Unusual live footage of Beneath The Howling Stars with no Sarah on backing vocals, that's odd. Also, how not to forget the aesthetic of the band in the late 90s. Dani with his devastating screams, Stuart and Gian shredding hard, Robin killing on bass, Nick smashing the hell out of the drums and Les dressed as a freaking priest playing the keys.
The lore of the Cruelty record is quite amazing with the whole history of Elizabeth Bathory and vampirism, plus I think it's similar (lore-wise) with 2008's Godspeed (based on Joan Arc) and 2010's Darkly Darkly (based on the demon Lilith).
On the flip side, too bad that Robin completely banished from the music scene. He seemed like a cool bloke.

Wow. I remember one of my friends who had a satellite dish taped this on VCR and I went to his place to watch it, and I'm pretty sure that my copy of "Cruelty" was in the mail right then, ordered it before hearing any of it and wasn't disappointed. Those were the days.
Robin is still one of my all-time favorite bass players, so many iconic parts...
Also, this was the first time I've seen the "Mother North" video. :-)

Nothing like 90s Cradle… perfect decade to be into this band, and this album specially, their first and best concept album, everything from the musical arrangements to the lyrics and overall aesthetic, just by reading the lyrics and hearing Dani give some backstory on here you can tell how well researched it was too. Nick’s BTHS intro blasts live are always eargasmic, Rob needs to shut the hell up every now and then, though.
Love the Prince of Darkness OST playing throughout the interview. Favorite JC film.

Robin has lots to say. Not their first interview where dani answers and speaks the most.
