I figured Europe still had quite a bit of scooter racing. Many people have told me that the street scene has majorly declined due to regulations, but I assumed the track scene was still going strong.
Short of the issues with my carb not wanting to stay in place it was a fun time at the track. I would’ve loved more scoots but hopefully they’ll show up next year.
Bro that was So cool, Im a couple hours away from there, I'll be on the lookout for the event next year 🤙🏽 The sideline recording is much appreciated awesome to just sit back and watch the races! That one dude had like a 6.8, couple 7.03/5 pretty impressive little Groms, The Metropolitan and the two stroke sound❤ ( Ill be in the 2stroke class 💪🏽) I'm surprised they let dude on the track in a T-shirt and shorts😂 Again I appreciate the detail, prices, maps; excellent content 💯🛵💨💨
Those bikes are wild and some of those guys are hanging onto to 'em with no thought of backing off. I'm pretty sure some have went mid or low 6s (at other events). Someone said there was a $2000 grudge race after the classes, but I was racing at the time so I didn't get that. They said you must wear above ankle boots, long sleeves, long pants... but it was quite relaxed. That said, I brought the required gear and would absolutely bring it if you plan to race to be sure. I prefer to wear some gear anyway.
Yeah. I think we talked some time ago, but Capitol and DelMar told me I needed leathers and more safety equip for the scoot IIRC long ago when I asked. Back then I was only doing 50 or 60 something in the 1/4 but they didn't care. Seems like you need an IHRA or outlaw track to be lenient enough that small bikes can enjoy it without all of that.
@@49ccscoot This is phranc. Im on my company account and wanted to pass on some info before it slipped my mind. Next door to me is Paradise Racing and he has a connect with the guy who currently runs Capitol Raceway. A small bore gathering would be very possible there. Pretty sure you can run without all the leathers and equipment. And there may be a group already doing things there. Im going to follow up on this when I can.
That would have been cool. I was busy the whole day just being around with the camera and when the classes were over most people packed up. Worse than that, I'm generally introverted so it's hard for me to go up to people. Maybe next year... or maybe more scoots will show up and I'll be too busy racing. lol
I think down in Texas (Austin?) they do small bore racing, including scooters. I learned of it through Scooter911, and Go Powersports does mini bike rallys and other mini bike races.
@@49ccscoot Nice vid. Looked awesome on the 50" flat screen. I could tell the weight to speed difference for sure. Your scooter is quick, and consistent!! I'm looking for a serious exhaust for my MHR 70cc cylinder. Where can I find the 8.1 exhaust?
What is the distance of drag event? 1/4mile (402 meters)? I am trying to compare my own times (raced a 50cc class on 201meters), best was low 11's... Good rally, looks like it has been great fun!
Do you think you would ever try the Scooter cannonball run across the country? Next one is in 2025. I would love to do it but I’m self-employed and summertime is my busy season.
I'm not sure which is which TBH. Some of them are big swaps, like CB300R engines are a popular one. There are 400s and larger as well though. Some are nitrous. Long swingarms.
@@spongebobdriftpants Don't think so. What would be fun is a king of the hill class. Take the top 8 quickest bikes of the day and stick them in one bracket for the final bracket. See who's the baddest on the property that day.
super cool! wish there was similar event in PNW!
Happy with the results!
This is so awesome!!! So glad you guys made it! Good times!
Snoopy needs to make a comeback next year. 😁
@@49ccscoot that would be cool. I miss it. Good to see you guys doing so well.

I would love to having something like this here in Czech Republic, there are enough scooters but not a single event like this -_-. Great video Brent!

My wife and I are looking forward to going in 2024. 😊👊
Really great videos, all three parts of Smoky Mountain
Some of those 4 stroke 250 cc's doing serious times
Thanks!

I’d have liked to see short build interviews with the riders. 1320 video style.

Cool bud. I'm going to watch this on the big screen. That's your MHR RC ONE right?
Yeah. Ryan has the same engine, but 8.1 pipe and he uses the MHR ignition (mine is MVT).
