Although they were 90BBs deep, I think the dumb play came preflop when Tom Dwan opened K5s from early position and then called a 3bet from a tight recreational player who's 3bet range consists of hands that dominate K5 suited. I don't mind his play on the turn but his opponent is repping TT - AA which is never folding to a check/jam on the turn.
There’s a big difference between “dumb” moves, and bluffs that simply don’t work out because your opponent is actually holding something worth calling (or raising you with), such as that last hand between Dwan and Hansen-as well as some of the other hands shown in this video, and the important distinction between those two things should not be overlooked. Granted, some bluffs are “dumber” than others depending on the circumstances-and I get that-but bluffs in general are not inherently dumb just because they are bluffs. If you make a TH-cam video that seems to be portraying bluffs that fail as “dumb” moves, then you’re relegated to being clickbait, as may be the case here. Also, no one would ever punt a whole bunch of chips in ridiculous spots where they know they’re drawing dead, (or nearly dead) etc. and are going to get called holding jack-squat, so let’s not forget that what’s being portrayed as “dumb” (whether it actually is dumb or not) is often the result of one guy simply not knowing what the other guy has, and making the only move on the pot that can win it for him. We’ve all made failed attempts at bluffing in the game of poker before. It happens all the time, and it’s not automatically a dumb move to try to bluff at a pot; it just tends to look like one when it doesn’t work. I contend that some of the bluffs in this video were simply bluffs that were attempted at the wrong time more than they were “dumb”. Again, usually no one in his right mind would punt most or all of his chips in spots where he knows he’s drawing dead (or nearly drawing dead) if he knew that his opponent who has him beat is going to call or raise, so what’s being portrayed as “dumb” moves here are mostly in reality, simply bluff attempts that failed. In watching this video, we have the advantage of knowing what the players were holding as the hand unfolded. But none of the players knew what the other players were holding until showdown (or when all hands involved were turned face up on an all-in bet). By the logic that bluffs are somehow therefore “dumb”, then If that same bluff is successful, is the person who bluffed somehow a genius?
ya he really cant just call there and then be forced to fold with bottom pair if the spade bricks that was not a massive mistake at all. I think the biggest mistake there is just not folding that hand preflop
as much as I dislike Dwan, I don’t think his plays were anything but explorative bluffs he could afford in the last case, while the all-in was somewhat justifiable.
Helmuth : if the have a better hand it’s unfair. If they buff they were trying to give me money if I get sucked out on , they are the worst players ever.
not sure if this was made before or after the hellmuth vs j.koon heads up duel match, but THAT hellmuth play is a LOT worse than the vs nick wright one shown here. 5 bet bluffed off like 1/3 of his stack with Q6o vs AA's (+ chips later in the hand). and unlike the nick wright match, he didn't come back from that pot to win that match (did beat n.wright, both in same tourney set up)
it's since hellmuth lives in the streets of exploitative play entirely. from that sometimes he'll look like a genius, other times one of the worst players you've ever seen. he's clearly not overall one of the worst players ever seen of course.

Hate the pokergo streamers so much they are so dumb and keep chit chatting about nonsense all the time. He says "hero fold" when the guy drops pocket kings. They've no clue of the lingo at all.
Like why would u even play the k9 offsuit i dont get it. It cant be that hard to just see that hand in the biggest tourney of ur life and be like yup.. standart fold
with Krish , Lucky & Reza, why didn't Lucky and Reza still play out the hand against each other ? Krish was all in... but they acted like they knew each others QJ hands without showing ? weird
"honey, he called me with quad queens"
😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
honey... where's my roast beast sammich ???
If you know you know
Where was the dumb play with Dwan and Atchison? He had decent equity on the turn.

Perhaps a little unorthodox, but very strange to include in a dumbest poker plays video

02:34 Hellmuth having a meltdown while sitting next to a pack of "sour patch" is ..... *chef's kiss*
😂😂I didn't even notice that. Great observation lol
The way that guy breathes at 12:30 is IMMORAL
Tom dwan is semi bluffing and is not so bad

Underrated channel

I don't think I've seen that hand. But will add that for a future video. Thanks for the suggestion 😎

@@RoyalFlushMediaCompany pokergo: heads up duels, koon vs hellmuth
same exact area the nick wright vs hellmuth was taken from in pokergo. the nick wright one happened earlier than the koon one though.
Durrs play is only stupid because Hansen plays are even more stupid.
Jow is this short16 minutes
Phill helmuth is a donk
Dwans was a semi bluff and not a bad one either why is it on this list?
Which Dwan hand are you referring to? The first or second one?
@RoyalFlushMediaCompany first

Your comments are so bad, u dont understand how the game really works

Poker is a game of chance, like any other gambling!
HE FOLDED?!!!

I think players sometimes want to make fancy plays because their on TV. They want to look like geniuses but end up looking foolish.
Poker is a game of luck.
And skill
You can throw a game of skill. You cant throw a game of chance.

Did That One Guy Have Breathing Issues?
