Ryan's last win, but also the worst... Marvin is looking 3 times like.... where should i do it.... where is this the least obvious... behind that big banking.
Yeah Musquin definitely pulled over if you look closely you can see his front wheel lock up meaning he had to have pulled in his front brake and there is no reason to grab a handful of front brake right there and lock up your front wheel
i dont like how a rider can have 9 wins & someone can have 3 & still be ahead ...remember in 2009 js7 had 11 wins & only won the championship by 4 points & reed only had like 3 wins ...Race wins need to mean more
Its cuz the sport doesnt reward winning as much as it should. F1 and motogp have such big gaps from 1st to second place in terms of points but aupercross only has 3.
KTM team orders LOL. Even if #25 wouldn't have pulled over for Dungey the championship was out of reach for ET3 considering how Vegas went. Sad to racing not be pure racing though.
Business my friend. Manufacturers pay a lot of money for getting their brand on the top of the box, plus tomac wasnt ready for that year. Just blew it so many times .
yea and tomac won 4 championships in the 450 with 6th all time SX wins while marv always have been the 3rd place guy. No wins no titles for a long time lmao
As a Tomac fan, this was a hard one to watch, because it was the race that lost him the title in 2017. As a supercross/motocross fan in general, this is THE MOST embarrassing supercross race in history. The level of low that KTM stooped to be sure Dungey won is shameful. I am a lifelong Decoster fan, he and Mitch Payton are probably the motocross equivalent of Nick Saban or Bill Bellicheck. But this was just so wrong and stupid. Musquin just pulled over, I mean at least wreck or something and make it look like a legitimate mistake. This was also the season that I lost a lot of respect for Dungey. Aside from maybe 2010 with Villopoto, this was one of the only years he had to fight all the way to Vegas to win a title, and his attitude about it was really pathetic.
Don't forget when savatgy and tomac were teammates and savagty pulled over so that Eli could win the triple crown race for 1 million dollars. Tomac didn't even thank savagty for letting him get by. hate it or love it they all do it. This isn't stooping low, this is strategy, they don't care that your a tomac fan and that you don't think its fair. At the end of the day its a championship at stake and for musquin to give dungey a hard time at the end of the race just to get 1 win on his record would have been selfish on Marvins behalf. Theres nothing wrong or stupid about it, its a championship, im sure Eli's team woulda done the same thing cause they have done it in the past.
KenDawg HighLights duh it’s selfish. IT’S RACING. You’re not out there to help someone else win. It was Marvin’s night, and the championship was practically wrapped up and had a bow on it for Dungey since Tomac had just thrown it away. But this was the year Dungey was a whiney pot all season anyway because he actually had to race for a title for once in his life so... Marvin should’ve just stayed out front and won, same goes for the savatgy situation. It’s an individual winner sport.
@@racingfuel28 dungey did not have it wrapped up at all, the championship literally came down to the last lap in Vegas if you watched it. had musquin not let dungey pass, that championship could've ended differently. and its not selfish cause at the end of the day its musquins decision. I'll rest my case on this, in situations like this when it comes to championships, its less of an individual sport and more of a business. Teammates will do whatever they can do to help there other teammate/friend on the track win the chip. On the last race in Vegas, tomac and dungey were leading and tomacs teammate josh grant was close behind dungey trying to get infront of him to close the point gap for tomac and Jason Anderson was right behind dungey stopping riders from getting to dungey since there good friends, for example he took out chad reed. So you may not like it, you might even hate it, but its the way the sport is played and it makes things interesting.
@@kendawghighlights7262 Oh yeah, it's definitely the way it is. And that race in Vegas was one of the best. But at the end of it, it comes down to is this the product that the fans deserve, and no it's not. Especially when a rider is obviously better on that night, and he just straight up pulls over and stops to let his teammate win. What made the Vegas race so good was that the first five riders were all battling and racing for position, yeah Grant was making moves trying to help Tomac, and Anderson was doing things trying to help out Dungey. But they were still racing hard, they weren't just stopping and saying "oh well, you're the champ, go on and win." The only thing I didn't like is when Anderson just t-boned Reed. I mean block passing like Tomac was doing on Dungey would've been fine, but just taking him out all together is different. There are times when a takeout is perfectly acceptable, Osborne on Savatgy that same night was a prime example, for the championship or last lap for the win, I will never complain about. But what Anderson did was just not the best. Now I will say that had Anderson let Reed go, Reed would've absolutely done the exact same thing to Dungey because they had already had several run ins in 2017 lol. But it just makes it less fun to watch when guys are just pulling over for teammates, favors and passes to help points are one thing but just not racing them is just wrong to me.
@@racingfuel28 you have a good point, although what they did made sense to win a championship, there are a lot of people who are musquin fans who would have loved to see him win that race and a lot of people who were watching that would've loved to see a battle for the lead. at the end of the day you can't blame them for doing what they did but at the same time it is kinda they shouldn't really do it. Unfortunately I see the sport heading that direction to where theres more allies and enemies rather then just every rider for themselves. but it has its ups and downs. in Vegas it made things interesting however in this race it made things boring.

Been to every race they had in MetLife
Nice, i was at the final round in Las Vegas. It was my first supercross.
Damn Monster Energy Supercross why you gotta bring this stain of a race back up?
They sometimes done this before.

Rick Visser should have just doubled the triple and would’ve been fine.

Nice "mistake" by Moose-Can. Never would have happened if Tomac hadn't choked. Damn.
As a fellow Minnesotan proud of Dungee
You mean musquin

It's not blurred out. It just from erasing

musquin looked up at the manager's tower on the last lap before dungey got by...didnt notice that until now.

Went to my first pro race at St. Louis this year. Unfortunately I never got to see RV2 or Dungey in person.
