Sadly happens far too often. High risk investments are a gamble and to hear that the owing were none the wise. Who else were on the board and approved this. The board and tribe need to take some responsibility!

And accepting referrals by the crown who's soul interest are our lands minerals etc who has a long history of intergenerational wealth . We willingly gave it all (finking) they know better . Well you ( fort white ) our wealth. was in our whenua . Now its just aroha. for 💲💲 not the people . Using kaumatua. to give the big ✅ with no idea of their hidden agenda. Here koro go to RSA have some beers and a kai . ... Many of these kaumatua that are on the tribal boards . Just more informed . And still none the wiser . .. they are victims of vulnerability .

Investments of any type is a risk. Therefore, the key is knowing when to pull out or continue but investing in large financial corporations will always be a big time risk. It is all about taking risks and when you do gain it is awesome and superb, however when it crashes you will lose everything.

never invest in one or two companies, always have a diversified portfolio, even a 8% return would have returned over a million in one year, invest just $1,000 a month on top of t==$14 Million, then compound the returns over 20 years , you would have $70,000,00! and then set up a trust to pay dividends to the tribe. Play the long game

If investment speculation was fool proof we would all be rich. The Board and the CEO in the end backed the wrong horse. . If it had come in they would be now be feted by the iwi. Unfortunately the opposite result occurred. and also unfortunately the interviewee here cant really shed any further light.

Waikato-Tainui jumped from third to second place with $1.97b, up on $1.52b previously. Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei has gone from second to third with $1.6b, previously $1.55b

A couple in Taranaki got millions from taxpayers for land and spent it all at the casino. Who is keeping an eye on this huge sums of money? People work hard and pay tax for this to happen. Not on. That is a lot of money to lose and they are not putting hand out again. People are getting mad about wasting it. 😊

Your waka is a corporate fiction, a whenua trust is subject to the trusts act, nothing Maori about it. The land was given back to trusts because the Crown doesn't trust you with sovereign Maori land so they make the land fall under crown durastriction through the policies of the companies and trusts act. Its easy to solve, dissolve the company's and trusts and occupy the land.

    NZ hasn't been for anything.
The end of the story will be when Maori get paid for whats theirs. Considering the settlements that Maori are getting is less than 1% of the NPV of the assets current market value thats a damn good price for NZ. Stop being ignorant and learn some history
