The next part of the series is still in the works, slated for release tomorrow. Subscribe to catch it! Also, can you catch what I missed in this video? 🤨
I have a bunch of nos ceramic caps and AB cc resistors. I wish i had some blue molded’s that you need. I’ll bring the stash. I even have some NOS domino mica caps in 250 and 500pf for Tweed amps. I’ll leave a few with you if you ever need them.
Nice clean work.. I had a 65 Super sold it a few years ago as I'm not using large amps anymore. I do have a studio slip premium cover if you're interested?
@@YeatzeeGuitar just in that one position, yes. Blue moldeds and ceramic discs everywhere else. Never silver micas unless it’s an old domino cap. New production kidney bean micas sound weird and they have a high failure rate in high voltage positions. Also, your blue molded caps aren’t doing you any favors being stuck living in the tone stack of the normal channel. Might as well move them over to the vibrato channel. It’s the channel you’re supposed to use in a super reverb anyway. It’s not like you’ve got to worry about preserving original solder joints here.
I just scored a silver front baby for a ridiculous low price and I want to make it good as new..are there any resources available to keep me from damaging the value? I'm afraid that if I update anything I will lower the value of this insanely Beautiful Amp..thx again 8:15 8:17 8:18
Nice to see you back, 2 videos in one day! 😁 I agree, I always cringe when an amp gets opened up and I see these huge orange drops..yes they sound good but they definitely don't look good Lol
Thanks! And yes totally, I don't (yet) have any preconceived ideas of their tonal changes they're just so ugly and imo tend to be a sign of a tech that just shotguns stuff which I don't love.

Looking forward to hearing it. I have the same amp and I absolutely love it.
Nice work, good choices made.

♥♥♥ You rock!
Thank you.
nice work!
Thanks!
🍻 TBD! 🍻
Just for you at this point 😉
@@YeatzeeGuitar just know you got at least one shirt and/or hat sold. 🤣
Hell yeah, I'm watching this with my beer and peanuts

Thanks! Maybe, I don't really use covers but I could see it helpful for gig transportation
😎
Do I see the death cap in there by the pilot light?
No, the death cap is under the ground switch
@@YeatzeeGuitar Ah right, are you going to remove it to make the amp safe?
Hmm, might have been removed already, hard to see in the top down view...
@@Kirk_Mcgurk it's already safe, it's not in circuit but I will be removing it just to have a spare if needed for another amp 👍
@@YeatzeeGuitar Great! You do very nice work btw...looks much tidier as you move through the process of replacing the components.
Want a hot tip? Find yourself one .022 400v tropical fish cap and swap out the coupler exiting v2b.
Prefer the tone of those?

@@ampyamps keep watching the video 😉 final minute or so I moved the 022 to the vibrato channel and said exactly that 🙂👍

Not sure what you mean exactly, but I literally show everything I do to mine in a series linked in the description
Buddy this like Brain surgery , with out the whole life of someone in the balance lol...
Something about watching this amp get soldered and repaired is so soothing. Hahaha! Great content!

Lovin the domes. I’ve been soldering from the bottom on new builds and it is incredibly satisfying to do.
Ooh nice!
