    That's kind of beautiful how simple it is. The flair has a much longer lever and I've seen people put quite a bit of elbow into pulling a shot on them so I'd be curious to see how this turns out. Maybe it's using a much smaller diameter so less force is required?

      Hi there! In general, espresso brews at 9 bars of pressure, which is really high and it means a lot of pressure is required. We will speak about it in details in our review, we just need some time to test it and share a confident feedback 🤍☕️

      @@ourcoffeeshelterSo Pressure = Force/Area. You can increase pressure by either increasing the force or decreasing the area so smaller baskets are useful for machines like this.
      Looking online it's using a 51mm basket.
      51mm basket -> ~2043mm2 area
      9 bars -> 0.9N/mm2 pressure
      0.9 * 2043 = 1838N force
      From looking at that picture I'd judge the lever provides ~1:4 mechanical advantage (from the pivot, distance to piston : distance to handle)
      So to create enough force you'd need to press:
      1838N / 4 = 460N = 47 kgf (kilograms of force)
      For an average 100kg person they're putting roughly half their body weight into it. So a bit of elbow is needed, but that doesn't seem *too* bad I guess.
      That's the theory anyway, I'd love to hear how you find it in practice!

      @@thomasroberts6008In which world does an average person weigh 100kg though? I like how the other measures are so exact and this is just a engieneer's wild approximation 😂

    Niiice! But too expensive. I'll take a Flair Neo Flex for $99 and add a gauge. But that's a really nice looking and simple device.
