The stone and chilly climate actually made me feel cozy. Brilliant use of color and decor because stone is so restrictive, but beautiful. Feb you are such a love clothing your workers. They were so happy they are swinging weapons all willy nilly like party people. The telescope tumble, yup that would be me so consumed with view off a cliff I go.
Lol I can't tell you how many times that's happened, not paying attention to my feet = falls off a ledge, I usually edit out my accidents but some of them are amusing:)
Of three home mods that make for a great lone alchemist, wizard/ hermit, this is the #2 spot. 4 of 5 greatswords. The #1 mod on that list is that tower on lake ilnata directly south from eagle's nest. the #3 mod is one you did not too long ago, avantor or something....
Looks amazing from outside, but agree the inside is a bit dark and dull albeit lore-friendly. Still worth considering. Currently looking for a player home for my new game and this channel is proving very useful for sparking ideas!
this would be the perfect house for my current character, if only it had a place to display claws, masks and some other knickknacks. Always love to display the special items in my player homes, but the video was lovely
It’s a lovely day, which makes a change! ☀️ nice productive day planned ending with a big live stream tonight! How goes it with Lady Darkstar on this fine Saturday afternoon?:)
lmao!!! well that's one way to get down the mountain XD but anywho, yeah this is a pretty unique place, I kind of like it although I feel like it could definitely do with some greenery/planters cause otherwise you'll have to constantly go back down the mountain just to get some supplies... well, at least your gluts will be in shape ;) as for the animals maybe if it had a roof that could open up (for those nice weather days) and there was dirt with some grass patches then it might be a bit of a better situation for them. but other than that it's a quite nice home with some great views
@@FebrithDarkstar lol someday, but I think I'm still quite a ways from then 😅 I will say that I would like to make pretty clothes/armors of the non-skimpy variety as well as home mods. Maybe also some additional plants/flowers/herbs/spices that can be planted and harvested with some new food & recipes. I've even thought about an npc overhaul cause even though there are some really great ones out there, I just haven't found one that I 100% love.
At 2:23 you describe the quest to purchase furniture in the town for your home. I believe Elder Scrolls immersion would be improved by creating a Caravan which you could accompany or not (players choice) which delivered your furniture to the house and hire some people to place the furniture in your home too. A nice touch for such high fantasy games would be if there was an option to hire a mage to levitate the furniture into place in your home with colourful telekinesis, or to do so with magic yourself as the character you played. Another option would be to polymorph each item of furniture into a magical energy bird or bat or other flying energy creature and it could fly to the designated spot and you could tell it to polymorph back into the furniture and remain in the place you desired it to be in your home. I think that would add a touch of magic to the whole thing myself and it is a part of the fairytale that is not even violent which I am quite proud of. The house looks great from the outside too, flying around it. Inside is ok, but it is the still life clutter that is really nice. The inside itself is not that magical like some of the other dwellings you have done, but some of the bookshelves and the alchemy room are beautifully done, you could really imagine a mage or alchemist enjoying it whether the owner of the house or a hired alchemist working on the philosophers stone or if the owner of the house was evil then maybe the alchemist would work on a series of potions to control the local lord by putting the potions in his mead over the period of a month and whispering in his ear with an invisible imp or some such creature.
@@FebrithDarkstar thanks, I thought I would probably be a writer or artist when I was a child so I am always mentally noting down plot points in fantasy and high fantasy and science fiction to add to my palette of plot event types. These can be altered enough that they are original and then worked into stories or paintings. Of course things got weird for me and I never became a writer or artist but I still keep my senses open to improve my plot device palette. It’s surprisingly easy to find plot devices, it is the style and wit you describe those plot devices that makes a great writer, especially the feeling you can write into the characters so that the reader feels emotionally involved in their lives but also the intricacy and consistency of the weave of the plot. One thing I especially love about fantasy and high fantasy fiction is the description of the use or system of magic, I adore magic and I love it in the context of combat but far superior to combat magic is the thousands of potential forms of non-violent magic, like for building dwellings, or making magical clothes, or for enhancing lives or wisdom in other myriad ways. The elder scrolls magic system is probably, in my opinion, the best in any roleplaying game either computer or tabletop and every new game comes up with a slightly better system of magic so I can’t wait to hear and watch trailers of The Elder Scrolls 6 single player game. That is going to be awesome. The only problem with The Elder Scrolls magic (and with most RPG magic systems) is that they are nearly exclusively combat based. There is little room it seems to weave magic into wonderful non-violent plot devices in such games, which is a real pity because people (especially children) play these games for hours every day and it is often non-stop violence all that time. I think if they incorporated some compassionate high art of at least as much non-violent action and adventure as they have violent action and adventure, then peoples minds and souls would be nurtured much more by the playing of such games. Especially if they included some morality play plot devices without being overly moralistic, real life ethical dilemmas and romantic courting and romantic dates and things like more involved and well animated gardening and dwelling building, important events in characters lives that are not combat based, things like that would enhance the play and the emotional immersion. Anyway, cheers and a toast to your channel Febrith Darkstar, I still feel that your channel is the most enjoyable game Mod channel on TH-cam. Thanks again and keep up the good work.
I feel sorry for those servants - I mean compared to the actual home. Two fun facts about the sword in the stone: 1) Lost in translation: it is probably a mistranslation, as the Latin word used for stone is saxum, sometimes just "saxo", while the invaders of Britain where saxons... So, a guy named Arthur took a Saxon's sword turned into Arthur pulled the sword from stone because someone mistranslated or forgot a single letter. (Plus it might have been a meteorite sword, meaning it was made out of meteorite metal which where rare but did exist such as Tentetsuou, the Sword of Heaven, a samurai sword.) 2) actually anyone could pull the sword: besides the heir of Uther Pendragon, everyone who is divinely appointed aka chosen by the gods can pull it.
@@FebrithDarkstar Yeah, I can relate to that. The funny thing about the "actual" history, as far as history goes, is that it can expand the stories we know all to well. A sword from the sky, carried by a Saxon and in the heat of battle got stuck in a stone: new movie writes itself .... I guess, I don't have to ask if you've watched the BBC series "Merlin"?? 😁 "Heed my words, young warlock!"
@@RobertVlcek Lol - well I went to Tintagel when I was a teenager and I remember being blown away by the feeling of romantic wistfulness that I felt there. Mind you, I've been a lover of ruins and ancient houses/castles etc all my life and so that's not unusual for me to feel that way in such places.
@@FebrithDarkstar Totally would love to see these places, the British isles in particular as I'm not so much the "exotic places" type, but I never found the time and most importantly the money for such a travel.
Aaah yes I know what you mean, if I had the means the first place I'd head for would be New Orleans, and then maybe Texas so people could call me "Ma'am" (don't ask why that makes me giggle and I adore it - I don't even know, it's just charming to me).
This place is awesome. You get really good views. Your character also got a good view of the rock he smashed his face into at the end of the video. :P
I know right? What a dumbass lol;) It was lucky I had no mic on because I was like, aaaaaah poop.

Aaah yeh I had that home in my last playthrough and will do an up-to-date video of it.
Quite beautiful. I'm tempted to give it to my character when she achieves archmage as a sort of secret retreat.
This is the most calming video I have ever watched
Thank you:)
I think in some cases, you can use your weather-clearing shout to make the weather a bit nicer. If memory serves.
Yeh I'm still a feeb:(
@@FebrithDarkstar Awwwwww.
Nice decor inside - a cozy place. It could use some more color inside - green, blue, and yellow/gold. Love the sink by the bed, and the secret safe.
Hey Raven, yes I thought so too - but then I often do lol:)
this was one of my favorites back in oldrim

Great video! i couldn’t find that damn eagle and you pointed it out so thank you
H'mmm. It's a nice outpost, I guess, but it makes me a bit uncomfortable-- Der Kehlsteinhaus above Berchtesgaden. Definite vibes. *shivers*
Now I want to watch WWII movies!
Actually, in game, it’s a hawk (pc) despite the eagle in the player mod home name.
