It was 28 degrees this morning when my truck decided to strand me at a gas station. Took me an hour to think of looking at TH-cam. This information helped me get back on the road and warmed up. Thanks for the video!
We was stuck in a casino hotel parking lot.. couldn't get the truck to start. Found this great video and was able to get the truck to start. It was only the fuel. You save us a bunch of money. Thanks a lot bro.
This video was the answer! Checked my #27 fuse and it was burned out. Bought a pack of new fuses for $3.24, changed the fuse and it started right up :)
4 times my truck has done this. The first three times it started on its own after playing around in fuse box but not seeing any bad fuses. Fourth time i found this video. Fuse was identical to yours. Thanks for the tip!!
BS I’m gonna repeat what so many others have already said, THANK YOU, for figuring out the issue & taking the time to make and post this video. You saved my ass last night. Broke down on the side of a desolate Kansas highway with sever weather all around. Spotty cell service at best but i was able to pull up your video and see enough to fix my pos 2010 F150. If you’re ever close to Wichita, please hit me up. I’d like to buy you dinner or just say thanks in person. You Rock🤘
Just spent hours trying to fix my brothers truck, found this video, and fuse 27 was shot. Thanks for sharing this. I’m sure you helped out many other people as well.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! My F-150 cranked, wouldn’t start, and we were basically stranded. Watched your video and my fuse looked identical to yours. Luckily town general store was open and stocked fuses. Simply replaced it and it cranked right up. May God Bless You for blessing me!!!
Thank you and thank you You tube. This video saved my day. Last night my 2009 Ford F150 had the same problem crank but no start. Replaced the yellow 20 amp fuse in slot #27 and it started right up:)
Never commented on TH-cam video before.. I wanna say thank you for this video.. I had the exact same problem and brother you saved my morning.. a 10 cent fuse kept my truck from cranking
this is exactly what was going on with my 2009 F150 and I pulled that fuse and replaced it ... sure enough started right up ...thank you for this video...awesome information..!
August 2020: I have a 2010 F150. My truck did the same thing and I though it was the anti-theft sytem. Turns out after watching this video I found that this fuse was the culprit. Had to pull it to find it as it looked fine. After changing truck started right up and the fuse that I pulled was burned like the one in the video. Thank you so much I was getting ready to call a tow truck. I will carry a couple of extra 20 amp in the glove box for sure on case this happens again.
Thanks for this video, truck wasn’t starting went and checked this fuse and low and behold it was the problem. ( not as burnt up as yours, but it was on its way.)
Like many others I'm going to add my thanks as well. My 2009 simply didn't start yesterday when I was going to run errands. No other indications that anything was wrong when it was last driven. I came online and after a bit of searching found this video but since I didn't have a replacement I simply re-seated the relay and the fuse. The fuse looked very mildly corroded on one side but otherwise fine. After that the truck started right up and a drove to the auto parts store for replacements. Thank you!
Was on my way home (5/12 hr drive)got gas, moved the truck to use he bathroom and it wouldn’t start! This video came in super handy! Thanks for posting it!
Thanks so much. I had this exact issue come up over the last few weeks. Found this video and when I checked my fuse, it looked exactly like the one you showed. Was able to repurpose another fuse to get me to the autoparts store.
You are the Man. I literally just sat down after being aggravated trying to solve this issue. Typed in the issue on TH-cam. Your video popped up "Problem solved" Thank you .Thank you. May your year be blessed.
Oct. 29.2019...on my way home from work, my 09' f 150 didn't want to start back up..i was so pissed off🤬.. i was waiting for triple a. When I found this video...you are so awesome bro. I see there lots of other folks who you have helped out as well with your video.👍
This video saved me a lot of time and money! Was stuck in the driveway and needed to take essentials to my in-laws. My mechanic was even stumped! Just before we towed the truck to the shop, I ran across your video! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! #YouRock 👍🏽🤘🏽✌🏽✊🏽
I'm thankful for this video because I had no idea what to do. You really saved me a lot of money. Only had to spend $3.24 for a 20 amp fuse. My fuse was corroded and I scraped it clean so it could make contact and that was good enough to get me to Autozone and buy the new fuse. Thanks again!
Thanks just fixed mine yesterday. You should let everyone know that this may happen again and to fix it permanent the fuse needs to be moved which ford sells a kit for. Thanks for the info
i just found that one 20 amp fuse by engine bay that was my only problem after already replece the fuel pump and fuel pump module,, tnks for the video , it helps a lot
MY TRUCK WOULD NOT START AND STARTER STAYED ENGAGED TILL I SHUT IGNITION OFF. THIS VIDEO GAVE ME JUST ENOUGH INFO TO SWITCH A FUSE TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY SLOT #27 AND MY F150 STARTED RIGHT UP. USE FUSE FROM SLOT #45 (NEXT ROW DOWN AND 3 TO THE RIGHT) AS IT IS FOR TRAILER TOWING LIGHTS AND GO TO PARTS STORE AND GET SOME LOW PROFILE MINI 20 AMP FUSES TO REPLACE IT AND PUT THE EXTRA FUSES IN GLOVE BOX.
For all of those in the comment section replacing the fuse is only a temp fix! it is a ford defect and you're gonna need to do a fuse relocation installation. Its not hard at all takes about 20 min to do. All this does is relocate the fuse to a bigger fuse so it wont burn out. You can buy the kit on amazon or at the ford dealership both are about 20$.
Dude, Thanks a million. You just saved me hundreds of dollars trying to figure out what was up with my truck. Already spent 100 trying other stuff and it was a 90 cent fuse. Thank God for Ytube. Subscribed for life. Dinners on me if your ever around WV/OH area.
Thank you, just tried on my 2009, fuse was not burned but loose and full of dust inside the fuse box. Cleaned it moved fuse a bit and truck started right away.
Thanks for posting this, I’ve been thinking I was having trouble with the Alarm system that was installed by the previous owner of my F150, yesterday though after completely retiring the Alarm and replacing my battery it started “randomly” acting up again after a week of no issues and left me sitting on the side of the highway with none of the previous fixes working anymore (removing neg cable and resetting system, checking for loose wires, etc.) I googled to see if there was anything else to check and presto your video popped up and two seconds later I was back on the road to O’Riely’s Autoparts for some more fuses and a new relay (which was hotter than hell.) Thanks again, it is sad that Ford can’t be bothered to put out good troubleshooting manual.
My 2009 F-150 w a 4.6 8 cyl stalled on highway, cranked but wouldn’t start. Got towed home, no engine codes, no check light. About half an hour after I got home, truck started. Looked at module, all plastic, seemed ok. Found your vid, same fuse burned out exactly the same. Replaced and hope that solves the problem!
B S thank you so much. came out to my truck and it wouldn't start couldn't figure it out. I have no idea how many hours kicking the tires you may have saved me and countless dollars throwing parts at it. if I could post a picture I would. my fuse looks identical to yours not. not blown still works just corroded from being inadequate.
Thanks for your video do you know why the fuse is blown because if it burned out that bad then something else is going on I'm having the same problem only if I change the fuse out and it's not burnt this time but I have no power to the truck at all
This happened to me this morning. Had a double whammy with a flat tire on my trailer and truck had crank but no start. This video was the first video that popped up. Had a spare 20a fuse and all is good! I wonder what causes this?
My 2013 wouldn't start all fuses inside were good all the fuses under the hood were slightly raised . Pushed them all back down and it started. This was my first problem in 5 years. It really scared me because it was 4 degrees outside and I had my baby with me glad I was able to troubleshoot it and get it going
Did you have any other symptoms? The RPM’s on my truck fluctuate while driving and it just didn’t start a while ago, I checked and that fuse hole is completely burnt, I wonder if that could cause my rpms to fluctuate since the fuel pump wouldn’t know when to send more fuel
If this fuse is toast, the truck won't start at all. Is your check engine light on? Have it tested for free at Autozone, and they'll even give you a printout. Maybe TPS or IAC?
My truck was running good the next morning I tried to turn it on it would only cranck but wouldn’t start idk if it’s the fuses that burnt or the fuel pump
Live in Mn -20 here truck wouldn’t start on street .Almost had to tow it turned key didn’t here the fuel pump so I did figure it out but came along this video afterward definitely a ford flaw!almost had to get it towed or city tows here in the winter .
BTW any idea what might have caused it? Got me a few extras but what like to head off any other trouble too. Get ya lunch for this one. Thanks again. Closest exact match fix I ever got from Ytube.
Me changed fuse for feul .start up .it was crazy drove fine parked then wont start. I'm going to put the kit in the other fuse had a burn on one side .not as bad as yours .
Best $3 ever spent. Your video saved me from having the truck towed. So grateful to have found this before I called. Thanks.

Was stuck in a parking lot with the fam and dog. Thanks to this vid I was able to cancel the tow truck!

Was stuck at grocery store gas station . My fuse looked just like yours . This video got us going. God bless ya man.

Have you figured out what caused it to happen. Happened twice to my 2009 F-150 also
Thanks, 205000km and just happened to me. Fixed.
Question for you . Was it running and then just shut off and wouldn't start back up? Like nothing no starterturing or anything?
Was it just the fuse that got burned up or did something else cause the fuse to burn up that needed to end up being replaced?
Live in Mn -20 here truck wouldn’t start on street .Almost had to tow it turned key didn’t here the fuel pump so I did figure it out but came along this video afterward definitely a ford flaw!almost had to get it towed or city tows here in the winter .
