Seemingly...in a "random" way today, I thought to myself that I had 'nailed' something (...don't remember exactly what I believe to have nailed!) Anyway, E. Tolle responded to an email from me before, AND the word "NAILED" in the title caught my attention. That's why I'ma watchin' this video.
Really nice video, is interesting to me that you speak about that state of neutrality where you perceive things as they are; I often notice by watching manifestation videos that they tell you that you have to force your state of being and be exited like every time, however as you said as long you are in a state of peace you can manifest good things without the need of control
I think this is the key here! Thank you for the comment! If we are able to just simply exists in neutrality, to the best of our ability, then we can write a future that resides within any direction we may wish.
Thank you, so the 5 precepts can be a cornerstone or a grounding aspect to the practice - following with self treatment. The mind is the thing that needs to be softened and relaxed. The practice can help with this, but if not enough then please seek help. I hope that helps and wishing you well!
In some ways this is "happy think"......what if this flower stall was in Ukraine near the Russian border., but yes I do understand the gist of what is being said.
conversely, a person could be living in a relatively peaceful place with "adequate" income, food & shelter, yet the voice(s) in their head(it's thoughts not observed but simply believed & obeyed, its validity/authority left un-checked) could torment & stress them to the point where their experience of life seems a miserable ordeal, or worse, not "worth" living, the case of a David Foster Wallace comes to mind..🤷🏼 I've been dealing with alcohol addiction for 40+ yrs., I'd get sober, go to A.A., get on a "good" path for a year or two, & yet because I wasn't paying attention to the stress my thoughts were creating, I'd eventually re-lapse, it was by watching Eckhart Tolle videos that I learned to practice "self observation", not struggling with the thoughts, voices in my head, not using willpower/won'tpower to "hold them down or keep them out" but simply just bringing awareness to the thoughts & knowing I don't have to "fall in line" with the thoughts or turn to drinking for relief..
I have a question about neutrality-what is it and if you’re in a neutral state, do you no longer perceive any reality? Are you speaking metaphorically regarding the brain?
Thank you for the comment - I'd say that complete lack of perceived "reality" would be the ultimate definition of this neutrality, but this would be very hard or impossible to experience in the practice. So what I'm really speaking to here might be more recognized as a state of deep mental and physical peace wherein you are much less effected by external or internal stimuli. Even if this is difficult to recognize, I think it is still the aim of the practice. So keeping the mind neutral, or trying to anyway, as thoughts and experiences arise...that would be a good direction to take, IMO. I hope that helps!
This is so amazing and eye opening . Thank you for sharing this 🙏
You are very welcome - I am grateful for your comment and I am glad you enjoyed!

Saying the 3 precepts doesn't get me anywhere
How can one get themselves out of a downward spiral 🌀?

How about someone that gets killed? What happened there??? Hi, you just popped up on my TH-cam. I watched a documentary about murder
Can you add some more context to your question? I'd guess you are speaking to the nature of the mind creating that reality, but just want to clarify

@@RootsofLife Thank you, that does help. I wondered if you were speaking of more like the Matrix and that didn't sit well with me.
@@cinde6068 Thank you and I'm glad my reply helped to clarify.
neutrality is the goal!
