Installing the Wagon Kitchen Chuck Box | Engels Coach Shop

The chuck box kitchen on a roundup wagon was the center of life on the old west cattle drives. Meals were prepared, bedrolls were carried, supplies were transported, and personal hygiene necessities were centered around the chuck wagon. Most of these were built on the ranch and adapted to general grain hauling wagons, so a variety of personal tastes were displayed in their build. This chuck box was build by a cabinet maker, a friend of the owner of this wagon, so the finish and styling is of cabinet quality, unlike if this was built by local cow-hands. However it shows the reality of the lifestyle of the working cowboy, eating and sleeping on the trail.
