I finally read When No One Is Watching and LOVED IT. I’m so mad I waited so long. 😭 I own The Wife Before too, but haven’t read it. I really liked The Perfect Ruin, so I think it’ll be a good one! 🥰
I feel like it makes sense that you like When No One is Watching too because I know you love White Smoke and I feel like there’s a few similarities between the two! But please read The Wife Before it’s so entertaining and fast-paced! I need to pick up The Perfect Ruin and more of her books because she ate The Wife Before lol
I have so much Toni Morrison on my TBR and need to get through those, too 🤦🏾♀️ also I’ve been contemplating reading Legendborn but I’m not a huge fantasy reader so I’ve been hesitant. I might try to pick it up one day though!
I LOVE , LOVE When No One Is Watching. It was such an original idea and a truly terrifying premise. 8:46 and exactly! I thought I was the only one who felt that way
Agreed!! It’s definitely different than what we’re used to seeing in the Thriller genre IMO. I also liked that it was a slow-burn. Made it more ominous and creepy! And not at all! I really hope we get more books like that in the mainstream, because it’s so needed!!
I read nightcrawling last April for sexual assault awareness month it was good i know this is a weird question are you planning on reading books for sexual assault awareness month
Not a weird question at all! But I don’t typically seek out books that have those themes just because it can be very intense/a lot for me to get through, but I still want to read Know My Name by Chanel Miller so I think I’ll include that one in my reading plans. If you have any other recs, though let me know!
@@tayahs.turningpages yes I do have a few recommendations Any man by amber tamblyn I really was surprised how good the book is Totally worth a read Hunger by Roxanne gay Scars by cheryl rainfield I have the right to by chessy prout memoir I read know my name a few years ago I really was inspired after reading it

The Wife Before was so good!!! Did you read her other books? I have The Other Mistress and The Perfect Ruin on my tbr
also adding Nightcrawling to my tbr too. I’ve seen a few other Booktubers talk about it and it sounds interesting but sad
I haven’t! I’ve been meaning to get around to the rest of her books. So many books, so little time 😭 and as you should! Lol. I hope you enjoy it.
This is my sign to pickup some Beverly Jenkins
I literally have your most recent video playing right now 😭 but girl, YES! Her books are so good. I need everyone reading them lmao
