Sushang is way more SP efficient. In contrast, Boothill actually does damage when the enemy is weakness broken -- the main problem that has been fixed via super break. Meaning if you pair Sushang with HMC, you have a strong competitor to Boothill. The one thing Sushang loses on is simply the fact that she's hobbled by 4 star scaling.

He has an ult+technique that applies a physical weakness which is super important. Another problem with sushang is that if you build her full break effect to run with hmc, her base damage drop of a ton and it's a significant portion of her damage while with boothill, 80% of his damage comes from breaks anyways so you can just focus on spd+break effect and it wouldn't hurt his dmg
He's definitely 5 star Sushang, or maybe Luka. Regrettably he is a signaficant improvement over them (well at least Sushang). Luka's bleed reprocs are pretty stupid so I'm not 100% there. If he was essentially a second E6 Sushang then it would be super easy to skip him. Not saying he's a super valuable pull tho. He doesn't really do anything *different* from them, aside from the implant, he just does it better. Break damage in and of itself is not reliant on multipliers which closes the distance between 4 stars and 5 stars, but a 5 star whose kit is designed around it is going to outperform. I think both Sushang and Luka in super break teams are more than enough to clear in time tho. There are also others who work exceedingly well with HMC like Xueyi.

I lost my 50/50 Aventurine to Bailu and got rage for free, because it was the 4th time it happened, 1 for the cone and 3 times in limited banners, so i maxed her out and now she's one of the best support i have in terms of healing.
Worth mentioning that the 3 star light cone Adversarial might be his 2nd best in slot at S5. Can use HP/DEF body/sphere to make up for base tankiness to get thru duels. You lose a little bit of non break damage for not investing any ATK or crit but that's like 8% of his output and can be made up for with substat investment
The team with Huohuo, boothill, Robin, and MC is just my main team. Huohuo has been my main (and only) healer, and robin’s damage buff and ult make boothill even better, along with the super break if I can time everything right.
I got boothill at 1 pity, and im fudging mad and happy at the sane time. I want to save for firefly but got him, ant the same time i really love his design.
tip: İf you do not wanna get his signature, "swordplay" will be the best option for bosses/elites and "worrisome, blissful" (topaz' signature) will be the best option for regular enemies. use anything you want but just saying it for those who wants that extra 3 damage
Thanks for taking the Bailu in my place, I won that 50/50 buuuuuuut I did go to 81 pulls(and I only do 10x pulls), his light cone took 86/90 pulls(lost Bronya's LC at 65ish).
He's a good tank and he does high toughness damage, so if the enemy is weak to imaginary he's able to chunk their break bar more allowing for Boothill to reach the break threshold faster.
I am at the point where I have to use a team that includes harmony mc, and instead of replacing a member of my follow up team, I decided to use my Boothill team which includes him, Pela, Harmony mc, and temporarily Lynx, who is actually in my main team. I have not given my Boothill team that much attention, and I have to learn how to play it, so I have some work to do.
My sub stats on gear were BLESSED! Only problem is I haven’t beat Aventurine yet so I can’t get all his traces. I think/hope if I do all the traces aside from the extra stuff I should be fine for now

There is River Flows in Spring and Adversarial to give speed. Adversarial is a 3* lc that gives a pretty big spd boost after taking a kill.
