And only at Union (Player) level 40 and 50 are where you will see more yellow rarity echoes, which you want. 2. Echoes come with up to 5 locked substats and you have to spend a farmable resource called Tuners to reveal the substats through the levels in multiples of 5 until 25. Substats are final, you get what you see. 3.Only non level 1 echoes can be fed as fodder and you only get about 75%(?) CMIIW back, so the more you brick and redo echoes, the more EXP you lose. 4. We have Echo farming "domains" and they're a stamina scam because mob species are fixed there and there's no point in doing that over killing in the overworld for the specific type of Echo and stat that you want. Nobody does this. Some mistake at 7:35: The third Pyro elite is the giant lizard. 8:20: Electro has only two Elites. Flautist and Heron. So you're bricked with 44111 until you can get both of them at the right main stat.
Bro tell them to add mounts , or else collecting echoes is gonna be pain af, not to mention moving around the map looking for echoes while walking and jumping around is boring af(genshin experience) , having mounts will make it so better not to mention moving around the map will also be super easy and help to gather echoes much easily😢😢

Static stats do work in any games, it's just how they will adjust it. For now, what i see is they tried so hard to mimic what genshin has with their own style.
IMO, it's actually wild how they downgraded the echo system from cbt1 to cbt2. Hopefully Kuro will find a good balance to address our concerns. Good points Rex.

I could legit never pull gacha again on my account and it'd not depreciate in value since my best-equipped characters kill stuffs so fast they don't even leave room for enemies to even do their "unique" mechanics. Thank you for uploading this Rex ❤ It's times like this I really miss Dragalia Lost. So many potential wyrmprint builds without rng that also allowed the devs to create kits like combo count units or dragon/echo spam + ramping units. So much more freedom and way more interactive depending on the fight. 20 combo = 20% atk, class based crit rate + skill dmg, different punishers, break dmg, overdrive shred, buff + debuff time extenstion, skill haste, etc. that could be adjusted depending on the fight and solo vs co-op builds. I guess Relink players also relate to this style of system since cygames used something similar there. I know they most likely won't remove the full on rng aspect of the stats unfortunately, but bottom line I really hope they find multiple ways to make the gearing + stat side of the system more approachable and intuitive for all players while actually being able to obtain proper builds. Kuro has the potential to make so many cool units too I don't want to be stuck on 1 unit out of 3+ teams for months because rng is garbage so we can only hope some hotfixes are made by launch. Funny thing is not just echoes, I feel like if they had just twisted systems from pgr to work with WuWa's scope the baseline for even simple things like leveling characters + skills would feel better too. 🤣 Rant: I usually hate these styles of rng systems because even though they're meant to keep players working for something it's extremely restrictive and boring for building. Just replace atk with hp, def, regen, em, etc. to increase the grind for the same effective build for a "different" unit. In general players spend so much time for one set on 1 unit even the most dedicated players I see just leave that same build on forever instead of switching things up. Which is probably why most games with this style of system lack gear presets because they know most people just sit on the same build. Even in pgr at least I can change up 2 pc sets, use 2/2/2 builds on amps, or dv on tanks, depending on ppc, wz, norman, etc. Also why flat stats in an open world again? Movement speed, combo time, gadget or echo cooldown, echo damage, break dmg, stagger dmg, buff + debuff time extension, etc. If they're gonna throw in more "useless" stats to increase the grind I really wish devs would at least make the stats seem more interactive with the game or environment for utility sadly I don't see a gacha doing this anytime soon.
Kuro be like make ww godly stats just crit rate and crit dmg. Thats it. They make crit stat so premium, make it so "godly" and hard to get. Anything not crit is just mid or trash just like flat stat. All just around crit, crit and crit. The fck kuro 💀
the bird having other dmg bonus main stat is like genshin's artifact goblet piece. I still remember in the early days where I get a hydro dmg goblet on a fire dmg-specialized artifact set. One thing about genshin tho is that since there are 5 artifact slots, you can use one slot as an off-piece and still have the other 4 slots for the 4-set effect. Still a pain-in-the-ass grind tho.
Agree …. Hope they make some video/post addressing this (like they will improve/fix this echo system) …. If they do then we can agree that they really hearing their players feedback

Most CC don't even care about give feedback about the actual important stuff about the game. They just care about how "Why can I get to pull". It's annoying how we get mostly these CC that don't understand the pure reason why CBT2 is a thing which is for proper testing. Not just an easy seat for early access of the full game. They only care about their "Pure enjoyment". It's annoying. Thank at least we got some people like Rex and Steparu who actually care about the more inner depths about the game.
Most popult CC are just there to say "Come look at me playing this and producing the same content". Creators like Rexlent go above and beyond because they care about the experience of the actual game where they are whaling

I think removing flat stats as well as useless ones would be a good first step. For example I really shouldn't be able to roll Electro damage on a enemy type that can't drop a Electro set. Also they should let people deconstruct echoes and synthesize them for Xp mats and possibly tuners.
The current echo system with tunnings doesnt make any sense if theres no way to reroll stats with the same tunnings mats. its just another layer of burning energy. The range of substats roll doesnt matter if we could reroll the stats, because if u get all your desire stats u still will use that piece and farm another one.
yeah wish it worked like red usb from pgr, so its used more as a reroll and unlocking substats uses copy of echo so it won't bog down the inventory, win2 solution IMO

I just think people are blowing it out of proportion by saying it needs a rework when 90% of the issue is the stat pool and numbers issues. The matter of XP can be solved with an already existing system. Just let people deconstruct echoes into a material that can be used to synthesize XP. Also Tacet fields need to be able to let people pick and choose the echoes because of how expensive they are to claim. Most of it's probably an oversight or just simply a mistake that needs to be reevaluated
Why don't they make an NPC (shop) where you can sell your unwanted echoes for a specific currency and said NPC allows you to buy other materials (both, echo and non-echo specific) with said currency?
It's definitely a simple concept that they could easily implement! I'd like it more so to be a shop that contains *unlimited* materials, because you'd be getting rewarded passively for the amount of time you've spent! I think it'd be beneficial for both, F2P and Whales, but more so for F2Ps to have even more incentive to roam and gather echoes regardless of their rarity and actual utility!@@cynthiahembree3957
It's either overlooked or they had no time to actually implement it. I mean adding it and setting a very low turnover is one thing, but not adding it just doesn't make sense.
4:51 I'm in opinion lot of substats like this are not an issue cuz it mean we can make more specialized build on char in future. the issue are as usual, coming from RNG, how upgrading and rolling substat work. kuro need to simplify it a lot more. most common suggestion are need lot of better RNG for offensive substats, show the substat we'll get at lvl1 so we dont waste resources on it, substats unlock as we lvl up the echoes and make tuner to TUNING(reroll) substats instead unlock them. also add echo shop to buy any echoes upgrade related item and other stuffs where we can get the currencies from selling/reduce useless echoes that we dont need. 5:11 I think this is not a big issue. some scarcity are needed cuz if everything too easy to get thing will be get boring fast. also dont forget that there will be new regions and echoes in futures so they'll balance out eventually. they can make certain echoes more common in different regions so there a reason to visiting various places. of course it better mentioned it to kuro in case they didnt think that far. last one, I think some ppl issue are coming from how they approach the game, playing with sprint mentality want everything can be maxed fast instead of maraton which common approach of gacha dev because one of their aim are longevity of the game. I hope Kuro can balance this part, give options to players play for long time in healthy manner but not grindy enough to be endless grinds like korean MMOs.
I might be coping but I think Kuro making sold/dismantled unwanted echoes provide a by-product that we can use to buy echo level up and ascension materials plus substat reroll/selector items on a limited amount monthly would solve most problems w/o doing a major overhaul to the echo system. Also they should make Shiny echoes have the option to choose the main stat and set bonuses.
They have a lot of options regarding substats. Rerolling, transferring one or two substats from one echo to the same echo or crafting your own substats and inserting them into your chosen echo. Perhaps limiting it to one or two craftable substats per echo.
I think this is common feeling for every CBT2 player. It could be fixed; it all depends on the Wuwa dev team to decide because they want to maintain "good things doesn't come easy" at the same level as Hoyoverse. But right now, the situation is worse than Hoyoverse as they give hope to people that "yes you can farm echo/relic" but turns out they are like "nah, not gonna give you what you want easily". That's the worst combo as it lifts your hope up and smack it to the ground so hard that you feel shitty about it. I think they can fix this easily. This are my take of approach I would like them to do. 1. The main stats, try to keep the nonsense different element away. That doesn't make sense. It's totally like a prank. you only get 20% drop of echo and more than 50% of the time you get different element stats. It's like "haha got you". (the HP, Def up still acceptable). 2. They have two approaches on the sub-stats, one is to reduce the total number of sub-stats and tighten the range of the stats value or they could allow reroll sub-stats feature with a new currency. (they could make money on this one) 3. the bricked monster, convert to currency either the shell currency or maybe 12cost of gold echo trade in for 1 reroll sub-stats/level up/tuning? I hope they go for reroll, because hunting echo is fun in the beginning, but it will get bored easily if you know what you got is trash and people is gonna stop entirely because there's no reward (other than the shitty RNG roll)

Extra echoes can also be used as reroll materials. So we will be able to recycle them. They can even monetize rerolls by adding premium materials with high chances or even select option. 🤔
It'd be cool if Kuro made some sort of item or items that are bound to specific Monster Echoes, and you have to recycle a certain amount of dupes of that monster to craft this special item. Once crafted from the trash echoes, the item could let you reroll 1 substat of your choice on another Echo of the same type, or, alternatively, give it the double function to Lock 1 substat on the Echo or reroll ALL the substats on the Echo that aren't locked. That way, you could perfect an Echo's substats over time, but the closer you get to perfect, the more times you have to lock 1 or more substats before you full reroll them. As an example, you can just use 1 item to full-reroll once and maybe get 1 or 2 substats you like, then the next time you use 2 items to lock the two substats for the next reroll and then use a 3rd item to reroll the remaining 2 non-locked substats. Large time-investment for farming, but at least it'd feel like you're slowly inching your way towards your optimal min-max for Echoes and Character builds, unlike with Genshin Impact's setup where you literally just have to pray that you get a good substat base roll AND for the stat upgrades to fall on the RIGHT ones that you want upgraded the most. And if you don't, too bad, try again from scratch.

NGL, I was very excited for WuWa. Now I'm cautiously optimistic? The Echo system sounded great at first but now I'm weary of it. This is not the type of grind I'm looking to engage in. Already grew sick of artifact farming in Genshin, and somehow this seems worse? Or am I tripping?
Im still gonna play it anyway, these echo stat and all are bare minimum of minmax, except other layer of qol. Like recycle echo, and scrap echo in bulk. These are mandatory
It's definitely worse. They aren't anything hard to adjust. The rng are numbers that need some adjusting or omitting. Everything else that's not like the brainrot echo deletion are also easy fixes. The nonexistent fodder and recycle features are definitely gonna be there. Does not make sense to not be.
1. Make domains doable in farming echos along with materials, imo farming echos in the overworld should be the alternative option for those who want to go the extra mile in uppgrading their materials. That way, people who have no time to grind echos can stil do it without needing to spend much time in the game. 2. Remove flat stats in the substats. 3. Trash echos can be used to level up echos or used to make a craftable materials that will allow you to reroll substats infinitely. Idk why Kuro is like trying to replicate GI artifact system when they could have just modified PGR's memory system to fit in the echo system.
honestly i think a fix to this is allowing any echo to be material for getting substats and instead of swapping the previous ones u rolled(i heard that u need to roll substats somewhere idk) each substats has a cap and different echos gives a specific substat like the turtle only gives def and hp while something like the blade tailed wolf gives atk and agility u know u actually have to roam around and kill specific monsters for substats but in the its the devs choice change it or not

I still don't get why these devs want to implement artifact RNG. Dailies are there to make you play the game everyday. They should implement a guaranteed way to work on your artifact stats, even if it takes longer than lucking out on artifact RNG. Working towards something and knowing you will eventually get there is way better than just rolling the slot machine without anything being guaranteed. That way people log in to do dailies and get pull currency, and then look forward to upgrade their stats on their characters. Targeted loot will aways be better than pure RNG.
@@mleong75 My point is when you just hand people biz rolls they need to be more expensive for people to not quit due to not having anything to go for. In MMOs we call these "chase items". Echoes are the chase items. If we just hand a biz roll to everyone immediately they won't have anything to work for and play time will go down. It will just turn into people playing for 20 minutes because they have nothing else to do. The issue I have with this is it removes the option to farm

Hey Rex, I think kuro just heard most of the loud voices of the Genshin community where the artifact grinding is limited to resin and tried to come up with the open world echo system as an artifact system to satisfy those loud voices thinking that’s what the whole community want, but reality is that majority of players are there who’re silent and just satisfied with it, I think kuro can fix these by making domains where you can grind echo’s on both domain and open world, domain should based on resin with lower consumption as the limit is 240, 20 for 1 turn is enough, as remove those unnecessary stats from the echos like basic attack damage bonus, heavy attack damage bonus, elemental damage bonus etc, rather they can go for these multiplier in skill tree, where updating the skill give these bonuses, not sure who’s taking these decisions on kuro side, but they sure are taking dumb decisions as the game is close to launch
yeah, elemental damage bonus has the same problem as Genshin, but at least Genshin has 1 free spot for an off piece, this seems to be just like a problem in HSR where you can roll a god piece on substat and main stat but on the wrong set making it useless since u need all 5 to match the same set
Atleast hsr is fast and has auto, in this game you need to run around empty open world and kill easy enemies which makes it not only more time consuming, but also more brain consuming which burns you out faster.

what about a system that lets you Fuse echoes of the same type for a bigger rarity one? lets say 5 purple monkeys make a golden one monkey. You'd still have to deal wirh RNG but a least now they have a use and you have more chances to roll something useful
This system is hella convoluted. I definitely think they tried to make a "breakthrough" and something that wouldn't be compared to other games, but this is so messy. Even genshin with the crappy artifacts RNG system isn't so bad compared to this one. The echoes system has more layers of RNG than Genshin's.
Genshin has more RNG layers, but the range of substats sucks, 7% to 28% is a lot for crit dmg, genshin is like 5.4% to 7.8% so it's not that bad but that's mainly because what WuWa is showing you is what you get and genshin is showing you a base stat, max crit dmg in genshin substat is 46.62% but that's only if you roll crit dmg every time, also when you upgrade a substat it doesn't add the same value but a random one(in this case 5.4% to 7.8%) so it's almost imposible to get the max stat even more if you get 3 base stats instead of 4 because you waste a potential upgrade to a good stat. Tl;dr: WuWa has less RNG layers than genshin but because the range of the substats is that big and what you see is what you get and the fact that you can't even see all the substats from the start, yep it's garbage

Isnt the low/high roll the equivalent of artifact leveling in hoyo games? Where there you level up your artif for levels and it upgrades a specific substat. And here that's the same thing but just re-skinned to tuners that directly display the substat instead of showing you which substat got the upgrade per level like in hoyo games. The only difference is the cost of upgrading which is the separate tuner and upgrade mats. So maybe eliminate 1 of em.

Why do gacha games struggle so much with making gear systems or why are the majority of them straight up ass to grind through and not even worth it in the end..
1. ECHO SUBSTATS: WORSE They should not be mystery. REVEAL ALL OF IT AFTER WE GET THEM INSTEAD UNLOCK EVERY +5 LEVEL. 2. FARM ENERGY/WAVE PLATES Consumption in DOMAIN are too high! 40! TACET is also 60! They should lower it into 20 (domain and tacet) and make x2 consumption with x2 rewards for faster farming in domain. 3. Standard character banner They should make it same like weapon which has selection option. Because, some players will agree to me for collecting Dupes for standard characters instead get random. 4. Jinhsi Buff her boobs into like Yangyang please. Poor her.😂

The system is bad for sure and needs to be streamlined a lot more with its values but nearly every criticism of the echo system so far has come from a 'want' to get better stats rather than a 'need' for it. If its to the point where substats quite literally are the deciding factor between clearing content or not then the system is incredibly bad but if someone can spend 3 hours learning the fights to the point of maximizing their damage and clearing it rather than echo farming for 3 hours to get cucked by rng, just focus on improving on the fight which might have been Kuro's philosophy when designing the system The stamina spent related to echoes issue is something that should definitely change however.
I don't understand the crit range argument? I get that a smaller crit range is desirable instead of 7-28 or 3-14, But doesn't Genshin have the same range? It's hard to call it a problem when it's seen success in another game isn't it? Not trying to defend anything here just trying to understand why that one is a problem
First of all, I don't see it as a valid argument to say just because this other game does it, so should this game. An original IP could have set its own standards. Genshin has seen success sure. But it's not fair to say that its inherent issues should not be considered a problem just because the game is successful, that's not logical. Most people hated the rng and are just putting up with it. I won't delve into this further because it'll take more than a comment reply to explain what I think. Secondly, the subs are not revealed right away. A resource material is needed to open them up to +25 so you will brick echoes easily if you reveal all sub slots. And feeding echoes into another echo is not 1:1 EXP transfer so you are essentially losing EXP each time you want to reroll an echo. The spawn rate and drop rate of Echos compound onto this problem even more.
It is a problem because there is nothing you can do about the range instead of just getting lucky. Yeah Genshin is the same but at least I don’t have to unlock to see what sub stats you got and how much of a range it is. Both systems are not good period but this one is way more grindy.
Also for genshin if i have a crit rate substats, i upgrade the piece, either get crit rolls or not and that should be all. In wuwa if i unlock a 3% crit rate what am I supposed to do? No way to increase it. Have to find another echo with the same main stat, hope to get lucky with the substat and wuwa has way more substats to potential roll into. I can throw a trash artifact in genshin if I see bad substats, with wuwa since i cant see the substats untill after unlock them, making it way more time consuming to find a good echo.
Game looking really underwhelming to me so far. Kuro really cooked with PGR but they seem to have lost a lot in the move to open world. Everyone is sick of seeing Genshin comparisons but it's obvious *why* so many games get compared when they're all jumping on the open world bandwagon. It doesnt matter if your game has the best combat in the world if you're gonna spend most of your time schlepping around a lifeless, uninteresting map. Kuro should have stuck to what they're very very good at - dynamic and interesting combat - instead of diluting it chasing a bandwagon that already left.
Open world live service is a mistake. Kuro on ww is like lost their vision, confuse the game gonna go what way. They already excel at stage based game and action oriented. If only ww like megaman or deadcell type. WW feels like flop later

Tunner should be a material for rerolling substats, not for unlocking them. The more substats you reroll, the higher the consumption.

Static stats do work in any games, it's just how they will adjust it. For now, what i see is they tried so hard to mimic what genshin has with their own style.
IMO, it's actually wild how they downgraded the echo system from cbt1 to cbt2. Hopefully Kuro will find a good balance to address our concerns. Good points Rex.

I could legit never pull gacha again on my account and it'd not depreciate in value since my best-equipped characters kill stuffs so fast they don't even leave room for enemies to even do their "unique" mechanics. It's honestly just a systematic problem when devs use a system like this to keep players engaged, it's a lost whether you get good or bad RNG.

It's times like this I really miss Dragalia Lost. So many potential wyrmprint builds without rng that also allowed the devs to create kits like combo count units or dragon/echo spam + ramping units. So much more freedom and way more interactive depending on the fight. 20 combo = 20% atk, class based crit rate + skill dmg, different punishers, break dmg, overdrive shred, buff + debuff time extenstion, skill haste, etc. that could be adjusted depending on the fight and solo vs co-op builds. I guess Relink players also relate to this style of system since cygames used something similar there.
I know they most likely won't remove the full on rng aspect of the stats unfortunately, but bottom line I really hope they find multiple ways to make the gearing + stat side of the system more approachable and intuitive for all players while actually being able to obtain proper builds.
Kuro has the potential to make so many cool units too I don't want to be stuck on 1 unit out of 3+ teams for months because rng is garbage so we can only hope some hotfixes are made by launch.
Funny thing is not just echoes, I feel like if they had just twisted systems from pgr to work with WuWa's scope the baseline for even simple things like leveling characters + skills would feel better too. 🤣

I usually hate these styles of rng systems because even though they're meant to keep players working for something it's extremely restrictive and boring for building. Just replace atk with hp, def, regen, em, etc. to increase the grind for the same effective build for a "different" unit. In general players spend so much time for one set on 1 unit even the most dedicated players I see just leave that same build on forever instead of switching things up. Which is probably why most games with this style of system lack gear presets because they know most people just sit on the same build. Even in pgr at least I can change up 2 pc sets, use 2/2/2 builds on amps, or dv on tanks, depending on ppc, wz, norman, etc.
Also why flat stats in an open world again? Movement speed, combo time, gadget or echo cooldown, echo damage, break dmg, stagger dmg, buff + debuff time extension, etc. If they're gonna throw in more "useless" stats to increase the grind I really wish devs would at least make the stats seem more interactive with the game or environment for utility sadly I don't see a gacha doing this anytime soon.

the bird having other dmg bonus main stat is like genshin's artifact goblet piece. I still remember in the early days where I get a hydro dmg goblet on a fire dmg-specialized artifact set.
One thing about genshin tho is that since there are 5 artifact slots, you can use one slot as an off-piece and still have the other 4 slots for the 4-set effect. Still a pain-in-the-ass grind tho.

I just think people are blowing it out of proportion by saying it needs a rework when 90% of the issue is the stat pool and numbers issues. The matter of XP can be solved with an already existing system. Just let people deconstruct echoes into a material that can be used to synthesize XP. Also Tacet fields need to be able to let people pick and choose the echoes because of how expensive they are to claim. Most of it's probably an oversight or just simply a mistake that needs to be reevaluated
Why don't they make an NPC (shop) where you can sell your unwanted echoes for a specific currency and said NPC allows you to buy other materials (both, echo and non-echo specific) with said currency?
I came up with a similar idea and this should be considered. Weather it's a shop or just through the Synthesis system

I'd like it more so to be a shop that contains *unlimited* materials, because you'd be getting rewarded passively for the amount of time you've spent! It's either overlooked or they had no time to actually implement it. I mean adding it and setting a very low turnover is one thing, but not adding it just doesn't make sense.
4:51 I'm in opinion lot of substats like this are not an issue cuz it mean we can make more specialized build on char in future. the issue are as usual, coming from RNG, how upgrading and rolling substat work. kuro need to simplify it a lot more.
most common suggestion are need lot of better RNG for offensive substats, show the substat we'll get at lvl1 so we dont waste resources on it, substats unlock as we lvl up the echoes and make tuner to TUNING(reroll) substats instead unlock them. also add echo shop to buy any echoes upgrade related item and other stuffs where we can get the currencies from selling/reduce useless echoes that we dont need.
5:11 I think this is not a big issue. some scarcity are needed cuz if everything too easy to get thing will be get boring fast. also dont forget that there will be new regions and echoes in futures so they'll balance out eventually. they can make certain echoes more common in different regions so there a reason to visiting various places. of course it better mentioned it to kuro in case they didnt think that far.
last one, I think some ppl issue are coming from how they approach the game, playing with sprint mentality want everything can be maxed fast instead of maraton which common approach of gacha dev because one of their aim are longevity of the game. I hope Kuro can balance this part, give options to players play for long time in healthy manner but not grindy enough to be endless grinds like korean MMOs.

I might be coping but I think Kuro making sold/dismantled unwanted echoes provide a by-product that we can use to buy echo level up and ascension materials plus substat reroll/selector items on a limited amount monthly would solve most problems w/o doing a major overhaul to the echo system. Also they should make Shiny echoes have the option to choose the main stat and set bonuses.

They have a lot of options regarding substats. Rerolling, transferring one or two substats from one echo to the same echo or crafting your own substats and inserting them into your chosen echo. Perhaps limiting it to one or two craftable substats per echo.
This system remind me of persona skill transfer. You choose any 3 skills you want and use it as a fodder for ultimate persona
I think this is common feeling for every CBT2 player. It could be fixed; it all depends on the Wuwa dev team to decide because they want to maintain "good things doesn't come easy" at the same level as Hoyoverse. But right now, the situation is worse than Hoyoverse as they give hope to people that "yes you can farm echo/relic" but turns out they are like "nah, not gonna give you what you want easily". That's the worst combo as it lifts your hope up and smack it to the ground so hard that you feel shitty about it. I think they can fix this easily. This are my take of approach I would like them to do.
1. The main stats, try to keep the nonsense different element away. That doesn't make sense. It's totally like a prank. you only get 20% drop of echo and more than 50% of the time you get different element stats. It's like "haha got you". (the HP, Def up still acceptable).
2. They have two approaches on the sub-stats, one is to reduce the total number of sub-stats and tighten the range of the stats value or they could allow reroll sub-stats feature with a new currency. (they could make money on this one)
3. the bricked monster, convert to currency either the shell currency or maybe 12cost of gold echo trade in for 1 reroll sub-stats/level up/tuning? I hope they go for reroll, because hunting echo is fun in the beginning, but it will get bored easily if you know what you got is trash and people is gonna stop entirely because there's no reward (other than the shitty RNG roll)

Extra echoes can also be used as reroll materials. So we will be able to recycle them.
They can even monetize rerolls by adding premium materials with high chances or even select option. 🤔
It'd be cool if Kuro made some sort of item or items that are bound to specific Monster Echoes, and you have to recycle a certain amount of dupes of that monster to craft this special item. Once crafted from the trash echoes, the item could let you reroll 1 substat of your choice on another Echo of the same type, or, alternatively, give it the double function to Lock 1 substat on the Echo or reroll ALL the substats on the Echo that aren't locked. That way, you could perfect an Echo's substats over time, but the closer you get to perfect, the more times you have to lock 1 or more substats before you full reroll them. As an example, you can just use 1 item to full-reroll once and maybe get 1 or 2 substats you like, then the next time you use 2 items to lock the two substats for the next reroll and then use a 3rd item to reroll the remaining 2 non-locked substats. Large time-investment for farming, but at least it'd feel like you're slowly inching your way towards your optimal min-max for Echoes and Character builds, unlike with Genshin Impact's setup where you literally just have to pray that you get a good substat base roll AND for the stat upgrades to fall on the RIGHT ones that you want upgraded the most. And if you don't, too bad, try again from scratch.

NGL, I was very excited for WuWa. Now I'm cautiously optimistic? The Echo system sounded great at first but now I'm weary of it. This is not the type of grind I'm looking to engage in. Already grew sick of artifact farming in Genshin, and somehow this seems worse? Or am I tripping?
Im still gonna play it anyway, these echo stat and all are bare minimum of minmax, except other layer of qol. Like recycle echo, and scrap echo in bulk. These are mandatory
It's definitely worse. They aren't anything hard to adjust. The rng are numbers that need some adjusting or omitting. Everything else that's not like the brainrot echo deletion are also easy fixes. The nonexistent fodder and recycle features are definitely gonna be there. Does not make sense to not be.
I think the element damage bonus part is so bad is because theres no off piece, if there were, it wouldn't have been such a choking thing to farm
1. Make domains doable in farming echos along with materials, imo farming echos in the overworld should be the alternative option for those who want to go the extra mile in uppgrading their materials. That way, people who have no time to grind echos can stil do it without needing to spend much time in the game.
2. Remove flat stats in the substats.
3. Trash echos can be used to level up echos or used to make a craftable materials that will allow you to reroll substats infinitely.
Idk why Kuro is like trying to replicate GI artifact system when they could have just modified PGR's memory system to fit in the echo system.

honestly i think a fix to this is allowing any echo to be material for getting substats and instead of swapping the previous ones u rolled(i heard that u need to roll substats somewhere idk) each substats has a cap and different echos gives a specific substat like the turtle only gives def and hp while something like the blade tailed wolf gives atk and agility u know u actually have to roam around and kill specific monsters for substats but in the its the devs choice change it or not

I still don't get why these devs want to implement artifact RNG.
Dailies are there to make you play the game everyday. They should implement a guaranteed way to work on your artifact stats, even if it takes longer than lucking out on artifact RNG. Working towards something and knowing you will eventually get there is way better than just rolling the slot machine without anything being guaranteed.
That way people log in to do dailies and get pull currency, and then look forward to upgrade their stats on their characters.
Targeted loot will aways be better than pure RNG.
Because if they did this you wouldn't need to play everyday.

Echoes are the chase items. If we just hand a biz roll to everyone immediately they won't have anything to work for and play time will go down. It will just turn into people playing for 20 minutes because they have nothing else to do. The issue I have with this is it removes the option to farm

Hey Rex, I think kuro just heard most of the loud voices of the Genshin community where the artifact grinding is limited to resin and tried to come up with the open world echo system as an artifact system to satisfy those loud voices thinking that’s what the whole community want, but reality is that majority of players are there who’re silent and just satisfied with it, I think kuro can fix these by making domains where you can grind echo’s on both domain and open world, domain should based on resin with lower consumption as the limit is 240, 20 for 1 turn is enough, as remove those unnecessary stats from the echos like basic attack damage bonus, heavy attack damage bonus, elemental damage bonus etc, rather they can go for these multiplier in skill tree, where updating the skill give these bonuses, not sure who’s taking these decisions on kuro side, but they sure are taking dumb decisions as the game is close to launch

yeah, elemental damage bonus has the same problem as Genshin, but at least Genshin has 1 free spot for an off piece, this seems to be just like a problem in HSR where you can roll a god piece on substat and main stat but on the wrong set making it useless since u need all 5 to match the same set
Atleast hsr is fast and has auto, in this game you need to run around empty open world and kill easy enemies which makes it not only more time consuming, but also more brain consuming which burns you out faster.

what about a system that lets you Fuse echoes of the same type for a bigger rarity one? lets say 5 purple monkeys make a golden one monkey. You'd still have to deal wirh RNG but a least now they have a use and you have more chances to roll something useful

This system is hella convoluted. I definitely think they tried to make a "breakthrough" and something that wouldn't be compared to other games, but this is so messy. Even genshin with the crappy artifacts RNG system isn't so bad compared to this one. The echoes system has more layers of RNG than Genshin's.
Genshin has more RNG layers, but the range of substats sucks, 7% to 28% is a lot for crit dmg, genshin is like 5.4% to 7.8% so it's not that bad but that's mainly because what WuWa is showing you is what you get and genshin is showing you a base stat, max crit dmg in genshin substat is 46.62% but that's only if you roll crit dmg every time, also when you upgrade a substat it doesn't add the same value but a random one(in this case 5.4% to 7.8%) so it's almost imposible to get the max stat even more if you get 3 base stats instead of 4 because you waste a potential upgrade to a good stat.
Tl;dr: WuWa has less RNG layers than genshin but because the range of the substats is that big and what you see is what you get and the fact that you can't even see all the substats from the start, yep it's garbage

Where there you level up your artif for levels and it upgrades a specific substat. And here that's the same thing but just re-skinned to tuners that directly display the substat instead of showing you which substat got the upgrade per level like in hoyo games.
The only difference is the cost of upgrading which is the separate tuner and upgrade mats. So maybe eliminate 1 of em.

Why do gacha games struggle so much with making gear systems or why are the majority of them straight up ass to grind through and not even worth it in the end..
1. ECHO SUBSTATS: WORSE
They should not be mystery. REVEAL ALL OF IT AFTER WE GET THEM INSTEAD UNLOCK EVERY +5 LEVEL.
2. FARM ENERGY/WAVE PLATES
Consumption in DOMAIN are too high! 40! TACET is also 60!
They should lower it into 20 (domain and tacet) and make x2 consumption with x2 rewards for faster farming in domain.
3. Standard character banner
They should make it same like weapon which has selection option. Because, some players will agree to me for collecting Dupes for standard characters instead get random.

The system is bad for sure and needs to be streamlined a lot more with its values but nearly every criticism of the echo system so far has come from a 'want' to get better stats rather than a 'need' for it. If its to the point where substats quite literally are the deciding factor between clearing content or not then the system is incredibly bad but if someone can spend 3 hours learning the fights to the point of maximizing their damage and clearing it rather than echo farming for 3 hours to get cucked by rng, just focus on improving on the fight which might have been Kuro's philosophy when designing the system
The stamina spent related to echoes issue is something that should definitely change however.

First of all, I don't see it as a valid argument to say just because this other game does it, so should this game. An original IP could have set its own standards. Genshin has seen success sure. But it's not fair to say that its inherent issues should not be considered a problem just because the game is successful, that's not logical. Most people hated the rng and are just putting up with it.
I won't delve into this further because it'll take more than a comment reply to explain what I think.
Secondly, the subs are not revealed right away. A resource material is needed to open them up to +25 so you will brick echoes easily if you reveal all sub slots. And feeding echoes into another echo is not 1:1 EXP transfer so you are essentially losing EXP each time you want to reroll an echo. The spawn rate and drop rate of Echos compound onto this problem even more.
It is a problem because there is nothing you can do about the range instead of just getting lucky. Yeah Genshin is the same but at least I don’t have to unlock to see what sub stats you got and how much of a range it is. Both systems are not good period but this one is way more grindy.
Also for genshin if i have a crit rate substats, i upgrade the piece, either get crit rolls or not and that should be all. In wuwa if i unlock a 3% crit rate what am I supposed to do? No way to increase it. Have to find another echo with the same main stat, hope to get lucky with the substat and wuwa has way more substats to potential roll into. I can throw a trash artifact in genshin if I see bad substats, with wuwa since i cant see the substats untill after unlock them, making it way more time consuming to find a good echo.
honestly this and genshin's RNG stats is really baffling to me. both competitive nature and solo games this type of rng is nothing but a time waster.

Game looking really underwhelming to me so far. Kuro really cooked with PGR but they seem to have lost a lot in the move to open world.
Everyone is sick of seeing Genshin comparisons but it's obvious *why* so many games get compared when they're all jumping on the open world bandwagon. It doesnt matter if your game has the best combat in the world if you're gonna spend most of your time schlepping around a lifeless, uninteresting map. Kuro should have stuck to what they're very very good at - dynamic and interesting combat - instead of diluting it chasing a bandwagon that already left.
Open world live service is a mistake. Kuro on ww is like lost their vision, confuse the game gonna go what way.
They already excel at stage based game and action oriented. If only ww like megaman or deadcell type.

Wdym. Everyone will have to do it eventually or else no gear. The act of running around and killing mobs is already way more effort than Genshin with its resin system and getting artifacts right away.
