I don’t understand how a 6.3” phone is too small for most people. I’m 6’4 and a 6.3” phone is the perfect size. I’ve been using the pixel 7 the past 2 years for that reason. The pixel 9 pro is the first pro phone I’ve purchased since the 6 pro, which was too big. Every issue I’ve had with previous pixel phones was solved with the 9 pro. Google knocked it out the park with the 9 series.
I am 5ft2" & have small hands & not much dexterity - so for me, a larger phone which I hold with two hands is far better than not being able to hold & operate a phone with one hand
I agree. I got the pixel 9 thinking that maybe it was too small. But it has been a revelation. With my large hands I can one-hand this phone, which makes a huge difference in every day use.
I see the Pixel 9 as the huge step forward that Google needed to make their phones better. For me i don't care about a ton of AI or camera features. I like that the 9 fixed brightness, overheating, battery life and connectivity. All things in my opinion that makes it worth the uograde. Funny how most saw the 9 series as filler waiting on the Pixel 10 series. But Google surprised us.
There is no filler, Google designs everything for the phone. What people don't get is everything on Pixel just works. Can't say that about all android. Also the fixed the modem issues that's the main reason I got the 9 pro. I went on a trip this past year and boy my pixel 7 overheated like mad and got it's never been the same since.
Now that gemini live is free to all android users, I think it offers a more accessible interaction option to the average user. My mom who is in her 60's loves it. She didn't care anything about AI until gemini live.
5:03 tbf, I don't think tensor is to blame for the wait time, it's just the software that is slow. It takes the same amount of time to process photos and use magic editor on the pixel 9 and the pixel 6 pro.
I have to say that my designer soul is pleased with how fantastic your videos look. I have an iPhone 13 mini and am thinking of switching to a Pixel, although it will be difficult. I briefly tried the Pixel 6a and Pixel 8 in the past, but the environment didn’t seem as polished compared to the iPhone, even though the Pixel had a 120Hz display. Another thing that bothered me, though it’s certainly a small thing for some, was that in almost every third-party app there is a distracting bar at the bottom that makes the rounded display edges look square. Can anyone tell me if this has improved? Thank you, I'm subscribing now.
Reimagine is not "very gimmicky." In fact, I don't find any of the AI features to be gimmicky. I don't understand how you have the phone and you don't see all of the features that are upgraded and changed. Like the video on the pixel 9 pro is legs above the eight pro I don't. Are you guys just getting the phones for a couple of days and sending them back? You actually really using them? Or you just in an echo chamber with other reviewers?
I guess we're two different people when it comes to the use of AI. Things like pixel studio or reimagine do nothing for me. Maybe for your everyday life it appeals to you. I don't think your conclusion should be echo chamber view or I don't use it just cus we don't have the same use cases.
Yeah, that's exactly what it is. I don't have the use for the features you mentioned. I then go on to mention the things I use. I even forgot to mention circle to search which is a game changer
@CallMeKJOS the reason I call it an echo chamber is because nearly every reviewer on TH-cam has made certain to mention that Tensor G4 is way under powered, therefore, the Pixel 9 Pro is not a flagship. Which means that it's overpriced! The AI image processing is slow because of Tensor G4! The gaming isn't good because of Tensor G4! The 8k video boost wouldn't be necessary if Tensor G4 had more onboard power! All of those supposed knocks are fringe issues! Less than 1 percent of the population will be using the Pixels for high end gaming or 8k video recording! Yet, 99% of reviewers spend 50% of their reviews referencing how under powered Tensor is while simultaneously being shocked that it's performing at the same level or better than flagships in its price range! My question becomes then, If you really cannot knock the performance of the product for what 99% of the people are using it for and that same 99% are also buying other flagships at the same cost, then how could you associate that it's not worth its price? That being said, I'm sitting in a room among friends and family and we're discussing things that may require more knowledge or statistics. They start out asking Siri questions while getting all these half baked answers, and end up asking Gemini a bunch of nuanced questions in a full blown AI conversation while being simultaneously MIND BLOWN! That just doesn't seem like a device not worth its price when the BIG BOY 16 pros and S24 Ultras are sitting on the coffee tables and taking notes! I MEAN DAMN, the other devices can't even process the questions well enough to give accurate responses. They have all that power and no ability to correctly decipher language without repetition! The native implementation of Gemini on the pixel is second to none and has no close VOICE ASSISTED rival! But, too bad it's not a flagship and Google is ripping people off with its "very gimmicky" AI feature set!
I agree with everything you said. I got the Pixel 9 at launch, which I knew was historically an unwise decision. But I have been really happy with it, even at full price and knowing I probably overpaid by 20% (my last phone was literally dead though)
I am on my second Pixel 9 Pro XL. The build quality on these things are shotty. I am pretty sure the haptic feedback actuator in my second one is going out now
I was surprised that I experienced some downsides with the fotos of my pixel 9, since everyone praises it‘s cameras. Especially in mediocre lighting the autofocus couldn’t hold up to my iPhone 15 pro max and produced some blurry pictures when the motive moved slightly. That was disappointing.
Pixels hace good cameras,. One downside is the EV and shadow sliders, they're dreadful and dont work properly as the phones aggressive post processing overrides and adjustments made . Photos usually look great on the screen after adjusting the EV, but then the phone does its bit snd the photos look dreadful
I recently switched from the s24 to the Google pixel 9 pro and I have to tell you that the 9 pro is equal to the s24 however, the 9 pro has a better screen than the s24 and little better build quality than the generic s24
I don't like that I can't remove the date and time to be able to use the free space for widgets. I also wish I could place all of my apps in folders to make them easier to access.
There is none , you should have buy a Chinese phone Like wait for the global launch of the Oppo Find X8 Ultra, better photos and videos , better charging , better screen etc
Oneplus 12 and / or 13 are better, in my opinion, and a midrange Motorola Think phone are great underatted units as well, and my S24 Plus + Samsung 512 gig is my primary phone!
Please which will you recommend, pixel 9 or the S24. The pixel is actually more expensive than the Samsung in my country. While I do prefer the Google software but Tensor makes me tense 😬.
Pixel 8 pro is a fairly new model..you don't really need to upgrade manh.. most of the features of pixel 9 series are marginal improvements from pixel 8 series. Wait for pixel 10 series atleast, I read TSMC will produce the chips for the next pixel 10 series. The samsung ones are bad
@@marufio the heavier the better it's made well. I want something that's going to hold up. I can't buy at full price. Black Friday deals should be a good time to buy. I just hope the Google holds up as long as my Samsung did.

My complaint is price. you can get iphone 16 with much better hardware for the same price in UK. Its same money as Samsung S24.
