LOVE those sound effects... haha I'm in love with the Pottery Barn version but I agree, you get a lot more bang for your buck with the Target. Such clever little tips you offer, like tilting the cloth napkin! I am tempted to get that serving set... we do a lot of tacos and that is way more fun than our random bowls.
Just going for what I like, not based on price or quality, I preferred the Target setup.
Although I am not sure I would use a blanket. Maybe run to a dollar-type or party store and pick up 2 or 3 solid colored paper tablecloths to layer or one inexpensive plastic one. Post-party the paper could either go into recycling or used to bundle up things to be tossed. The plastic could also be reused for covering germinating seeds or (if folded) as a knee rest when gardening. Can you tell I am into recycling?😉

That was beautiful! Loved the yard! What a great neighbor. Loved the cheerful look of Target but know/agree with you that quality of Pottery Barn will always be a bit higher. I have things I got from them 20 years ago and still love it! My opinion about Target though is that with great prices, while some things may not last as long, I definitely love what I get there and get my money back from how often I use the things. Thank you so much for the wonderful ideas💛🖤 PS….I always say silverware, too 😂

Love what you do. The comparison blew me out the water. I feel like it really doesn't matter how pretty of decor because when guests come over the eat; all that's in mind is "where's the beef" lol. Bring on the food. The men could care less. The women would say " aww how cute, the tableware matches". Again thanks for your "time and attention to details". Both look wonderful, but the Pottery Barn is very dramatic and Target is more casual. Nice job, these comparison videos are so much fun!
I agree with you about what is the occasion...the Target tablescape would be okay for a casual brunch, lunch but the Pottery Barn for maybe a more formal luncheon or business meeting or even a dinner. You have to love that black and white though! Very elegant.
I love the look of The Pottery Barn tablescape but the price of the Target tablescape would win me over. I love the colors of the target setting though. You always do the best settings.

The target set was a deal!! The colors were so sunflower-y. One could add a special sunflower item they already have.
I liked both table settings, but the black and white was my fav. I think basically because of the pattern. Both were beautiful.

Well…tacos! I loved both tables, and let’s be honest 💗 it’s the good friends, family, fun and conversation that are the most valuable.
Both table settings turned out amazing! Loved the tip for outside tableware being made of melamine. Makes total sense . We have some picnic dishes that are made of the same. (Just don't microwave it! Yes, I know that from experience, rather from my son's experience! 😵💫)
I definitely love the lemon set! But the black and white went so well for the Tacos!

For Summer the Target one gets my vote. The Pottery Barn one felt more for a formalish small intimate dinner party, but they both look great.

They were both darling but I have to say even though it a lot more costly I really liked the Pottery Barn setting.
I actually loved both equally, but for different reasons. Like you said, the Target tablescape is cheery and perfect for a brunch or tea but Pottery Barn looked more sophisticated, like for an evening meal. Jason's refried bean recipe looked delicious, even though it started out looking like dog food. Well done on both tablescapes!
I love Pottery Barns so much!! But only shop their clearance & mostly sheets. Target was perfect! Good job!

I like the black and white pattern that could be used as a neutral with really bold colors of napkin, table cloth etc... If money were no object I'd choose the Pottery Barn setting. I really liked your napkin holders too. I'd probably use them with the other setting as well. I always enjoy these videos as it gives me ideas with my own dishes.
Usually when you do one of these, I end up choosing the Target set-up, but I absolutely love the black-and-white from Pottery Barn! But it looked a little busy. Maybe a different place mat-or a charger rather than a mat? I have a round dining table and I find that round placemats seem to fit the table better-but are harder to find. Very pretty!
I love them both but I think I like Target better. Target has had some really pretty melamine designs over the years! Would love to see more PB vs Target videos.
With the black & white you can add different colours to change out the look. so more practical in the long term. I liked both looks but I also like how the black & white echoed the black garden furniture.

If price were no object, I would love the Pottery Barn table !You also made the Target look lovely. You are so good at all of us this. Frankly, I think you go to Dollar Tree and have a table look gorgeous. It was so nice to see Jason cooking and I will try his recipe for those refried beans that DO look like dog food to start out but look amazing when done. You guys are a great team...love your ideas

Just because I like color more, I liked the first one more. But they are both lovely. Agree on refried beans? Poke the bottom and it slides out smoothly.

However, I like color and I think the Target pieces were more casual and pretty with the brunch setting. The orange juice carafe is gorgeous! Comparing dollars, Target wins and gets the job done! 💕

I really did like pottery barn better. But I would never spend that much. I put a little butter and equal part canola oil in skillet and heat. Refry the beans again. Can add a little more spice to taste. But they look homemade and does taste better. Always enjoy your videoes. Glad to see Jason still cooks.
The pottery barn is beautiful . More formal. But the Target is definitely better for brunch or summer. You can cook for me anytime 😄 Jason made retried beans look good. I usually don’t care for them ❤️

I have a delicious refried beans recipe to share...2 cans of Pinto beans, drain one of the cans, 4-6 Tblsp of butter, 1 cup of shredded Colby-Jack cheese. Cook all together on the stovetop to heat through and mash with a potato masher!

Both tables were beautiful. Another benefit of melamine is that it’s good when training children to set the table and dishwasher duties.
