      I’m glad you liked that. It helps to lock in the fibers better and I think it looks better too! I’ll be posting more tricks like that and more specific techniques in future videos now that I finished these videos.

    Thank you for making these videos Cael. I am interested in finishing rims when the material is not waxed and will not stick to itself or its neighbour.

      Hi Ralph! When the fibers are slick the rims are more difficult. Like that wire bowl I sold at Haystack, remember that? It was so slick. So difficult to twine at all. Basically for that type of material, rims for reed baskets or willow baskets work better. Rims where the spokes weave in and out more than these simple ones I showed. Sometimes I use those types of rims for the waxed fiber too, I plan to show some in future videos.
