Inspired by my newest edition at The RCNetwork, the Axial Wraith Spawn KIT, I decided to do a full piece by piece (PBP) Wraith build using only the highest quality upgrade level parts. Mattzilla, Vanquish Products, MIP, SuperShafty, Hot Racing, Futaba, Tekin, Pro-Line Racing, Crawler Innovations, Voodoo, Avid RC Bearings, RC Screwz and Freqeskinz products will be used to form a full, do everything Wraith. The SpawnZilla, as I'm calling it will be tested in an upcoming U4RC race pending the completion of the build.

awesome build Rich. yeah, a build from scratch is expensive, but you get exactly what you want. you definitely used top notch components. no cutting corners here.
I have been following your piece by piece build. My wraith is all done, My R.T.R. now looks like your's. I love it,Swwwweeeeet !!I got the vanquish V2's,Supershafty Bullet Proof Transmission, Tekin RX8 gen 2,and SC4X 7.5 turn Love it.

I bought my son the bomber an posted a video of me running it, but I was thinking about getting a wraith for myself, but after seeing this video and knowing I'd wanna replace almost everything like you have, this route seem more sensible.
Sixwheel Carlisle yep, in the end, you'll have almost an entire Wraith sitting in a box after you upgrade everything.

just got my wraith spawn kit today! took a cruise around the vanquish site just to check it out and came to the realization that i may have to liquidate my 1:1 toy to keep up. it just collects garage dust most of the time anyway.
+humble rc Yeah, Vanquish stuff is quite pricey and works very well together....I still have my under chassis....waiting on a tube chassis

When you mounted the transmission did you use 4x 12mm screws or 2x 12 and 2 x 10 just need to know for mounting my transmission
They're all the same - I believe 12mm

Alright, Martin...for the third time....NO the Clod villa ins NOT the same as this. I've already said that the powerstroke shocks would work well on your clod villa...please verify the length that you need
That hot racing bottom plate should have come with 4 roller bearings that helps it roll over rocks and such instead of getting caught up on things... I used that exact same one for a wroncho build... Neways great build! You have a new subscriber!
+Ray yretreter It does come with roller beraings.....I would have known that if HR ever included any kind of instructions (EVER!) I also realized 9months later since this video) they're to protect the revo rod ends on the Vanquish links so they don't get sheared off in the rocks

Clementine Crawlers ah, yes.....I remember that! Yes, Axial has a way of making you WANT to upgrade everything.
You should check out the CKRC servo arm it almost makes the robotronic long arm and its super thick and stout that would be a great addition to that rig

Ok so I just got some mip driveshafts for my wraith but the rear end shafts are to short please help
CoopsCreekGaming I believe Wraith driveshafts are the same both front and rear. They do have two different sized outputs - you’ll need one on each side. So, long ones coming off the trans and short ones going to the diffs

+zorhis1996 I haven't ran it yet.....I like the fact that I didn't have to modify it to fit the 550 sized motor I'm planning to run. What I hear the negatives are is that it gets caught up on things unlike the stock plastic one

tbocfo not sure....everything was taken down a good years ago....all 1,000+ videos. They weren't the most entertaining or produced videos, but they guy had knowledge. I learned a ton from him

I wouldn't use that skid. Unneeded weight and doesnt slide over rocks well. Stock skid hangs up enough as is since its so big.
fr8cture Yeah, I'm on the fince on this one. A buddy and I are working on some different options for the skid. He's had the same issues with the stocker on a custom trophy rig
The RCNetwork I have a DMG transmission spacer that is suppose to fit the 550 size motors on stock skid.
fr8cture I just check those out......Looks good, and although minor, it raises evrything up 1/4". I saw the photo on RCC, any idea what the aluminum cross bars are on the plastic stock skid? @493734

+The RCNetwork i've been trolling around the vanquish site, and the super shafty site, but the curries are out of stock, and so is the 6mm bombproof tranny. shafty does have an ultimate wraith roller which has a mattzilla chassis with the 6mm tranny, plus a bunch of other stuff, but no curries. i think they have like 3 left. i cant afford it, but anyone who can should check it out.

I got the kit and refuse to go crazy like you did. Yes,I could if I wanted to, but no I decided to go strictly by the book. I cannot dump that kind of money on the front and rear axle kits. There are so many aftermarket manufacturers out there. I cannot justify the expence. I would like to relocate the battery, thats it. I know what you have. I do know the prices have gone down now on most of that. Buying metal everything for what was originally a plastic build except the frame bars. Why do you need a full metal frame on the Wraith Spawn? Titanium, why, aluminum? why? Seems silly to me really. I guess if you want to go overboard, thats your party. I doubt I will abuse mine anyways. I may run it once in a while, but no competition racing. Its supposed to be a crawler no? Yeah, thought so. You have what,over a grand in that? Crazy. To each his own.
