I yelled very loudly to my husband from across our house “RACHEL DYED HER HAIR” and he came running having thought I yelled “Rachel DIED” Glad you’re alive and your hair looks great :)
She tends to post very late UK time, so I’ll be in bed next to him and he’ll be watching something and he ends up interesting as it’s all creative and he loves LOTR etc.
@@oaklynrehns my husband leaves the room with most of my content but he finds Rachel delightful! He will also stay for Thrifters Anonymous cause they are hilarious.
@@oaklynrehns I'm a man and I've been watching her content for... many years now. The old fashioned tailoring stuff & hobbit costumes are really cool and then I just got taken along for the ride with the rest of it. If he likes tweed or tailoring I'd recommend starting with a video where her waistcoat collection or vintage pants/jackets make an appearance. Her home decor and crafts are also a good starting point, but again I really like vintage decor and fantasy games/books, so. Ymmv. The swishy dresses are rad & I appreciate the art she puts into it, but they don't hold my attention as well 🤷♂️ So I wouldn't start with those
Rachel can reveal anything and it’s amazing. Girl. We love a hair reveal. Thank you for being consistent and being yourself. The world is harder and you make it easier to deal with. So thank you.
As a natural redhead, I’m SO sick of ppl feeling they can dictate to me or guilt trip me to ‘NeVeR tOuCH’ my hair🙄🙄 Ugh. So…I cut it off and dyed it blue. Do what YOU want! It’s your hair!!
Yo same!! My hair was bright red and long but I was sick and tired of others dictating what I could do to my hair so I dyed my hair blue, let it fade, dyed it pink, let that fade and then shaved it all off and now have a frizzy bob, it's great!
Rachel: I can do so many cosplays without having to deal with a wig Me: _excitedly whispers_ Arwen cosplay? Sarah Williams from Labyrinth? Susan Pevensie from Narnia?
As a natural redhead with 30 years of random people stopping me all the time to ask about it, telling me that they will stop talking about my hair if I go dark is vvveeeeerry tempting (also it looks awesome on you!)
I'm also a natural red and went dark. I felt SO powerful. However, going back to my natural red was an absolute nightmare. Def recommend not using permanent color but it was so fun while I had it.
Homie, same. I did go dark once, but it looked bad, like I was sick all the time, and it was very hard to remove. But yes, the comments get old. My “favorite” is when people tell you about other people they know with red hair…”oh, my brother’s wife has hair just the same red as yours!”……okay, that’s nice.
As a redhead i’ve had the weirdest interactions w/ strangers making me pinky promise not to dye my hair…You do you Rachel. Hair is hair it grows back 🤷♀️
I get that with my blonde hair. “People pay hundreds of dollars to get your colour” “but its looks so niiiiiiice” and my personal favourite “it’ll never grown back the same, ya know” were the soundtrack to my teenage years
@@qwinlyn I’m just a plain brunette and yet my mom will always say the same thing, tho I guess the reason blondes and gingers are so sought after for keeping it natural because they are harder to replicate properly with dye? Idk just a theory
Oh my gosh yes! I would get so frustrated with people. And when I did dye my hair then instead of "Oh, I like that, I see why you would try it!" like people normally say to people experimenting with their hair, I would get "Oh no, what did you do?!" and have to justify my $12 temporary hair color.
@@qwinlyn THIS ONE!!! I have naturally blonde hair and I've gotten that my whole life! I recently dyed it red (I was Daphne from scooby doo and I wanted to go all the way for it) and guess what? My roots look exactly the same color blonde as it was before

As a natural red head who has never dyed their hair because "red heads shouldn't dye their hair".... I'm gonna do it too now. This was all the motivation I needed, you look great!!!
Just do it! I've dyed mine all sorts of colors. It was also fun to do ombre from my natural red at root down to another color...have done that with red, pink, orange, and purple. Ppl did lose their minds over it at first lol... I just decided it's not fair other ppl can dye theirs and everyone praises them... why cant a redhead too? Its dumb! It's just hair!
@@nataliemoran1863 My family had a weird opposite reaction. My mom used to make me wash my hair everyday and it was poofy & frizzy af and awful so I had to straighten it 😬 but in my early 20s I stopped washing it all the time and then boom it was suddenly curly. I'm honestly mad I had to wake up so early to straighten my hair before school
I’m so excited for you, that’s great!!! Dying your hair can be such a fun experience and no one should feel pressured to not have that experience just because of what their natural hair color is :) I hope you love how it turns out
Rachel when you took your hair down I literally went, "Ugh, beautiful!" like a New Jersey mom. I am so glad you took the dive because I want to do the same but opposite, brunette to red!
Go for it, a wash in wash out one will fade quickly if you want to try it without a permanent commitment. I'm naturally chestnut brown and I went red when I was at college, a red that is more reddish brown worked better on me than one that is more orange toned. I thought there was a little hint of Audrey Tautuo as Amelie when Rachel was applying her eyeliner.
I love Mr. Darcy Rachel! Also, this hair pairs perfectly with your flowing pirate-style tops. I can't wait to see what you make to go with your beautiful new brunette locks!
Your red hair looks amazing, and the brown does, too. It just looks different, and sometimes that is just what a girl needs! I feel like you could do a truly sensational Peggy Carter cosplay! That would be awesome!!
At first I was shocked. Then I was like "good for Rachel!" Never feel like you owe anybody a specific hair color or an announcement. Also yes ✨Mr. Darcy✨ era
Honestly, the brown is super cute. Especially since you can see some of the red peeking through in certain light. I can't wait to see the other colors you'll get out of this plan. Hella Evie vibes right now.
As a natural red head, I have always gotten pressured to never dye my hair. But I have always wondered what it would be like to have dark hair. So I hope you don't mind me living vicariously through you ❤️
My mom is a natural redhead. Life’s too short to let others dictate what you should do with your own hair. That said…. i do have redhairenvy 😅 But I understand wanting a change. Been considering a color myself as my grey is starting to move in like an uninvited roommate
@@Pondue_At_Large I kind of disagree w this I bought a black wig several years ago and I hated it but when I dyed my hair black I LOVED it I think cut and how the hair falls really matters
@@byrnetdown6076 Yeah, I had the same experience, but opposite. I have a cute black wig, makes me look like snowhite. But one time I died my hair almost black… omg, it was not good.
@@byrnetdown6076 I think a wig is probably good enough to demonstrate whether you like the color against your complexion, whether it washes you out, whether it brings out your eyes .. but I agree sometimes you can dislike a style so much, that it distracts you from seeing those other things.
"that's silly and as long as i like it, that's all that matters." you're absolutely right! i also have my hair dyed (bleached so i can do bright colors) and i recently did a color combo that my hairdresser didn't really like, which she said when we were finishing up and i said, "well i like it!" it didn't matter to me that she didn't like it. you do you and you do what you like! i think the dark hair looks great on you! gives me classy pinup girl vibes!
Too many hairdressers feel it's their job to express opinions / aesthetic judgments - I disagree with that stance. They're there to use their skills to create what YOU want for and on yourself!
Weird for a hairdresser to tell a cliebt that she doesn't like what she just did for you 1) to your face 2) because you're pating her to do it 3) and it ain't none of her business, literally and figuratively. Tact is a major customer service tool, and should be a rule as well, if you're a wise business person, especially in the esthetic realm.
The great thing about hair is IT'S JUST HAIR! It grows out! It grows back! Color it! Curl it! Cut it! Grow it! Straighten it! Crimp it! Make it weird! Put a wig on it! Have fun! It's yours! Your hair looks great, and I'm glad you are not letting yourself be bound by what other people might think of it. Honestly kind of goth goals? It already has just a tinge of red to it, which is gorgeous. Would love to see some spooky looks with that hair. I know it's not Halloween for another four months or so, but y'know. ;)
You say that, but my hair seems to grow painfully slowly xD my current long hair is the work of many many years 😅 I sometimes have the urge to chop it all off but then the decade it would probably take me to get it back stops me in my tracks.
You looked “strange” until you curled your hair. The whole montage just proved that when it comes to your hair, the style to me is what makes it feel Maksy TM and not the colour. You look awesome! I just went back to blue myself so I respect the “can’t control my life so I control my hair” struggle
As a natural redhead I totally feel you on the constant "Is that your real hair color?" questions. I also get the unsolicited "I hope you never dye it!!" comments from hair dressers all the time. I got crap for just trying to bleach the ends of my hair once (and it didn't even work lol). I've never felt brave enough to try to dye my hair because of all of that. This color looks great on you and good for you for experimenting and having fun with YOUR hair! Keep being you
✋🏻 i’m a natural ginger too! i always get comment on how pretty my hair is and have gotten my fair share of “don’t dye it!!” comments too. ugh, i’m sorry you got crap for even just bleaching the ends of your hair :/ it’s your hair!! i coloured the ends of my hair pink years ago and more recently did most of it a dark blue. it was really fun, and i hope for you to enjoy it was well if you want to do it!!
One of my oldest friends, whose hair is a beautiful natural ginger, was pestered by adults asking if she dyed it (we were about 7-8 at the time). She was so annoyed that she started yelling "I DYE IT!" before they could even finish their sentence. As a fake redhead now, I had to fight the disappointment of my parents when I started dyeing my hair (which was a very common dark ashy brown with grey streaks, because I'm in my 30s). I don't get why people are so involved in someone else's hair color. It's hair, it grows back!
I feel like every time someone does something different, a whole bunch of people suddenly have opinions. I used to have medium ash blonde hair (natural color) highlighted with a truer blonde. So many people freaked out when I dyed it fuchsia. It was a really rich, purple-pink that made my skin glow and my eyes pop. It was also the first time I felt at home in my skin. After about two years of having my hair dyed pink, I chopped all of my hair off. (Shaved it myself while drinking wine and blasting Reflection and Go the Distance.) People would _not_ stop telling me what a shame it was--that my hair was so pretty before, that my hair was too nice too be short, etc. It's now in a men's cut, and actually looks far better than it ever did long. I have volume! It's never greasy! It's always soft to the touch! I've dyed and bleached a number of times, and I never have to worry about consequences; I just wait a month or two and chop it all down. I also used to have to basically devote a day to washing my hair before; it was only mid-back, but my hair is so densely populated, it can be difficult to work product through all of it and it's even more difficult to make sure it all gets out. I think my record is washing my hair six times in one go. Now, it takes me a max of ten minutes--and that's only if there's product in it.
I found myself going "CUUUTE" at every outfit! I love the dark hair. The last outfit gave me big Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler vibes (and who doesn't have a crush on her amirite?)
I literally dyed my henna-red hair black last week after 10 years with the red. This further cements my theory that we are one in the same and should be friends.
As a natural green-eyed redhead myself, I can attest to the constant "is that your real hair color/your hair color is so pretty/you must love it so much/everyone would KILL or pay a lot of money to have your hair color" plus all the unsolicited comments from people when I tried dyeing it a few times LOL why do people got so many opinions about other people's red hair
I used to tie my hair colour a lot to my ‘identity’ or personality. Being blonde was kinda who I was and when I wanted to change it I felt so overwhelmed and worried what people were going to say and who I was going to be. Alas, I dyed it dark brown and I felt so awesome and new and I soon realised I decided who I was, not my hair!! Also doing the semi-permanent thing is great because if you decide to change your mind you can reset it and play with the colours which is so much fun! Don’t stress about feeling weird feelings, it comes with the territory of being alive. Also I love how you went from being Ariel to human Ursula and please take that as the biggest compliment ever that lady was gorgeous 🤣
When I was trying different hair colours three years ago my friend said "be careful if you ever dye it black. You'll fall in love with it and never try another colour again". And I was like "Black? Nah, it wouldn't work with my skin tone and I'd have to fill in my brows all the time." Now my hair has been black for almost two years and oh wow she was right. This is The One True Colour. Black hair looks amazing on you Rachel! So just a warning, it might be more permanent than you think 😄
My grandma had a friend back in the day (like 1950s) who was naturally a Marilyn Monroe-style blonde but died her hair black for DECADES. She thought it made her look more glamorous.
I totally understand that you were scared about the reveal but honestly you look wonderful as a brunette Rachel! Got Peggy Carter vibes which always is a fun thing!
the dark hair really suits you! and as someone with naturally dark hair its cool to see positivity for it! I feel like everyone always wants to go blonde or red
That hair color all curled with the red lip gives me hot 80’s mom vibes. I love this kind of content. I need more videos of Rachel getting ready, chatting and eating bread.
I never thought a hair reveal would be the perfect thing to watch while sipping hot chocolate on a rainy afternoon, but it was just what I needed. No drama or overhyping. Only new style confidence and cozy vibes :)
I completely understand on the judging of the dying of your hair. I have grey strands in my hair and my mom is always saying I shouldn't color my hair because I'll regret it. I'm going to be 42. I have dyed my hair since my 20s and the only regret is not being able to do a lot of fun colors without stripping my hair over days. I also have people commenting on hair length. Like wth. Its my hair and comfort. Geez. I think you look great and confident! Do what makes you happy and, like everyone has said, it will grow back!
This hair color is stunning! I love the red undertones to this brown color, and I think it suits you very well. Glad to hear you're having fun playing around with your hair!!
As a natural ginger who spent most of my life never playing with my hair, because like you said, everyone feels entitled to the color of your hair when you're a redhead. I'm so happy you went for a change! Last year, I finally told all the people to suck it and started bleaching my hair. I went for all the bright colors I wanted, then found out I was terribly allergic to hair bleach. So, I will live vicariously through you! Enjoy the new changes, it's your hair, and I think you look fantastic as a brunette!
You might enjoy Alex from Pretty Pastel Please going absolutely bananas dying her natural red hair every color possible after never being able to touch it while growing up. I'm also a redhead and I would love to go pink, buuuuut it's way too much time/effort/money for me.

Hey Rachel, as a fellow lady with naturally dark hair and super pale skin, I find that I need to keep my brows thinner that I want (or what is trendy) just because they stand out more. I wonder if that will make you happier with your look. But I will say, one of my favorite things about the dark hair/pale skin combo is how much you can play with colored eyeshadow. Have Fun! P.s.- White/Cream tops are your new best friend. You GLOW in them!
It's really giving "Lizzie x Mr Darcy"-vibes, especially when you had this white flowy blouse on, and I love it!✨💖 Oooh you could also pull of a Sexy Inigo Montoya cosplay now!
Firstly, omgoodness you look fabulous! Secondly, as I always tell my children, "Hair is just hair and it will grow and change and no matter the color or length just rock what makes you happy. About red hair: THAT'S SO TRUE. I'm a redhead, and one of the first questions that someone asks me when meeting me for the first time is, "IS THAT YOUR NATURAL HAIR COLOUR?!". I'm always happy to say "Yes, it is!" but true, people are nosy and need to know. And even more annoying is when they try to convince me that they are not that red, that they are auburn or blondish-something. Sir, I'm completely fine with being ginger, that's my identity, and I don't take it as an insult when someone calls me that.
Lol I don't see blonde in your hair. But it's beautiful. Damn I wish I had an interesting hair colour. My father had strawberry blonde hair but I sadly look like shit with red hair, genes are amazing
My hair is a mix of auburn and ash. So it literally changes colours based on season and sun exposure. So I dye it, cause it has to pick a damn colour 🤣
I am a substitute teacher and was teaching in the 4th grade. I said to someone the guy with the red hair. He said he didn’t have red hair. I asked him what color was it. He said, “Golden”. 😉
My father is Afghan so I am half Afghan...I look like an exact female replication of him....I have a head of BIG black hair, down to my waist....light brown tan...as most north Afghans has...brown eyes, and black brows and lashes.... My Mom was Scandinavian, with blue eyes and fair skin.... ALL the time, people try to convince me ,that I am Scandinavian 🙄 I have suffert a LOT of racism, through my life...and still does😒 Still I am proud af being Afghan.... Nowadays I just tell people,to get (new) glasses... And walk away😆
I am in love with your hair as this color. I know red is the classic Rachel, but I think the brown contrasts so beautifully with your skin. You look so good Rachel!
I swear you are an antidote to my depression, madame. Please endeavour to give fewer f***s about what others think, because only your opinion truly matters and we mere mortals are blessed by your ethereal creativity and loveliness (and anyone who thinks otherwise is wrong and can go chuck it). You’re just so darn delightful 😊✨ p.s. I once read in vogue (probably ten years ago now…) that your eyebrows “shouldn’t” match your hair colour exactly, they “should” be one to two shades darker UNLESS you are raven-haired. But, honestly, who gives a flying f***? Make ‘em purple if you feel like it, hon 👍🏻
As my mom always tells me, "it's just hair, so have fun with it." I really love this hair color on you, though. I don't remember seeing that orange dress before. It's absolutely gorgeous, and I have to know where you found that.
No worries. My sister has dyed her hair so many shades over the years that nobody can remember her original hair color. Hair color is a personal preference. Enjoy!

That being said, I totally commend everybody who does dye their hair fun/different colors. It's just like changing up your fashion; it doesn't change who you are or anything, it's just an expression. And I think you look lovely
I also liked my original hair color but can honestly say - worth it. Changed it almost six years ago and still haven't gone back. The moment you're ready to go back you can just dye it similar to your natural hair and grow it out
I am a natural redhead.. I have gotten that question all of my life. At leat 2 or 3 times a month. I started saying things like, "no, I am a natural blue". "No I got it from my mother. Hey girl hey! The new color is so dramatic and really suits your features, you look fantastic! My hair naturally changes colors fairly dramatically and literally is part time ginge. When I went to Japan and Korea many years ago my hair was in a ginge phase and I had tons of children but even many adults just reach out and touch my hair, it was almost compulsive. The little kids also really loved touching my freckles, they were surprised they weren’t bumpy and couldn’t rub off. 😂 Everyone was so kind and genuine though I couldn’t even bring myself to mind the many hands. 💕

As someone who wishes they were a natural redhead, fuck anyone who says you shouldn't dye your hair, you can't live your life by what other people wish they were.
My natural hair color is platinum blonde, though it has been dyed many colors over the years. The first time I dyed it, I got it done at a salon and the girl doing my hair CRIED because she didn't want to dye over my natural hair color.
When you're an iconic redhead, a hair reveal going over to brunette is big! Don't sell yourself short, you're interesting even when you're just doing your hair!
I absolutely looooove the new color! The red feels more "you" but honestly you absolutely rock the brown. I've always loved seeing you in brown wigs so I'm happy to see you changing it up to have some fun! Love you Rachel
I love you talking to yourself with loving self-confidence about how you can do what you want and the judgements of others are silly! Great modeling of healthy inner dialogue 💛
That is cool! I love it! It fits with your pretty eyes! Makes me think about Wonder Woman or Diana Barry in Green Gables! My brain had the same idea of changing hair color last year but when back to natural because I wasn't a fan of it on me oops 😂 but I would like to try red hair so much, maybe this year! Thanks for remembering me to be myself and doing things for me and not for others to like it, as long as I like it! ❤
Unsurprisingly, you look just as gorgeous with this color as with the red! I love experimenting with hair color and I think everyone should feel free to do it if they want to ❤
Dark brown looks great on you! It also goes well with the warm brown tones that a lot of your outfits have. Even better than the red hair does, honestly. I've only known you as a redhead for years, yet I got used to the dark hair by the end if the video. Also really excited to see it gradually shift back to red over time! Enjoy your new colour, Rachel, and never think twice about doing things with your appearance to make yourself happy. 😊

Your dark hair looks stunning, it really complements the way you style it! About the kitchen, if you have inset drawers in your cabinets: check where they are compared to the hinges. I helped someone with their ikea kitchen a couple of years ago and I remember that the ikea kitchen software does not take into account what holes are used by the door hinges and lets you use those holes for the drawer slides, so there's a possibility (if America uses the same software as it does in my country) that you won't be able to install all drawers. (I'm saying this because it took us some time to realize it was the plans that were at fault, and not us) (also, if your wall is brick/plaster, check with a straightedge that the wall is straight (and not slightly concaved/convexed) before trying to mount your cabinets, it will save you a lot of frustration trying to mount them and add to the longevity of your kitchen ;) )
I LOVE this hair color on you! It's a gorgeous color and suits you really well! Don't get me wrong, I love your red hair as well, they're both absolutely gorgeous!

Haha throughout I was thinking she looked way more sensual, but also way more hobbity. I guess I'm into the hobbit vibes!
Perry the platypus or something
Me want one of them Hobbity waistcoats 🥰
You look lovely as a brunette. To be honest it seems that you've got the sort of skin tone that can be complimented by any hair colour :) enjoy your Arwen vibes while you have dark hair!
I was about to say the same thing , she can rock every hair color ✨
I thought the same thing 😁
Ooo Arwen vibes, yes. I was thinking Snow White.
If Louise is your real first name, yay! I’m a Louise too! If not, yay! I’m a big fan of Rachel too! 💜

I yelled very loudly to my husband from across our house “RACHEL DYED HER HAIR” and he came running having thought I yelled “Rachel DIED”
Glad you’re alive and your hair looks great :)
My Fiancée spotted it on my TH-cam account connected to the TV and he was the one that made me think Rachel was dead!
wait y’all are out here watching rachel with your husbands? how? how do you get them to do that?
This!

I second this!
Completely agree. But wait what she isn't a natural red??? Wow!!!
OMG she looks so *AMAZING!* she should keep this colour. It makes her look like a old screen Holywood Queen!

As a natural redhead, I’m SO sick of ppl feeling they can dictate to me or guilt trip me to ‘NeVeR tOuCH’ my hair🙄🙄 Ugh. So…I cut it off and dyed it blue.
Do what YOU want! It’s your hair!!
Literally. Not only is it not even their hair, but it’s not like it can’t or won’t ever grow back out.
Hey I am so the same. Its hair and sometimes you need a change. My natural ginger hair is currently burgundy lol.
Blue haired people are sooo cool... I've always wanted to dye my hair but I never dared to do it 😞
I don't think anyone wants to ve mean to you. It's more of an admiration comment, as people wish to have your hair.
Yo same!! My hair was bright red and long but I was sick and tired of others dictating what I could do to my hair so I dyed my hair blue, let it fade, dyed it pink, let that fade and then shaved it all off and now have a frizzy bob, it's great!
Rachel: I can do so many cosplays without having to deal with a wig
Me: _excitedly whispers_ Arwen cosplay? Sarah Williams from Labyrinth? Susan Pevensie from Narnia?
i immediately thought of susan too, when she first took her hair down :) and i also approve of both other ideas.
Arwen and Sarah were my first thoughts too!!
OMFG SUSAN WOULD BE PERFECT HOW DID I NOT THINK OF THAT
Yes to all of these!
Yes, please!!!!!!
As a natural redhead with 30 years of random people stopping me all the time to ask about it, telling me that they will stop talking about my hair if I go dark is vvveeeeerry tempting (also it looks awesome on you!)
Why are people... 😬🙄
I'm also a natural red and went dark. I felt SO powerful. However, going back to my natural red was an absolute nightmare. Def recommend not using permanent color but it was so fun while I had it.
I have naturally red hair, but have always preferred to colour it dark
Homie, same. I did go dark once, but it looked bad, like I was sick all the time, and it was very hard to remove.
But yes, the comments get old. My “favorite” is when people tell you about other people they know with red hair…”oh, my brother’s wife has hair just the same red as yours!”……okay, that’s nice.
The Rachel-ness is not stored in the hair colour, it's stored in the heart. Also - you look amazing!
I’m so happy you’re in your Mr. Darcy era now. You’re gonna thrive, I just know it
Darcy cosplay!!!
Uhh yeah, the range from young Betty White to Darcyesque ❤️
@@Lisa-nm8ij That thought made me waaaaay to excited ^^;
As a redhead i’ve had the weirdest interactions w/ strangers making me pinky promise not to dye my hair…You do you Rachel. Hair is hair it grows back 🤷♀️
I get that with my blonde hair. “People pay hundreds of dollars to get your colour” “but its looks so niiiiiiice” and my personal favourite “it’ll never grown back the same, ya know” were the soundtrack to my teenage years
@@qwinlyn Legit it’s so crazy.
My roots look exactly the same color blonde as it was before
I love the darker hair! My favorite was the pumpkin color dress, it really set off your dark hair the best. Plus my motto has always been, "it's just hair."
Ditto on the dress.. Smashing, pumpkin!
rachel: [concerned about reactions to dying her red hair dark brown]
also rachel: [looks awesome, amazing, stunning, and gorgeous in wigs of every color, including platinum blonde and joan-of-arc dark]
I'm trying to decide whether this look should be called "whiskey big sis back from college" or "whiskey mysterious aunt who everyone says you look like" Either way, I love it!
I vote aunt vibes
Whisky grandma
Deff big sis back from college vibes
Both. Both vibes.
As a natural red head who has never dyed their hair because "red heads shouldn't dye their hair".... I'm gonna do it too now. This was all the motivation I needed, you look great!!!
I feel you. I have curly red hair. Oh the outrage of some family members, when I made my hair straight.
Dying your hair can be such a fun experience and no one should feel pressured to not have that experience just because of what their natural hair color is :) I hope you love how it turns out
Life is short, hair grows, enjoy
"As long as I like it, that all that matters." Yes! Apply that to everything. ❤️
Farewell for now from the ranks of the Redhead Reserve, may your time in the Brunette Brigade be as enjoyable as you hope!
Your red hair looks amazing, and the brown does, too. It just looks different, and sometimes that is just what a girl needs! I feel like you could do a truly sensational Peggy Carter cosplay! That would be awesome!!
I see that!
That said…. i do have redhairenvy 😅
But I understand wanting a change.
Been considering a color myself as my grey is starting to move in like an uninvited roommate
Ada Bailey get a wig from Amazon in the color you're thinking of, and you will see immediately if it's a good or bad idea.
@@Pondue_At_Large I kind of disagree w this I bought a black wig several years ago and I hated it but when I dyed my hair black I LOVED it I think cut and how the hair falls really matters
@@byrnetdown6076
Yeah, I had the same experience, but opposite.
"that's silly and as long as i like it, that's all that matters."
you're absolutely right! i also have my hair dyed (bleached so i can do bright colors) and i recently did a color combo that my hairdresser didn't really like, which she said when we were finishing up and i said, "well i like it!" it didn't matter to me that she didn't like it.
you do you and you do what you like! i think the dark hair looks great on you! gives me classy pinup girl vibes!
I know it's not Halloween for another four months or so, but y'know. ;)
See I think this hair will be a lot of fun when it comes to the spooky season. Like you said, it's just hair, have some fun with it while ya can.
it's Halloween every day here.
I'm thinking it's never too early for Hallowe'en. Enjoy!
I was thinking this too. She still looks like her to me :)
Keep being you
I’m a fake redhead and people ask me all the time if it’s natural. I always feel like I’m disappointing them when I say I dye it…
✋🏻 i’m a natural ginger too! i always get comment on how pretty my hair is and have gotten my fair share of “don’t dye it!!” comments too. ugh, i’m sorry you got crap for even just bleaching the ends of your hair :/ it’s your hair!! i coloured the ends of my hair pink years ago and more recently did most of it a dark blue. it was really fun, and i hope for you to enjoy it was well if you want to do it!!
I’m a national blonde and I’d get this too. I also didn’t find out there’s a red tone to my hair till I was an adult so maybe that’s why
Also got this, then last year started shaving my head and doing whatever witj it. Feel liberating go for it! I'm lavender atm hehe
As someone who, on a whim, dyed her hair black with a platinum fringe, I say you do whatever you want Rachel!
As a natural blond who was also told that I shouldn’t dye it either everyone has an opinion. (I also went red)
i feel you!! i have brown hair but love blonde on me and others feel like having a say, but they don't. the red looks gorgeous on you!! =)
Sitting here with split red and black haha
@@quinncy. some of us go teal
Now, it takes me a max of ten minutes--and that's only if there's product in it.
ditto...sick of people going "oh but why would you dye if you're a natural blonde!?" bitch red looks better
I found myself going "CUUUTE" at every outfit! I love the dark hair. The last outfit gave me big Rachel McAdams as Irene Adler vibes (and who doesn't have a crush on her amirite?)
That’s her! Was trying to remember who played Irene Adler for ages. Thanks 😘

Yes! Ursula is actually stunning.
Ursula was such a queen tbh
When I was trying different hair colours three years ago my friend said "be careful if you ever dye it black. You'll fall in love with it and never try another colour again". And I was like "Black? Nah, it wouldn't work with my skin tone and I'd have to fill in my brows all the time."
Now my hair has been black for almost two years and oh wow she was right. This is The One True Colour.
Black hair looks amazing on you Rachel! So just a warning, it might be more permanent than you think 😄
Stellacini (the youtuber) says the same thing, you must try black hair because they're so powerful
My grandma had a friend back in the day (like 1950s) who was naturally a Marilyn Monroe-style blonde but died her hair black for DECADES. She thought it made her look more glamorous.
honestly that fashion montage with you dancing around could have gone on forever. loved it, as much as i love all your videos.

Aww hell yeah, Dark Hair Club!! :D
I think you look lovely with dark hair.

Gingers are peng tings.
My father is Afghan so I am half Afghan...I look like an exact female replication of him....I have a head of BIG black hair, down to my waist....light brown tan...as most north Afghans has...brown eyes, and black brows and lashes....

No worries. My sister has dyed her hair so many shades over the years that nobody can remember her original hair color. Hair color is a personal preference. Enjoy!
SO PRETYYYYYYYY! Dark curly and poofed is always a hit
I'm a natural brunette and I've always thought it seemed fun to dye your hair, but I honestly really like my hair color(even if it is super common), so I never have.
Should probably get it back to her before she cones to". This was a fun video. Your hair looks cool. Thanks for sharing
I just wanted to say that I've been going through some struggles for the past few years, and no matter how bad my day is, your videos ALWAYS make me smile. No matter what the content is. Thank you so much for existing on the internet.
So much all of this. Yes.
I agree!
Yess I love it!! Thanks for continuing to do things "for you" on the internet. I promise that no matter what you come up with, your videos are always so so comforting as a brief distraction from all the things. 💕
I’m a natural redhead myself but have been considering dying my hair this color for quite a while (the guilt people make me feel every time I consider dying my hair has definitely been stalling me tbh). I think you convinced me to finally go for it. This color looks so good! 😍
Forgett them! Do what`s exiting to you.
I’m a natural redhead too and I couldn’t think of a natural hair colour I would like better but I decided to dye it lavender instead lol
It’s awesome to be able to play with hair color! Go for it and enjoy the experience!
Loved the outfits! The autumn dress with the leaf in front - gorgeous!
Omg when Rachel put her hair up in a bouncy ponytail, she really became Audrey Hepburn!! 😍
Unsurprisingly, you look just as gorgeous with this color as with the red! I love experimenting with hair color and I think everyone should feel free to do it if they want to ❤
I love how all the outfits were spring/summer! That dress with the leaf is so lovely. :) (also thank you for the fish updates)
I LOVE the dark hair!!! It look so good with all of your clothes. The sort of burnt orange colored dress with this hair is 🔥🔥🔥!
I love the dark hair on you so much! It’s very flattering to your eyes and skin tone. It was also good to see such a genuine smile on your face!
Much love!!
It looks SO BEAUTIFUL Rachel! I always get bored with my hair and I feel the urge to change it constantly. Also I am HERE for an Evie transformation 3.0 lol
Brunette or redhead, you’re always lovely! Sometimes, you just want a change, especially when things feel out of control. I shaved my waist-long curly hair in April of 2020. It was SO liberating!
wow, that is a big change! how did you adjust?
I also shaved my head in April 2020!! It was fun but the grow out process has been a bitch 😀
@@mintelladarling I wish the grow-out process would go MUCH faster------ some times. It could be fun to have a bit of long hair to play with, but with a hairless top I do not look good with all the mid stages of lengths.,,,, so no hair playing for ME. I wish I had done the playing while I still had hair on all my scull. .
@@Plethorality it was a shock for the first couple of days but I’ve kept it short since. Hot flashes are less brutal 😅
@@kristianbjrnjensen5388 for me, it wasn't that it went slow... but once you get to a certain stage, you have to constantly trim the growth so you don't have a mullet 🙃
She’s beautiful in any hair color. And in the end I love her and her videoed not her hair color. Her content made me a subscriber …… and her personality and realness is the reason I continue to watch…. Every …. Single ……video!!!!!
That color looks so good on you! As someone who is about to go from shoulder length pastel purple hair to a (maybe pink) pixie cute, I am here for fun hair changes!!!
OMG she looks so *AMAZING!* she should keep this colour. It makes her look like a old screen Holywood Queen!
❤🎥👸❤
Your redhead era has been glorious but I can’t wait to see what masterpieces you create (and shenanigans you get into 😁) with your new hair :)
(I'm saying this because it took us some time to realize it was the plans that were at fault, and not us)
(also, if your wall is brick/plaster, check with a straightedge that the wall is straight (and not slightly concaved/convexed) before trying to mount your cabinets, it will save you a lot of frustration trying to mount them and add to the longevity of your kitchen ;) )
I LOVE this hair color on you! It's a gorgeous color and suits you really well! Don't get me wrong, I love your red hair as well, they're both absolutely gorgeous!
