!
If participants only spent half as much time in their educational studies as they do in their music/dance practice ......
Most of their students graduate 🎓 and Hampton is not an easy college to get accepted too. Come with love or dont come at all.
Have several seats 🤦🏾♀️🙄
