I can't wait to watch you hit over 100,000 subs because you definitely will! Love your content. I've learned so much and my tegu appreciates what you've taught me!
Another great video brother! You’ve grown a lot since the first videos I started watching ya in. Loving the diversity each video is having. Congrats on those eggs too!
I just recently picked up our 1st tegu which is a 2 year old blue male and I love watching your videos! I've learned so much and appreciate your knowledge so much! Your collection is absolutely beautiful 😍
Joey I noticed you are using the sleeves for your arms. Do you recommend them if so how can I get some. Excellent video today I truly enjoyed it. All the Tegus look amazing.
Look at those beauties! I had no idea the nest would look like that--crazy cool. You said diatomaceous almost right, but for a long "A" in the middle--die-uh-tu-may-shus. The suffix "aceous" is Latin for, in this case, "made of." It's earth (dirt, soil) made of diatoms. Diatoms are single-celled algae that make up most of the phytoplankton in the ocean. They are the only organisms on Earth to have cell walls made entirely of silica, a crystal, which is why it cuts. No, that was not all in my head, I had to refresh my memory from school days cause I'm kinda old. It sounds like something Data would have said in Star Trek Next Generation.
Awesome video brother 👍. I see you have eggs 🥚 out of Marcel x Pleague , I want a male hatchling if that's possible. I also want a blue out of Topaz x Vanessa. Maybe you could mark me down for those two breedings and hit me up as soon as I can put a deposit on them . I'm really excited and can't wait as you can probably tell. lol !! 😆 . I'd like to see 👀 those reds you have , that male is impressively huge. TTYL.
when did she lay? and will u update us how the rest of the clutch go? i would be particularly interested to know the time btwn laying the first ones and any further eggs she lays. Wishing her all the best :) Also wanted to say thx for such detailed information :)
The tegus are beautiful and well cared for but the one thing I don't get is why nobody who makes tegu videos knows how to hold them. You don't hold them like that, of course they don't like to be held that way. You need to hold them like a baby, you put them up against your chest with thier head on your shoulder and at least one hand securing them on the lower back or hips. They are ground lizards so they have to feel secure with their arms and legs all toughing something and thier weight supported. My Tegu feels secure enough that he will put his arms to his sides (the relax thing all big lizards do) when I hold him. If you want a good camera shot all you need to do is turn your body to the side the tegu is on. No tegu likes to be held in out stretched arms they will always struggle, they have to feel secure. One question, will males do the push thing for a nest or only females? I was told my Tegu was a male when I got it 3 years ago but I think its a female. He/she pushes like the one at 4:42, lifts its tail when rubbing or starched there, and doesn't have huge cheeks. Are those sure signs of a female?
Just about all blue tegus hatch out almost completely black. They get lighter as they shed and grow. How they ultimately turn out depends on their genetics.

Where did you get those enclosures you showed at the end?
Do hybrids get much bigger? Was looking at one like is 85 blue and 15 red. Would it be bigger than a normal blue
It depends a lot on the parents
@@RoseCityReptilesTX ok thanks
Do all blues get more white as they age or do you have to start with a high white if that's what you want
