- Hyello and happy 2022!! Thought I'd start the year off nice and shiny with a Lady Knight project, hehehe. Wonder Woman is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time, so I figured why not redesign her into one? Okay you got me, I mostly got the hankerin' for some WEATHERING but two birds with one stone amirite. I never know what to say in descriptions but uhm I HOPE YOU LIKE!

I just had that brain moment where I realised: she's painting a realistic portrait of Gal Gadot onto her face in the medium of make up - and it's working! The transformation came out incredible, and I love watching the process as it developed. Your reveals always make me so inspired because they are STUNNING! I thought I was watching Ladyhawke it was so beautifully shot! ✨🌟🌙

I’m astonished by how little she looks like herself in the Gal Gadot face and wig, even in the wrap-up at the end when she’s out of character. The makeup came out AMAZING for this one.

I forget which video it was, but during a transformation she explained how to make eyes look bigger/ rounder/ cheekbones defined, etc. Perhaps it was the Katrina dress video???

I'll never not be endlessly amazed by how Rachel has such an eye for contouring, and just seems to know just where to apply her eyeshadows to transform into an entirely different face! I kept thinking I was looking at Gal in her outro, until lovely-redhead-Rachel popped up in the bloopers again and I was reminded that I was watching Rachel the whole time!
The entire end of the video my brain was like “why is Rachel’s voice coming out of someone else’s face??” The makeup is incredible and the armour came out so cool!
She looked like a valley girl. It suits her, but it's not the beautiful warm Rachel that everyone knows and loves as her red hair really suits her much better 😉😊😎😍

Now that you have stairs you can walk down dramatically there’s nothing that says you can’t make a dramatic entrance in every video. Also, after you posted that medieval Hips Don’t Lie in your Instagram story I found an entire playlist of medieval versions of songs. It was great 😄

lady knight content is definitely the right way to start off the year. also, now that you live in a very old house, whenever you lose stuff, you can blame the ghosts. they took it! it's a sign of possible hauntings!
Another tip for sealing foam: before applying glue, use a heat gun over the surface! Doesn't take much heat, even a hairdryer if you don't own a heat gun. It helps to make the pores of the foam shrink, leaving it to be perfect for adding your glue on top. 😄

I watch videos on a second screen while working out of the corner of my eye (mostly listening) so imagine my shock when I looked up for the reveal to see a completely freaking different person looking back at me. That costume makeup is UNREAL.

You should treat yourself to a respirator for when you're sanding/spray painting/dremeling. 3M makes some good half face ones for fairly inexpensive that you can swap the cartridges for fumes vs. particles. Your content is awesome, we'd hate to see you get sick from it!

Yeah. I hope she was just joking around and actually wore a respirator. Definitely not a good idea to go without, especially in an enclosed space.
Those cartridges do have expiry periods after opening. The chemistry is activated once exposed to air. Inexpensive if you use them daily. Sort of not very cost-effective if you only use them maybe once or twice per year.
You can get much longer life from them if you store them (with a dessicant) in ziplock baggies in the freezer, lol.

Dark hair looks beyond fantastic
As a person who has steel "museum replicas" armor and such sitting around the house. When you are done cleaning off the grease, you have to wash off any places you touch with your bare hands (the salt in your hands makes it rust.) you need to heat up the metal (use boiling water not fire) and rub it all over with beeswax. This prevents rust. You might need to repeat it every few years, but it's a wonderful thing.
And a capelet in the back would probably be perfect.

I do not care much for wonder woman, or DC in general, but when I saw that reel over on instagram I got really excited for this video. Your redesign turned out absolutly gorgeous.
I haven't finished the video yet, but I had to come comment on that basement. I used to live in a 300 year old New England house, and the basement looked EXACTLY like that, with all the stone and the logs for beams instead of 2x4s. There was a cupboard down there that my landlord joked was the entrance to the cells he kept former tenants in. That creepy clown would have been LEGITIMATELY terrifying in there!
Every time you do character makeup I am reminded how much of an art it truly is. You completely transform. I loved this!
Black hair look surprisingly good on you, it might be also because the makeup goes really well with it.

Also, Frodo is the cutest of cutests and as Brit in Australia, I very much appreciate the shots of snow! The armour is slimy because it needs oil on it to prevent it from rusting (I'm part of a medieval re-enactment group and that's what the fighters do to their armour ;) ).

Okay I will first off admit that I haven’t seen the movie, but was a huge fan of the TV series, I’m also a Joan of Arc fan. I love the armour, it always amazes me how cos players can make foam magically into something else! Fabulous job Rachel, absolutely amazing!

Can't express how much I love this! The chaotic vibe, the snow, Frodo, the make up, the armour, the dramatic reveal - just love all of it!! Maybe time to invest in some more (better) swords. As a mediaeval weapon enthusiast and reenactment combat fighter, I think you can never have too many :P
Also, as a German I habe to appreciate that you put our heraldic animal on the breast plate while wearing a shirt in the colours of the German flag, altough it was probably not intentional :D

It's always so wild to watch the outros on cosplay videos because I KNOW it's you but it doesn't look like you at all. This was so cool! The weathering looks amazing. Every time you make an armor video, it reignites by desire to make a Mandalorian cosplay lol
Love the reveal, did not notice any snot. I too love the weathering process (watching not doing as I have too many thumbs and too little talent), it is a fun kind of do-it-yourself without tech CGI. We got snow in my area also. Due to 3 no votes (2 cats, 1 human the guinea pig and chinchilla do not get voting status), we did the frolicking inside. Well I did, the cats are too serious for that behavior.

Nicely done! I think the sword you used was actually quite appropriate for a Lady Knight. Speaking as someone working in auto manufacturing that greasiness you felt was probably a layer of protective oil for the stainless steel. Even stainless steel can rust if it gets wet.
Cool shades and greys work better for mimicking shadows because shadows are not only darker but also less saturated. A warm brown is darker and more saturated than a light skin colour, and so it just looks like weirdly applied bronzer

LOL I do HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) and wanted to try making my own bucklers (mini shields, YAY!). I ordered some bosses (the steel dome thing in the middle) and when I got them I was NOT expecting all the grease XD I was told it's to prevent rusting :)
SO inspired now to do some stuff! (I'm thinking Godzilla-gone-HEMA or Godzilla-gone-Victorian.) Thank you so much for amazing content!!!!!!!!
