Hi Jojo. I'm so sad to hear. Let's pray. Father in heaven I am asking for comfort as we go through losing a beloved aunt. Lord would you help Jojo and the whole family. We need you God. In the name of Jesus amen
Speaking the truth Paul. I too was written off as a kid. Had continuous psych analysis and an entire teaching faculty that did nothing to even try and understand me. Quite the opposite, they encouraged bullying. As an adult I have adopted 3 thrown away children. I learnt to heal myself by healing, loving and nurturing them, just as I should've been. My eldest is now a father himself. The Lord makes us all different for a reason. As you say "it's our superpowers". You nearly brought tears to my eyes. My heart goes out to you Paul. You ARE amazing.
I can tell you understand because you speak from the heart. Not easy but we made it. And we are making a difference in the lives of those around us. Keep on keeping on my friend.
Thanks Paul for all you do! My son has autism. I was told he would never talk. He is now 13 and distinguished honor roll student talks fine and has a girlfriend that asked him out. He is doing way better than me at that age.
God is so amazing ❤❤❤, they was saying my grandson was gonna be that way but God had other plan's for him and shocked the Dr's saying that about him, he's smart as a tac
All of that from back then, and look at you now. Successful in multiple fields in your life, you own your days, and your doing good in the world. Yeah, teachers can get it real wrong!
I am so happy you told us about your childhood because I have a grandson that has the same problem as you have the attention deficit disorder he uses drugs and I worry for him so much. This is my daughter's son he is a wonderful person he just has a problem . He has no support from his parents no help nothing they only talk of him being useless. I pray for him everyday Mr Paul I am so scared he tells me he wants his own business I never tell him he can't but they do. I feel that I have to support his wants in life I hope that I am helping him I love him so much. Thank you for telling your story you are a fine man.
I think you look better without the goatee . So thankful to hear your story and am glad you hung in there. We have a grandson who was not interested in school and struggled. He finally went and got his ged which was better for him. I helped him out a lot and did a lot of praying and others along with me. Struggled to keep a job and now married with two children. I am so proud of him even when it gets tough he keeps going. He always calls me to check up on me and I never thought he would be the one to be that way! Love and prayers do great things💕🙏
@ScrapPalletMan donated it to the sunshine foundation for children with cancer. Every little bit helps and as I'm getting older I want to feel like I did something good in my life.
I was also one of those kids that was written off too. BUT my Mother was brilliant because she taught me what she knew which was sowing and baking. I excelled at both and that gave me the confidence to do what ever I wanted to do.
Happy Monday your right about bieng labeled it is not right. Life growing up seemed different when we were younger. Thanks for sharing stay safe and well 👍🏻 🙏
What an interesting video, Paul. Brought back so many memories of being in school. I was horrible in Math, to the point I would cry trying to do my homework but not understanding anything. Didn’t help that my twin brothers excelled in the subject. One went on to be a Chemical Engineer and the other a Software Engineer. But, I had a wonderful teacher in 4th grade who would help me to understand. Honestly, he took the time to lift me up and offer encouragement. During an Open House at my school he told my parents I was the “sunshine of his classroom.” Had the car window not have been closed when my Mom told me I would’ve floated away. I am more comfortable with Math now yet no expert, and that’s okay. I (and so many of us) learn a lot from you. I bet I could do those knots you tie all the time! All the struggles we go through, well, that’s just God polishing us like a rock so we can be smooth and shine brighter. God Bless You!
Great video Paul. I was also an FC Tech but in the Canadian Navy ( 25 Years) I did a cross pol on USS Macdonough ? for 2 weeks I really enjoyed it but quite different from a Canadian Ship. Managed to finish High School at the bottom of the class . the Military gave me the direction i needed .You right about FC's being the smart ones LOL. Finished my career as an instructor and then did 9years as a civilian in the same job. Enjoy your chats . God Bless
Happy to see you tonight,ty for the great video😇🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Its hard to parent, pray lots and love just as much I have a son whos bipolar 1 and didnt know it till he was 18 🙏🏻
I was bullied all thru school Didn’t really have friends. Left home at 14 worked for other people & graduated high school barely Entered the Army found out i wasn’t dumb passed the males test after I passed I had to take the WAC test I was asked if I wanted to be an officer I didn’t even know what an officer was so I turned it down that was 1964 I got out after a year went back in 1975 was medically discharged in 1983 went to work for post office for 23 years & retired. Have almost enough credits for my bachelor degree. But at 79 I’m not interested raised 2 children by myself. One is mentally challenged the other served 31 navy. He didn’t read til he was 9 & then only because of a dedicated teacher like you reading for him is still a problem. But I consider all I’ve been through God has richly blessed me.
hey brother Paul awesome video love your videos be awesome stay awesome be your self have a awesome great bless day and night you and your family thank you for letting me ride with you and seeing what you pick up you are awesome brother Paul thank you ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Reading is hard till you find something that makes you want know more. I too did not read till my teens. No one took the time to realize I just did not understand the words on the pages.
P.s. on way to scrap yard I get a call from my vet , my cat needs teeth pulled so that money is already gone, not complaining the pets are worth every penny😊🐈
Paul. My family all got GEDs. We were all brilliant. Just bored with the education system. Today, I have a BA. My four brothers have Masters with one of them 4 masters 😊
Paul, greetings from chilly Southern California! Such an interesting commentary today. As a retired teacher of 40 years, I want to apologize for the generation of teachers you came in contact with back in the 60s and 70s...the education system has been very slow to recognize that children learn at all different stages and degrees. Because I was someone who reading came easily to, it was not until I became a teacher with my own classroom, that I realized just how serious the reading crisis was with children in my care. My second year as a 5th-grade teacher allowed me to have as one of my students a world champion (at the time) dirt bike racer who had traveled all over the world, had a room full of trophies, and couldn't read. With the backing of his parents, I was able to get the administration to allow me to encourage him to read using comic books...and guess what? It was a successful "experiment" that I remember to this day! I tried during my career to take each child as an individual and to see to their needs. Obviously, class sizes being what they have always been (32+ students) I have not always been able to do that, but I tried to "bend the rules" when I could. I am happy to say that I am still in close touch with almost a dozen of my former students. Anyway, I am glad that you were able to do well in the military and with music. The Lord knew this about you and guided you even if you didn't realize it at the time. Bless you and thank you for sharing.🙏🙏💖💖
I am beyond grateful that there are teachers like you. Ironically I became a technical trainer for the last 3 years of my military service and I loved teaching. We weren't supposed to call it teaching We were only supposed to call it training. But the school that I was teaching was 5 months long. That is where I learned to love communication.
Good afternoon Paul. Good seeing all your videos today. I think you look great with the facial hair like it is now. No Michael today, that's okay, he'll be in one of your future videos I'm sure. Thanks for taking us along for the ride along with you 😊 😊😊😊
I so appreciate our schedule change of daylight savings time because we shortened the period where it’s dark at 4:30 PM for some reason it just makes it so much more manageable

I didn't find out until I was 55 years old! Nobody was looking. Even now they weren't; a friend at church with an Autistic kid told me. A good friend has ADHD and dyslexia; they caught on to the dyslexia while she was still in high school because she was a very bright kid who couldn't read at 16. This was 60 years ago. I think she figured out the ADHD herself. Back in the day you were just weird or a problem, and you either learned how to cope with it yourself or...didn't.
