    I live in Hawaii and about two years ago I met the father of the vocalist and we started talking about music and he mentioned his daughters band and I typically don't just check out bands because random people tell me too but in this situation I did and ill be honest, I'm glad I did lol. It's awesome to see you guys getting some exposure. So if you guys see this comment, thank your vocalists awesome dad for promoting you guys while he was on vacation in Hawaii.

      That’s a hell of a list. Royksopp is easily one of my favorite bands ever, Crystal Castles was but I have a hard time listening to them at times now due to the alleged abuse done to Alice. Daft Punk is classic, Phantogram I only recently found but am hooked on

    I'll always remember sitting in the cold crowd, drenched in rain and waiting what seemed like forever the first night of Pitchfork 2012 for this band to start playing. A band I never heard of but will never forget. It was worth the wait. It was euphoria in a needle that I will never stop mainlining.

      It’s my favorite song too. I can only explain it by addressing that my partner and I have been able to reconcile many differences when putting this song on after a fight we end up just listening quietly and holding hands. The lyrics, although they seem whimsical at first, are quite dark and mean a lot to me personally. I would imagine the lyrics mean different things to different people but I can’t help but find the melody and the words so meaningful. And I agree with you in that I never get tired of it.

      +blunts Making a video is a hard thing, some artists simply do not have enough money to pay producers, editors etc. or financial supporters in the beginning, but once they gain some more popularity things become easier. Especially when they are talented like Purity Ring! :)

    • @benjaminkraft5309
      @benjaminkraft5309 8 ปีที่แล้ว +31

      Yeah, well, they stretch analogies and metaphors extremely far, to the point where they could be talking about several different things in many of their songs.
      It's a very good strategy, using extremely visceral and emotionally charged lyrics that have multiple possible meanings, so that many more people can empathize with them or imagine these songs are what they wish.

    • @benjaminkraft5309
      @benjaminkraft5309 8 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Actually this song seems pretty... well it seems to be about sex and murder, probably the first leading to the second, although I'm not sure exactly how...
      I think the "Lofticries" might actually be the screams of a victim for help...

    • @benjaminkraft5309

  • @bobproxmire3637
    @bobproxmire3637 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    It is the emotional power of this song that is compelling people to listen and comment. All the same "LOVELY" doesn't seem to completely convey the many facets and moods I feel now. Melancholy, joy, sensual...
