I missed this when it first aired, but I did see adverts for it at the time and thought I'd never listen to the likes of CoF or Manson, but only about a year later, in the latter half of 1999 I'd bought Cruelty and the Beast and loved it. It's still one of my favourite albums of theirs, and CoF was the first major band I saw live back in 2000 in the Midian tour. The two women here seem very closed minded, and I'd love to have seen a "20 years later" follow up.
I took my daughter to see Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson when she was 9 and she’s turned out great. We still go gigs together now…we’ve seen Saxon, WASP, Uriah Heep to name but a few in the past couple of years…Maiden in June!

Media being filled with pictures and stories of the church fires, the murders and all that shit that happened in Norway. The Christian communities in Europe were all over metal bands in the same way they were all over Dungeons and Dragons in the 1980s. So yeah, easy to go "CoF are icons.. wtf." when one forgets to put the year of this docu into the equation.
Back when Anathema were a heavy band. In a parallel universe Anathema stay heavy over the decades, and COF evolve into a melancholic pink floyd-ish post rock prog band instead.
I believe he helped write/produce it. If you watch an anathema live dvd which would be from before Les was in Cof he's playing for Anathema and plays parts of Eternity long before it was released

Cradle of filth sit in my sentimental beautiful memories of youth like Hans Christian Andersen or Sooty, sweep & sue.
