Hi Stacy! I share in the love of “process” in art ventures of many types! The more diverse the better which keeps my interest intact. I’m just beginning in Encaustic learning and loving it. I’ve had to step back recently from it due to family challenges, but deciding to begin again. And found your channel from YOU TUBE suggestion yesterday and subbed. Not interested in diversity of recipes, though. Not ever interested in food prep, 😝 lol…
    Thanks for sharing, vicki

I love watching you Stacy! I’m now into my 2nd year of Encaustics and am enjoying the total process. So I guess that makes me a process artist 😂 Just like you, I have many different artistic interests, plus enjoy gardening, and experimenting with recipes. Please keep the videos coming!!

@@ElainePaull-q6c oh gardening is a whole other adventure I want to take on. We’ve yet to set up a garden but I have an area picked out. Thanks so much for responding and happy experimenting 😍

@@StudioStacy Hi Stacy … can you tell me how to change the (@user) to my actual name? I made contact with you when I started into Encaustics, and just want you to know it’s me 🤣 … Elaine

I’m a process artist in most things. Sometimes when I’ve made a commitment with a company for works I will be focused on product, but usually only in those circumstances. I love the discussion. 👍🏻 nice to hear about part of your process.

I did not even think about commission pieces - good point. 😍This is probably why I don't like commission work 😂

I picked you as a product person at the start of the video because it seems like you always finish your projects, show your work, and sell it. I enjoyed the part where you showed us just how much you enjoy the process side of things. No matter what medium, I am a process person. I share your love of always learning and trying new things. I have always loved designing and find that once I know how a project is going to turn out, I often lose interest in finishing it.

I can definitely relate to the finishing part. 😍I have to resist the urge to start something new before finishing the other thing. It's a good thing my studio does not have too much wall space or I'd have a lot more unfinished paintings hanging on the walls. It also helps that you really can't stack encaustic paintings on top of each other without some careful packing.

@@StudioStacy That's the difference between us - you try to resist starting something new before you finish the other thing, but I jump into the new thing with both feet and set the other thing aside. Once a year, I clean off my desk and I'm always surprised at the unfinished projects I find. It's like an archaeological dig.
