2:14 if you keep pruning, it's like you keep punching a child and it will sit in a corner and cry! We laughed so hard at this, welcome to Danish analogies.

“If you just keep punching a child, it will just sit in the corner and be sad”
That is actually very good info! You must let your bonsai trees gain some momentum to keep the tree going in the right direction. Continually pinching/pruning just to keep a “nice shape” makes a tree presentable all the time, but after years of doing this without letting your tree gain vigor/momentum is actually detrimental to the long term health of the tree. Bonsai is about patience and good practice/techniques over a long period of time. Great video with good info. Thanks and keep em coming!! Peace n chicken grease from the United States

"It is like punching a child...."
Can you please speak more on this? Such as technique, timing and time allowed before the next strike? Do you use a roll of change held tightly in your fist? Is jewelry acceptable? Is a cold compress or a chunk of cold steak allowed afterwards? So many questions.
But seriously, thanks for the video good information and just picking at you for the analogy.

Is it possible to make use of a small amount of water retaining substances in the pot to avoid complete drying out of the soil, such as sodium polyacrylate, vermaculite, etc? I want to make a small bonsai but I dread the thought that I might kill it on accident if I just leave for a day or two and come back to find it is completely dried out.
