@zhongliidonglii I loved the close ups on Josh Hartnetts face it was really creepy seeing his eyes go crazier and crazier as he descended deeper into madness as the cops trap was closing in aroumd hom him and I felt that was clever to use the close ups to represent the trap closing in on him . Very claustrophobic and creepy

Backstory, as I'm deducting, is that he had an abusive relationship with his mother, which he never dealt with. Severely damaged, her death released his "monster"... The Butcher.
Trap with Josh Hartnett and Speak No Evil with James McAvoy... As a poet from tiktok said: How am I suppose to enjoy this... but still stand in God's light? I don't know anything about tasers but I know ONE causes a hell of a pain. And he seemed to put up quite a fight while being tased multiple times. He killed one of the cops and managed to stay on his feet for some pretty good seconds. Maybe I'm just trippin but I wonder if this movie could be part of the Unbreakable/Split/Glass universe since Cooper’s childhood issues and psychological state kind of reminds me of Kevin Wendell Crumb from Split.
I thought it would’ve been way better if the family knew and helped him. I thought maybe we were gonna get that when he showed up at the house at the end but nooooo. Mans a slippery snake though. He can get out of anything 🤣
I'm loving the Josh Hartnett renaissance!! I've loved him since The Faculty (great movie!! Highly recommended, terrible CGI though😘) all the way to his comeback performance in Penny Dreadful 💖💖💖
I watched this movie in theaters FOUR times. Once cross faded, once sober as hell, twice slightly tipsy. I STRONGLY regret watching it under the influence the first time because i felt like i was in a constant state of pre-anxiety attack the ENTIRE film
I thought the twist was that the daughter was involved somehow or that she's the killer and the father was just helping to not get caught becuase he loves her. An M. night movie without a twist.
I always thought Josh Hartnett looked the best in Virgin Suicides until I started watching Penny Dreadful! The show is great and 19th century Victorian looks really good on him!
I think people have a hard time suspending belief when watching movies these days because most modern films are grounded in reality… so when Shyamalan makes an “unrealistic” movie, people can’t seem to enjoy it because they’re thinking about all the ways this wouldn’t work in our world / reality 😵💫
@@tristanmovies8629yeah sorry but no y’all have to stop acting like everything is a masterpiece when it’s not then blame it on bs like “most films are grounded in reality” which isn’t even a true statement by the way. Just a suggestion. But there's an old 1980 horror film called The Children that you may not have seen. It scared me as a child. It's a rare movie that not many have seen but it's good.

Would you consider reacting to Only Murders in the Building? I really think you would like the show. It might start a little slow for you, but I think you would end up enjoying it a lot.
I meant to see this film in theaters. Now, I can watch 'TRAP' with you together. With this and 'Inside Out 2' on digital, I don't really see the need to see them in theaters (seen 'Inside Out 2' twice in theaters back in June). With the whole situation with the security being at the Lady Raven show, it got me thinking of those plotted terrorist attacks at the Taylor Swift concert overseas.

This movie had a great and what would’ve been a fun and thrilling concept but the execution just fell flat for me and it’s a shame because Josh Hartnett carried the film but for the first hour it’s like they don’t really know what to do with the character/story then they figure it out the last 30 minutes the first half was a lot of nothing.
Do you know how many people have an animal tattoo on their wrist. Like a lot. He should know this and I also wonder if he could have hid his tattoo under the temps his daughter said she had in the bag, or if he could have “accidentally”burned his arm when he was “helping” the girl whose face was burned, or if he could have stolen like an all day concealer from a woman's purse or did something with the keycard or his semi friendship with that security gaurd or just about anything else. I probably would have gone with burning my arm helping the girl snd then used that as an excuse to get a concealer either from the mom of my daughters frienemy or asked if she knew someone who had a concealer. Also his tattoos barely even an outline I’m surprised that at a quick glance under tramatic circumstances that anyone would be able to tell that, that even was an animal especially if they had no other ways to describe him. Also even in worst case scenario and the cold do see the tattoo of an animal on his arm, as I said before a lot of people have animal tattoos on their arm and especially if he doesn’t have any known criminal record he could ask for a lawyer, and any decent one would get the ID kicked out. Their were several descriptions of the butcher and only one said that he had a tattoo. And the person only said they thought it was of an animal, it’d probable that she wouldn’t even be able to pick him from a line up with no other descriptive factors. He doesn’t really march the type of person they thought the butcher was emotionally that much. His lawyer would probably call in all the “witnesses” if they had to do a line up because their was like five witnesses and two witnesses said be was black, one witness said he was white but no other descriptive factors and only ome said he had a tattoo on his forearm but they weren't even that sure if it was an animal or not, they said it may have been an animal, it may have been a rabbit. Doesn’t seem without a doubt like it’s supposed to be in a line up. If they did a line up and had he and another guy have tattoos with that diamond symbol and a rabbit inside it would she be able to know which one he was or even if the other tattoos had other shapes arround them or even other just outlines of a rabbit without a shape arround it or maybe even a long eared donkey tattoo. This was literally his worst option.
Sorry for some of the spelling issues like cold instead of cops, sometimes my phone goes to the next letter and if I put it on spell check sometimes they put in words that make it the opposite of what I’m trying to say, so I'm typing w/o it.
