I love that I get to watch a new video each Sunday night before bed. I just love watching you with your family. Seeing you take pleasure in the little moments is just heart warming. I know you don't feature Adam much but I love watching him interact with the kids. You have a beautiful family.

It's always a delight to see a new video from you on Sundays. I love watching little Benjamin when he is concentrating on something. I wonder what is going on in his mind? Gabriel is maturing so quickly, too; he is growing into a thoughtful young man. You have much to be proud of as parents.

My brother in law told me about sprinkling cinnamon into the soil before planting, lightly mixing it into the topmost layer. It does prevent gnats and fuzzy growths.

There is something profoundly satisfying about sharing a meal. Eating together, breaking bread together, is one of the oldest and most fundamentally unifying of human experiences. Happy family time! Cheers, Domenico.

You are such an inspiration even to this retired 70+ year old. Thank you for your videos. I wondered if you have considered seed saving? You mentioned not always having great harvests with your peppers. When you save the seeds of hierloom plants to grow the next year they become more and more acclimated to your specific growing conditions when you harvest from the best of each plant, providing better harvests each year.

We do some seed saving - a lot of flowers, herbs, and anything that ends up bolting too soon, like lettuce.

Thanks for sharing your week with us! :) In my home country, we're celebrating Pretzel Sunday today! On this day, women are given a pretzel as a sign of love. It's related to Easter but don't ask me how. Commonly, they're topped with toasted sliced almonds and filled with apricot jam. Thought I'd put it out there if any bakers want a challenge :)

My belief is that, if your teenage son enjoys talking to you, you are a good parent.

I always get so excited to see a new video from you. I miss all the time that I used to do canning and baking with my Mom when my own kids were littles. They are all grown now and while they enjoy the foods, they haven't taken the time to learn the lessons just yet. Watching you with yours makes me really miss them when they were little like that. You're doing a spectacular job. One thing you will love after they are grown is that they will come visit and no matter if they know how to can or not...they'll always prefer Mom's!

I filled some beds last year with that method. This year digging down to plant some strawberries, the soil was wonderful down. I couldn’t tell where the top potting soil stopped and the leaves and sawdust and other materials started. Just a little touch of sawdust color deep down. I didn’t get to the wood layer but everything above was wonderful soil!

I love the right orange and yellow green on your homes walls! Me too! I once had a small tall living room which was all white, then I painted the ceiling and top 18 inches of the walls a beautiful strong lavender or violet. Loved it!!!! Felt so much better about that room, and colored or dark ceilings appear to lower the height of the room do it's more cozy. I did the same thing with apricot or peach in the dining room.

Hello, first time commenting here but have enjoyed watching for several months now. Thank you for all you do to share!
I'm not sure if you're interested in this idea, or someone else watching, but we have raised beds as well and did the wire in the bottom as you do.
But when setting up the last beds, we started laying the wire on the ground, secured it with landscaping pens until we set the bed down on top of it. We, then, pull the pins and trim just a little ways out from the bed.
For us, it was much easier and didn't seem to waste any more than trimming once put down inside.
Hopefully, this will be of help to someone!
Again, thank you! Going to try your bread 😊
