    Can't tell you how refreshing it is to see you say grace before supper. Sedona looks amazing. Happy the stove worked. Love those sunrises and sunsets. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.

    Love the boondocking. One of our favorites. You should try Kofa National Park between Yuma and Quartzsite. Great views, big mountings. Wide open spaces.

    Even the Jeeps and P/Up Trucks were going slow on that rocky road...So imagine a house on wheels...extra slow...In my van, everything just falls...ugh...Also glad that the generator clearance is fine driving slow on that rocky road...good job !! Njoying you’re video as always...

      One RV Im looking at is a Little Guy teardrop, The Rough Rider version would be the way to go for roads like that! Higher clearance & tougher-wider tires.

    Ha! We stayed on that same road when we went to Sedona in our van. FYI to everyone, the cops patrol that place CONSTANTLY and they will kick you out if you are parked in a trail head over night. We got lucky and got a spot a few hundred yards down the road by the RC plane field. We carried onto Jerome afterwards and had a blast. We have the extended Transit at 22 feet long and were fine in Jerome if you were concerned about your van being too big. We even have the same plates and bowls as you two!

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the info! Always good to know. I can't believe we have the same plates and bowls 😂

    • @VoklstWestie
      @VoklstWestie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Im not understanding what you mean by 'trailhead' on that road? You mean where Vancaskeys parked overnight? Thee off shoot where the rocks were in a circle?
      Or the roadway itself (I get that its a thoroughfare, bumpy as it is)

    • @LastNameTom
      @LastNameTom 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@VoklstWestie Sorry, the parking areas you would park in that connect to the trails. The cops say the lots are for people walking the trails only and will kick you out or ticket you if you are there not walking the trail.

    • @VoklstWestie
      @VoklstWestie 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LastNameTom wow so is that, posted on signs? Or signage that says " No overnight parking"?
      I assumed all those eagle icons on Mr Van caskeys' phone were boondocking areas??? Guess not.

    Enjoying your videos. Do you have a portable toilet? - wondering how you deal with not having a bathroom in the van for dispersed camping which usually has no washroom facilities at all if I recall correctly.

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Glenn. We do have a cassette toilet. We have a tent also if we want it to be outside. So far it’s worked out great for us.

    Nicely done! Did it get hot enough for the A/C? I was wondering how it works and what brand/model it is.
    Overall, how do you like your van? I saw the other video where you were "questioning" your van purchase. Any regrets or are you happy with what you got?
    Be seeing you!

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks so much! It did not get hot enough to use the A/C. We have used it before and it works ok. Living in Arizona is tough on it. It really seems to only be able to cool it down 10-20 degrees. I'm not sure of the brand/model, I'll have to look and get back to you. We do love our van. We for sure will upgrade at some point but this fits our needs for now :)

  • @glennmcmullen5192

    Another quick question and forgive me cause I have no experience in this and am exploring this as an option. What happens at dispersed camping sites like this when you are in an all in one class B if you say want to go to town for a meal. I guess you technically lose your spot and have to set up in a different one when you come back? Is that essentially the gist of all these spots - first come first serve but if you leave you start back from scratch? Thx!

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are right. We lose our spot. Kind of a bummer. We go to town first and eat out and what not before finding our spot and once we find it we stay and hope we have everything we need. LOL.

    instead of polluting with a keurig coffee pod why don't you use a French press for coffee since you guys love coffee so much

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are recyclable but you are right it might be time to look into getting a French press 😀

    • @TexasChance58
      @TexasChance58 ปีที่แล้ว

      Realizing you didn't ask me personally, but just to add that not everyone can do French Press - because of the sludge factor, "French Press"ed coffee can raise cholesterol up to 12%! We'd do have a Keurig machine but it uses "eco-pods" which are recyclable and compostable.
