Rosario as city (municipality and suburbs) is the second in important in Argentina, reaching 1,9 M inhabitants in its metropoltan area and by GDP, too, behind Buenos Aires city.
Rosario is the other European metropolis not only in Argentina but on the continent, along with Buenos Aires/La Plata (and Montevideo in Uruguay)

A city is the municipality along with its suburbs, and Rosario as city has around 150K inhabitants than Cordoba. even more,
Cordoba isn't even the second municipality in the country, since with 1.85M inhabitants the second municipality is La Matanza

almost all San Lorenzo department: 180K
almost all Constitucion department: 80K
part of Iriondo department: 30K
San Nicolas department: 180K
Cordoba
Capital department: 1,5M
huge part of Colon deparment: 180K
