Also he was afraid of being alone so doing what he did to his victims trying to make them zombies ect was the fear of abandonment not a reason to kill but letting a kid with mental issues for months wth 🤦🏻‍♀️. Also the 60’s 70 and 80’s was the era for serial killers that’s crazy. The parents didn’t help in anyway for sure. Psychiatrist are here for a reason. It mostly starts at home .

Very smart saying he combined both interests . He is a victim of psychological abuse but that doesn’t mean you turn evil .

I feel bad for Jeff's upbringing too. It doesn't justify anything he did, but if he didn't have such bad abandonment issues, he wouldn't have resorted to trying to create zombies who would never leave him. Fulfilling the emotional needs of a child helps to build a stronger sense of self esteem and identity that can handle rejection without internalizing it and feeling undeserving of love. Maybe, without the ongoing emotional trauma of his childhood, he would have been more like his dad, who had a few intrusive thoughts but never acted on them

nah I have "bad abandonment issues" and almost 7 different psychological disorders that make me have disturbing thoughts... however I would NEVER even think to do anything he's done or act on those thoughts. By your logic, I could've also resorted to doing what he did, but I didn't and I won't. I know ur not trying to justify anything he's done but when u put it like that... you kind of are.

@@KITTIMIN I'm in the same boat you are, but there is absolutely a difference between explaining something and excusing something. Absolutely, many more people with abandonment issues and mental health struggles never harm another soul and never would, but to the best of our psychological understanding, violent psychopaths are both born and made, meaning they are both genetically predisposed AND other traumas, abuses, and contributing environmental factors create the precise formula for a result like the Dahmers and Gaceys and BTKs of the world. I dont explain and empathize with young Jeffrey for his sake (other than perhaps the non-murdering person that child might have become if certain things in his life had happened differently), I do it so that other children moving forward can be more effectively understood, and thus more effectively helped, both for their own sake and to prevent them from ever creating any victims.

@@angelalurtz3638 I definitely see your point & while I can understand it, I still feel the same way I felt in my previous comment. We can agree to disagree.

There's nothing wrong with feeling sorry for Jeff the innocent child. Up until he murders Hicks, he's a pretty sad kid.

Stop at any country gas station around the right time of year, and you can still buy live worms for fish bait. Far more natural than a lot of the alternatives, and worms don't have the kind of nervous system to feel pain (as far as we know), but it still creeps me out how they try to escape 🤢

His father was a chemist. Science experiments were 2nd nature to him. His Dad was a good guy and his love for Jeff was deep enough that he visited him twice a month until he was killed. His Mom was a loon. Her interviews were semi incoherant because she was a drug addict til she died.

I didn't watch this whole video yet so I don't know their view on it, but I guess u could feel bad for his childhood living conditions. His mum was out of her mind and his dad wasnt around too much and when he was they were always fighting. Jeff was also a weird kid which resulted in him being very lonely and isolated from all the "normal" things young people do. But obviously all that aside he did deserve what was coming for him after the things he did

Oh ok u were probably talking about the 9:57 scene. That was def Jeffs fault, kissing someone without their consent and not giving them a ride after telling he would lol

Facts I would never because he didn't just kill, he did so much more & he was manipulative and knew how to use ppl. People act as if he killed one person and just shot him once.

once they finish watching the series I’m sure they will regret feeling bad for Jeffrey. I was actually the same way during episode 3 because I had no idea of who Jeffrey dahmer was at all I just watched the series out of curiosity I felt bad for Jeff because of his childhood trauma , he was alone had no one and had no friends and was weird , I also felt bad for him from the beginning because of his abandonment issues and of people always leaving him and how his parents left him alone especially his mother who neglected him and left him for so long instead of being a actual mother to him and his father not being around much I then regretted feeling bad for Jeff after seeing and learning every horrible and horrifying things Jeffrey did to the victims of men he targeted me feeling bad for Jeff at the beginning was my biggest mistake and I felt so ashamed to the point I was in shock and learned that this is REAL life that it ACTUALLY happened I’ve even seen documentaries about it afterwards and I felt even more mortified and sick to my stomach and how scary it was because it actually has happened
