awww...love them...I have 5 of them, mom passed away after birth she had 2 babies. I've named them according to coffee(mom's name) father is macchiato. baby is Latte, affogato. Latte had 2 baby as well named them flat white and cappuccino. Also they only respond to my voice. My wife, father and mother talks to them but they don't squeak. only my voice trigger them. My wife always says "you're the father!!" LOL

I use paper pellets in the litter/hay tray with a hay rack above. The pellets hold all the wee but it's good to know I can just use newspaper if I ever run out and can't get more straight away
I use paper pellets in the litter tray too. No smell and so convenient.
@@rosemarydeller8744 aren't they the best 😆. I often just take off the hay that's fallen into it and the top layer of poop/pellets and top it up with a bit of fresh pellets. They know it's the toilet!!!! I have C&C (Amazon version) and use sheets with puppy pee pads underneath
They are so sweet. I feel all I do is clean up after mine! Great article in the magazine.

I am still recovering from having to euthanize my girl, Mya, a.k.a. Party Pants & Piggie in the Dill less then 2 weeks ago. Despite not quite being 5 her health was not in a place that would have led to a good life moving forward. She was part of my senior herd all of whom are now 7. I also followed my gut and had George get chest x-rays and some lab work after he started honking and having some breathing issues. He was treated for a URI, but the issues continued. All in all he is diagnosed with Asthma, and now I am trying to find a dosing chart for his medication. My exotics vet is getting the work out.

I'm torn on whether or not to keep getting it. I will miss not getting it. I have to decide what to do, cancel or not. 😢

Our boys are in the living room and when I'm doing dinner prep in the kitchen, I only have to shift a bag of lettuce or bok choy, and the wheeking starts

I lost two Guinea pigs recently Their owner who was renting a room in my apartment Left them when they moved an I had to care for them using this Channel I cared for them alot Even saved lots of money doing my DIY set ups but eventually I was Sleeping after a long day of work and parenting an I went to check on them And One had Been on her side I Separated her from her mate, an She passed an two weeks later the Other passed away too, this Hobby isn't for everyone an its definitely not for people not financially able

You can purchase washing bags to put the bedding in, I only mention this as using a hair bobble on a pillowcase can end up in the hair bobble getting caught in draining impellor and the washing machine then doesnt drain. (Most in our house have long hair including some of my piggies but the piggies dont wear hair bands) and trying to drain piggy bedding water out the washing machine is not a fun task... so far only 3 times this year has a hair bobble got in there.... also a mini pair of tweezers and I didnt even know we owned a pair of those. I would put a link for washing bags but It can be searched for easily online.

I like to use Timothy hay but I use the SmallPETSelect hay. But only three of my four guinea pigs like the SmallPetSelect hay. I have one who doesn’t really prefer the stuff but they all Love the Timothy hay but mostly the little fuzzy bits of the hays. But every one of my pigs love pea and carrot flakes.

Had to put my piggy to sleep last week,, she and her sister had ovarian cysts , i had patchy operated on last year, but she didnt make it,, so i didnt want to put Snowy through that,, she was 5 blind but was doing very well without her sister,, its been hard,, but, i love ur videos , i can get my fix,,,, ill get some more soon 🐨🐨🦘🦘😓

I will say this. Even though it may portray me as the worst person ever. My guinea pig I got unexpectedly as a surprise. I didn’t know how to take care of one. So I went along with it. For the next two years I struggled to take care of peanut and clean his cage due to school. So this cage always ended up getting a bunch of bugs.. so i realized I wasn’t suited for taking care of peanut and gave him to my brother. Which he unfortunately did the same thing and gave him back to me.
Peanut lived for terrible conditions for a while. But in March I decided I was gonna get him a bigger and opened cage. $39 but worth it. 3 months later I built it and instead of using bedding I used the fleeces and they were a game changer! Not a lot of flys but WAYY less than the amount of flys that were there before.
I’m still adjusting to this and aswell trying to build a bond with my guinea pig and although it’s tough. I’ve got to say.. so far he’s letting me touch him in the cage!🎉
Anyways I made a routine which was sweep his cage daily and let him roam until I was done. This way his cage wouldn’t have much of a mess and attract lots of flys. (Which worked) I’m not sure if it’s good to do but I saw on another video that it’s good to do? But yeah.
When I put him in the new clean cage he was super happy! And then I went online and bought like 200$ worth of stuff for him. (Arrives tomorrow

What did you use to cut the piece out of the plastic hay tray? I tried to do that with a saw the other day and the plastic splintered and left a very jaggy edge. Love watching your channel and your piggies are so precious 💕

Hey Sarah! My Guinea pigs cage mate has died and I may not be able to get another one what should I do I have enough money and a good cage at 8 square feet but my mum says that I can’t get another one because they have to come in pairs please help!
