I’m just now starting to learn gesture drawing and figure drawing as a young artist and this was so helpful and my poses look so fluid! They’re not perfect but this will definitely change my art journey for the better! Thank you for sharing
My poor art teacher used to get so frustrated with me, because my tendency was to add detail right from the start of the drawing. I'd spend too much time on one small part, then bin the whole drawing if I messed up - usually with proportions. Such a waste of time and effort. I completely understand him now :)
Ha! thanks Steve, this is a great reflection - it's always tempting to dive into the details at the very beginning - I do it all the time with the face, and that is definitely the one thing that will mess up a drawing. But, using a timer is really useful, if you just practice 1 and 2 minute drawings with a timer you can get really good at capturing the overall pose in a quick gesture and then work into it over a longer time frame. tHanks so much for watching, really appreciate it! :)
Thanks for this comment, I wish that too! It's such a key component of the process. Hope you can explore it in your drawing. Let me know if you have questions!
The tip from your skillshare to start *light* and get darker has been really helpful for me, thank you!
You made that minute seem so long it goes by in like a second for me 😂
Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world!
Thanks you, that's so kind ❤
Oh, I get it I'm honestly not good at drawing continuous line art like this. You make it look so easy. Thank you!
It's just practice, you'll get really good at it over time! Promise 😊❤

My art instructor knows how to draw like this. I draw outside of the body but needs to learn how to draw like my art instructor.❤️
