The course of a person’s life can often be charted with music. Rhymes from the early years, childhood songs, celebratory moments and music to mark the passing of a life.
This program featured Jonathan Dove's The Passing of the Year which sets seven texts with moving directness and a beguiling sense of the seasons' passing. The work has broad appeal with its varied and exciting harmonies and melodies.
