We are not competing with other cities around the world. This is how we celebrate our New Year. Who cares about New York, London , Bangkok or Paris on how they celebrate their own.

Im filipino, and I watched all the New Year celebrations from other parts of the world. I loved New Year's Eve in the Philippines. Expatriates from other parts of Asian neighbours always crucified the Philippines about poverty and other degrading comments on how we lived. I don't care about Bang cock , Inonesyia, Vietcungcat- cuk. Even if you paid me to go to these places, never , never I'll go. I'm happy to spend my money here in the Philippines.
You've written it well! You captured the message at the end. "Embrace the chaos and find the beauty in the unexpected". A lot of Filipinos approach life this way; resilience, adaptability in every chaos.
This is not just in Metro Manila, though. This can be seen throughout the Philippines every New Year. Except however for Davao City which is very strict when it comes to fireworks. Search for other Philippines Cities and you'll see the same thing.

Philippines welcomes each new year with long , loud, massive fireworks- to end and start each year, always thankful for the past year and hopeful for the coming year.
Philippines nye celebration is non comparable with other countries...its a tradition since time immemorial and we are unique and for me no other countries come close when it comes to celebrating new year!
The world sees this just now because of social media platforms such youtube. But we've been doing this for such a long time. I grew up in this kind of new year celebration.
Christmas celebration to NYE, is the holidays celebrated by the whole nation, rich or poor alike in the PH. They all save year-round money to prepare and buy expensive firecrackers for a memorable "moment" with their families and loved ones for that very night. Xmas over there are started to be celebrated at the beginning of September all the way to January 3 or "3Kings". To foreign tourists come and visit us this year of 2025 with your loved ones so you will experience it yourself.....there is so much fun in the ph
That is Our Culture 🇵🇭💪 is a Tradition welcoming our New Year not only Manila or Major City all Nation Celebrate like That Is not Complete without Fire Work in a Midnight dinner with Family neborn Friends we Really Loud 🔊🔊🔊 to Welcoming The NEw Year.. that is Happen even Spanish came to our Country 🇵🇭 Celebrate like that ❤❤❤❤ Full of Joy Positive think for coming Years ❤❤❤❤🙏💪🇵🇭🥳🥂💯🎇🎊🎉
The difference with Manila, Philippines and other countries on celebrating NYE is that other countries do it for looks. Philippines is simply reveling....a celebration in its truest form.
Bopols, league's away ibig Sabihin Ang layong iniwan ng mga well developed na ciudad tulad ng Sidney, London, New York, Dubai, singapore, Shanghai sa grandeur at spectacle ng new years fireworks show Ang metro manila.
As a child, we used to think firework displays overseas are waaaay better and more spectacular. Geez I was wrong. They're actually well choreographed and the ones shown on TV are just the good angles. 😅 I have a love-hate view of this tradition but I gotta say there's no NY celebration as spectacular and beautifully chaotic as our warzone-like NYE!
Thank you, ROCKWELL, for bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of the Filipino people. Your lighting to building structures all over is just fantastic, ... simply OMG =) ...and most foreigners notice and adore it too. The fireworks are just spectacular; your lighting of the buildings has become your landmark, your symbol, just like the mystical Biringan City in Samar LOL. I am sure that others will copy you here and abroad, especially the Christian nations all over. I hope you make this grand celebration a continuing way to celebrate our Lord Jesus' birth here on earth and the welcoming of the prosperous New Year. It's so touching, especially for us, the 12 million overseas Filipino workers; we love you, and may our Lord Jesus continue to bless your businesses that will ultimately contribute to the country's economic growth and for everyone, rich and poor alike, Mabuhay!!!! There is so much fun in the Philippines!!!!!
Entire philippines on fire every new year eve. London , new york, hk etc. is nothing compared not even close cause every city, towns streets fire crackers everywhere the worlds best/ amazing.
There's literally several big cities in the same time zone as Metro Manila such as Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Perth. That's why when it comes to coverage of New Year fireworks by international news organizations, Manila is seldom featured. Thanks to vloggers, it gets its share of fame.
Every Filipino household has to have fireworks/firecrackers as it is believed to celebrate the new life like you have reached another new year and also a belief to shove away evil and bad spirits and negative energy by loud noises🎉❤
This was one view. This view does not describe it at all. I’ve seen the ones in the sky where you see the lights all throughout the islands. Even the 360 views are crazy
Happy New Year 2025🌲🎉Thanks for appreciating how we Filipinos Celebrate New Year... It's been like this since the past years Fireworks you can see lit up the sky maybe a minute before midnight and past 12 am😍 for us Filipinos the Louder the better you can hear Torotot, Car buzzling, Loud Speaker, Countdown Party🥳🎉 anything that can make noise the better. CHRISTMAS and NEW YEAR is All About "FAMILY", people go to Church first🙏 then you can see many food serve at the table when clock strike 12 midnight Family eat together and most Filipinos are awake till morning👍
Sorry but there is choreograph fireworks display in metro manila. Sorry there are choreograph fireworks display. While other major city has one and only fireworks display to welcome the new year, metro manila has at least 10 choreograph grand fireworks display. To name a few, mall of asia, luneta, the malacanang palace, BGC, makati, city govt of manila etc etc. Then every street and alleys will have their own fireworks display. As the fireworks dies off, then the all night street parties begins. Tables, food, booze and karaoke can be found in almost any streets and alleys. Any one can participate dancing, singing, eating and drinking till wee morning,

@deancafe4739 Bopol, they're just in one small area compared to Metro Manila World War vibes. Are you addict? 😊
@@deancafe4739 if you believe that they are "leagues away", you must be leagues away m*Ron. 😊

This the tradition in philippines not only in manila also in every province

Great point here 👍 And international news agencies typically just choose one or two representative cities per timezone.
The International Space Station should pass by the Philippines on New Year's Eve for astronauts to see how the whole country sparkles.
That would be fantastic!
This is an organized chaos at its next level. Other countries are quite boring because its very organized.
There is beauty in chaos and this NYE celebration is a good example 🔥
Not only in Metro Manila. This is how it looks like all over the Philippines.
Every Filipino household has to have fireworks/firecrackers as it is believed to celebrate the new life like you have reached another new year and also a belief to shove away evil and bad spirits and negative energy by loud noises🎉❤
This is us. We enjoy ourselves, not for show.
Exactly the way it should be! 👍
LEAGUES AWAY??? LMAO PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 NEW YEAR NO CONPARISON

"Leagues away", we don't even give a f*ck about other countries. We just enjoy being chaotic😂
+100!
Its tame compared to the 90s. Its way bigger before. At ground level its like a warzone. Complete with casualties lol
True - and back then, the Department of Health even had countdowns of firework-related casualties
this is already toned down maybe by half 90s and early 2000 is a lot crazier. today, more people are getting less and less buying fireworks
TOTAL INSANE 😱😱😱
The difference is culture.
Western New year = Celebration
Philippines New year = To remove bad luck, bad spirits
That's why every household in the Philippines light fireworks
👏👏👏🥳
Been doing this since time immemorial
Who cares if the manila new year celebration is not like that of New York London or Bangkok. Big deal, this is how we celebrate our new years
Yes Manila has it's own distinct way of celebrating! 🎉
I remember war in Iraq saw in videos looklike this 💥🥺
You should put photo as your identity in youtube
