A yr long championship reign is not a transitional champion. I think sami zayne title reign is a transitional reign. He will most likely lose it at summer slam or clash at the castle.

Hammerstone was in the dynasty with Richard Halliday or Holiday and MJF a few years ago. I thought they was going to introduce them at the dynasty ppv and bring them in with MJF's comeback but obviously they didn't. Holiday was the first person I heard use the rarified air phrase until Jerucho started his learning tree gimmick.

Cody is far from a transitional champion. There’s nobody bigger than him in the company other than Roman. He’s gonna hold it for at least a year but most likely longer.
I love cody, but he is not holding the title longer than a year, I'd be surprised if that were to happen. He doesn't need a long title reign either. He is not a transitional champion though he is the top babyface and the flagship of the company going forward. Couldn't be happier for the guy either

Currently doing an interesting angle where he seems to have been released but he shows up middle of the show, yells about how he was treated and security forces him out. Cody is FAR from transitional champion, had a all time match with AJ, I think he's doing well. After a multi-year reign anything is gonna look smaller by default. Priest winning most likely just to delay Drews proper reign until Clash is a transitional reign.
